RE: Rockerball trailer hitch -- has anyone tried it?

I've never had any lurch or jerking either you might want to check all of your connections for loose bolts.

RE: Hitch requirements

With a 3/4 ton truck and a 6000lb. trailer one should be more than enough.

RE: What brands of Travel Trailers are NEW & Quality

I'm not even going to comment on my Jayco, it just seems that the best part of it is it's paid for.

RE: What is this make?

It reminds me of a 50's maybe early 60's Yellowstone. Can't say why but there's just some thing about it.

RE: Help!!! Frame broke

What kind of TT is it and does it really have a Lippert frame are is every body just guessing because of Lippert's previous reputation. I've got a Bal huck and buck type frame it's 11 years old and when I hook it up the tongue bends so the propane tanks almost touch the front wall actually the plastic cover does, but when I unhook it goes back to normal I'm still waiting for it too break. Lippert is not the only company that builds a frame that seems too leave a lot too be desired from customers.

RE: Slide problems (electrical)

If you haven't cured it there is no reason for it not too do it again.

RE: Slide problems (electrical)

Bypass both the positive and negative wires from the in side of the switch and see if that does anything if it helps just make the wires permanent and remove the old wires if it don't help then I would say you have a problem with the switch or the motor. Just make sure the wiring is right.

RE: Leaving Trailer Hooked Up

Make sure you're trailer will carry a full water tank on rough rolling roads. I have heard of too many trailers drop their full water tanks under normal towing conditions.

RE: Trailer length restrictions

I don't think any of the parks in Mo. have any restrictions before, I make my reservation I google the park I'm looking for and get the driveway measurement. My trailer is 31ft. with the rear slide out and the measurement for the whole rig is 48' I tell the person that is taking my reservation that my rig is 50' I have never been questioned on it also I make sure they site is at least 50'. that way I can park with the trailer. This seems to work with both the Corp. of Eng. and in Mo. and Ill. and with the Mo. state parks.

RE: Running your propane Refrigerators while fueling?

openspaces I have never heard of static electricity from a plastic container, but since I would never dream of plastic being able to carry a charge. however since you have evidently had proof and first hand knowledge of this, from now on just too be safe I will always put my containe3rs on the ground just too be sure. It's not worth it to chance messing up a trip not counting the possible pain and destruction just because I was too lazy to lift a tank and put it on the ground this will also go for my boat tanks. Thanks for the info. I really appreciate it.

RE: How are Power King tires?

I tried the Power King Tow Maxes and after only a year and less that 200 miles one of them got a good size bulge and the dealer wouldn't stand behind it because I didn't buy his extended warranty, now I don't buy anything from him. I put all 4 in the garage to put on my '67 Dodge just to be able move it around when I work on it. They work for that.

RE: Running your propane Refrigerators while fueling?

The day before we leave I switch the fridge on to electric, just before we pull out I switch to propane and that stays on till we reach our destination, then it goes back on electric until we leave the campsite to come home or go to another camp site then it's back to propane, until we get where we are going I don't shut it off when we get gas a meal or any other reason until we get home. Seems like scare tacktics like not filling a plastic gas container in the bed of a pickup because you might get a spark, It's plastic how is that going to cause a spark?

RE: In our future. 2016 Jayco feather 23rlsw

I have a 2007 Jay Feather EXP 254 and if it wasn't for Jayco standing behind it during and after the warranty period I wouldn't still have it because there would be nothing left but rot and mold. I have too check for rot and recaulk at least once a year. The quality is terrible. If they are still using that huck and buck type frame don't walk, run my axles aren't even lined up evenly and the mechanic that I deal with tells me there is nothing that can be done about it with that type of frame and suspension. The only reason I keep it is it's paid for and we don't camp often enough to justify another one. Maybe just maybe the newer ones are better but check them out all over real good before you buy and good luck. I have heard complaints on newer Jay Feathers too. I used too think Jayco was a superior brand then I bought one. I know that all brands can have their problems but WTW was just asking about Jayco Feathers I believe he meant the Jay Feather so here's the con of the pro and con he's looking for. They were great on standing behind their warranty even after it was expired for almost a year. But now that Thor has taken over I don't know if you will get the same service.
