Source for HWH R2365 springs ??

It's been over 2 years and HWH still doesn't have the springs in stock.
Anyone have a source for R2365 spring kits ? I've been using the trusty 2x4 to raise the jacks the last couple of inches when needed, but would like to replace the springs so I can retire the 2x4 !!!

RE: Under Counter Mounted Coffee Maker

be careful as the steam can have an effect on the finish of the material directly above it. other than that, it worked fine.
bumpy
Yep---- what I did was put a piece of lexan ( or similar) above the pot, it slid in the small gap between the unit and the bottom of the cabinet... when I had the brewer on, I just pulled out that lexan a few inches and it kept the steam off the cabinet.

RE: Typical price for Class A tire mounting and balance

I'm also in the Tampa area and when I needed tires a couple years ago, I went with NTCS. You have to pay a small one time fee to join... its good for ever and applies to any vehicle you may have. They , by far, had the best price on tires and arranged to have installation at a place of your choosing. When you get the tires, you are billed directly by Michelin... not NTCS or the tire place. RE: Used to be informative

Back in the day it was Mexico wanderer, 2oldman and many others. That was about 5 to 10 years ago. We started snowbirding in 2013 and I set up our FW and utility trailer to double tow our atv and dirt bikes. This site was excellent for info on powering up an rv for boondocking.
Now that my wife has passed on Im probably downsizing to my tiny cabin and a Honda rancher on my utility trailer. I always liked Quartzite and Ogilby rd in socal. I didn’t want to go to farcebook but maybe I have to
One ( of the many things) I don't like about facebook is that everything is just sort of random and scattered....
I saw your profile said Oatman--- we were there last month... it has been about 25 years since our last visit !

RE: Maintenance Schedule !

As you know the literature that comes with the purchase of an RV is pretty slim and leaves a lot out ! Every year , about April the first, I perform a much needed maintenance chore , changing the " blinker Fluid " . It is easy and examples of how to do it can be found on U-Tube ! You can purchase an 8 oz bottle at most auto stores for less than $10 . I do this every other year although once I went seven years but the fluid that I pumped out was " nasty ". Be sure and put this on your schedule !
I have several cars/trucks and the RV so this is what I buy so I have enough . https://i.imgur.com/YtmoaGUl.jpg

RE: Difficulty timing a 1995 Chevy 454ci

How many miles on the engine ? Have you checked the timing chain ?
It does have north of 200k on it. I am thinking about the timing chain, but it was running, driving just days ago. Hurts my brain a bit to think about it. A timing job would involve dropping a front cover, removing the crank/harmonic balancer/water pump right?
Well you have some investigation to do. Check easier/simpler stuff first. I had one jump timing at about 175k miles , it would start and run, but run hot/rough. Then it jumped again and that was it... wouldn't start. I replaced the gears and chain in the motel parking lot that I had managed to coast into when it died.

RE: Camping in New Zealand

Never thought of the government red tape. How long ago was it your sister in law planned her trip? Thanks for the insight.
We were there a 5-6 years ago. We didn't camp, but rented a car and just freelanced and drove around for several weeks stopping at motels when we were done for the day. No red tape, no questions, no issues.

RE: Pets left alone in RV at campground?

We travel with a dog and do leave him inside when we must. Many of the campgrounds elaborate on the unattended pet by saying no unattended pets OUTSIDE.
I've read that well over 50% of RV'ers travel with pets.

RE: Is there such a thing a decent valve extender?

Not extentions, but actual longer valve stems that don't leak at Borg Valve Stems
Also can get similar at most truck tire places..... you do have to dismount the wheels/tires to install.

RE: Filing up DEF

We carry jugs, fill the DEF and then fill the tanks.
That's what I've been doing for the past 10 yrs. I have 2, 1 gallon jugs that fit nicely into my pegboard bay. I fill them with DEF after fueling and then when I'm at the next nights stop ( or when I stop for the next fuel up) I empty the jugs into the DEF tank. I have reasonable long flex spouts on the DEF jugs to facilitate putting into the DEF tank

RE: 2023 North Carolina Camping Destinations

I'm looking for campgrounds/resorts in North Carolina that I haven't visited to visit in 2023. What are some North Carolina campgrounds/resorts that you've visited in the past?
It would help us if you told us what area(s) of the state and which ones you have visited.

RE: Texas Hill Country

Recommendations for your favorite campgrounds in this area? We generally prefer State Parks, county parks, COE campgrounds.
Posters have hit most of the the high spots for this question.
But, having lived in this area for eons and canvassed places to RV here, I think it's worth mentioning for the benefit of RVers with larger rigs that none of the recommendations here apply to longer Class A's.
Our RV is a 43' Class A, and we can't get into any of these locations with the possible exception of Potter's Creek Park at Canyon Lake, but even at that, it would be tight. I don't want to try it.
This is our first time in the area and are currently in FIMFO. Very big rig friendly.

RE: Bill giving residents priority at booking FL state parks

If no out of state campers were allowed in state parks in Florida how much would “tourism” revenue go down? Precious little considering Disney, Universal Studio, Cape Canaveral, private parks and condos full of snowbirds, etc. Some of you seem to have the belief that as campers you’re integral to Florida’s survival and should have a vote in their affairs. I think you’re overestimating your value ($$$).
Exactly--- there are 3,600 campsites within Florida Sate Parks... there are 36,000 hotel rooms on the Disney property itself. Add in the off premise rooms all around Orlando and every place throughout Florida and then all the condo's, Air BNB's, privately run campgrounds and you can see that state parks are a very tiny fraction of tourist accommodations in the state.

RE: Bill giving residents priority at booking FL state parks

I dare to quote from an earlier post I made (now hopelessly lost back about three pages and now completely overlooked).
The principle of reciprocity is important to "travelers" such as we still are more than it is to full timers. We travel from state to state with the feeling that we are guests, but we know that for people traveling to Texas we are the hosts. I suggest that should be the norm. I can just imagine if we get state after state making such distinctions and passing laws. I look back over 25 years of RV traveling (and 60 years of state park camping) with great appreciation of the hospitality of almost every state in the nation. **Especially Florida... added to this quote and fully true.**
This law is not likely to affect the few years I have left to travel, but I think it would be a tragic decision and a terrible precedent for other states. Think carefully and remember to "do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
When I did my study back in 2010, 18 other states gave some type of preference to their residents.... Florida is just late to the game in giving the owners of the parks(state residents) proper access.
