RE: disappointing info for Jeep Trailhawk flat tow

Well if it's front wheel drive you may be able to use a remco lube pump for auto trans front wheel drive cars.

RE: disappointing info for Jeep Trailhawk flat tow

You could also go the route of a driveshaft disconnect. Now that you're so far into everything for flat towing would be cheaper than getting something else to flat tow and set everything up again.

RE: water heater drain mod

I read some where that the nylon Atwood plug was also a safety device. And to always use the plug. I hope you fitting doesn't react with the metal in the heater and seize up in the opening making it unable to ever come out.

Direct to stop SD transmission on Dec.31

Just spent 45 min on the phone with Tech support. Trying to get directv to let me change a good SD card from a broken SD receiver to a working receiver same model that I have. Would sell me a new card for the working receiver for $20.00. But advised that DirecTV was going to stop SD transmission on Dec. 31. Will have to wait and see if it's true or not.

RE: Jeep Cherokee tail light wiring

Do you have room in the tail lights to drill and put in a separate socket with an LED light. Then you will not have to tap into the Jeeps wiring. Just run separate wire from the plug on the Jeep side to the tail light wires of the socket you installed.

RE: Puzzle: What Class A RV can offer this precise need?

I think you will find most that have 2 bathrooms is because if the slide is in you can't get to the big bathroom with out climbing over something. So if you find the right one with one bath make sure you can get to it with all slides in. same goes for opening the refrigerator etc.

RE: Flooring Under Dinette (Pictures)

If the bench was cut at an angle to make the seat level I'd just put a spacer in the front and make the floor level with the floor on each side of the sloped area. Put a fake grill in it to make it look like a heater outlet.

RE: Help NEWBIE: Buying Class A Coach

Look for a well maintained used one. No use facing the problems of a new one not to mention the depreciation you get the minute you drive it off the lot.

RE: Turning A Toad

The only way you would really be able to bind the tow bars is to try backing up with them attached, especially if you tried to back up while you were turning. Also making a tight U turn. Other wise just tow it the same as towing a trailer.

RE: Towing Saturn Vue

Page 236 and up of the 2009 owners manual says the 4 wheel and all wheel drives can be flat towed BUT never over 65 mph.

RE: Towing Saturn Vue

If it lists in the owners manual under recreational towing you can. The trans is a Honda CRV type so follow the set for flat towing to the letter or you'll be replacing the trans.

RE: awning fabric - install upside down possible?

don't think you can do it if you have the metal cover type. If not the little flappy thing that blows in the wind on the outside of the unrolled awning will be on the inside rolled between the awning and roller but it should work inside out.

RE: A&E by Dometic window awning

Check with I think it's tough tops. They made the replacement material for my slide out awning and I'm satisfied with the material and workmanship. Just need to send them the measurements and web site tells you how to do that.

RE: No trailer brakes

If you can't feel anything take a compass and put it next to the wheel you want to test when the magnets on the brakes get power from the brake pedal the compass needle will move.
