RE: Blue Ox Tow Bar

Its pretty bad when they supply safty cable's to hold the hitch to the frame and 3 lousy bolts to hold the hitch on, just as bad when I put the hitch on my 03 jetta and just about lost it in Wisconson, same deal, bolts to small, had to rebild the whole hitch when we got home, using 3/8 angle and 1/2" bolts, no problem's for the next 8 yrs untill we sold the car. Car dolly after that.

RE: Bent Kingpin?

Just a quick FYI, you're looking a the spindle, not a kingpin which your trailer doesn't have. Best of luck. ScottIn 50 yrs of trucking pulling trailer's it was alway's known as a king pin, never ever heard it called a Spindle, you must be thinking of something totally different of what is being described. Just my thought's.

RE: Battery (really solar panel) Disconnect Question

Had a C40 controller destroyed when one of my 14 yr old batteries went south, so yes it is advisable to disconnect the panels fist, thats the way I was tought when I worked in the solar for 3 yrs. in Arizona and was working for 1 of the best @ Imperial Dam. and all I had was a 80 watt panel charging while the rig was in storage at the time. Just my thought's.

RE: Anti roll bars for fifth wheel with air ride.

If it was mine I would put check valves in the lines so the air can't tranfer, first I heard of anybody installing that system on a fw, How soft does everything need to be????

RE: British Columbia, Canada

The Coke is a fast rd. but very boring and a hard pull from either direction, myself if I travel to Vancouver I take the Fraser Canyon and it is a very good rd now than it was 50 yrs ago, going south from Kamloops I like 5A to go to Princton and on to the US but that is my because I can get see things and not have to drive 140k like most of them on the Coke. Going east from Clearwater I will take the rd. up through Jasper and east from there.East from Kamloops and you have some hard pulls to the Alberta border.

RE: DPF Delete Recommendations for Dodge Cummins

Just buy a good tuner or edge chip and you will definately improve your mileage and no black smoke, gross weight 17000 lbs and getting 14.4 us or 16 ltr's per 100 and driving it with 355 gears in the mountains of BC towing my fw.and that is @ 65 -70 mph.

RE: Ice cream?

Set my fridge on high Friday to get a quick cool down and forgot about it till Sunday past, everything in the fridge was frozen top to bottom, and that was in my fw, even a dish of peaches on the bottom shelf was frozen solid, must be a dam good fridge to do that, won't make that mistake again, back to a 3 setting and everything good today but lost a lot of produce.
