RE: Travel apps

I use Campendium and RVParkReviews to find places to go, and Travel planner for route planning. I also use FlattestRoute to check grades on different routes if I'm going through mountains, or think there might be issues. If I'm going off of a major highway I'll check the AllStays app or run the route through the CoPilot app for low bridge clearances.

RE: Bacon on the Thighs

I have a similar recipe in digital planner,do this with breasts and cream cheese. I saute some chopped jalapenos or maybe poblanos if I'm feeling mild. Mix that with some cream cheese and cheddar. Flatten out the chicken breast and salt/pepper or whatever seasoning you want on both sides, spread the cream cheese mixture and roll it up. Wrap with bacon. They're freaking delicious even cold

RE: Texas Fireballs

My family makes this every year too! Our recipe is very similar, the only difference is we double the sausage and do one hot, one mild or sage. Great recipe to share

RE: Baked Mac and Cheese w/Green Chiles and Bacon

This is one of our go-tos. My favorite is Southern style Mac N Cheese by Chef Millie Peartree from recipe book For camping, I bring the ingredients pre-measured, the milk in a jar with all the seasonings, the butter and cheese in a tupperware, and the flour in a ziplock.

RE: Dutch Oven Sweet Biscuits (Scones)

I wish this was one of those things where I walked into the attic of my grandmother’s farm house, brushed away the cobwebs with flashlight in hand searching for old family relics. There I uncovered an old cedar chest with half a century of dust weighing the lid down, I open the chest to see the glow of an old cook book with amazing recipes that have been kept safe from wars, depressions, floods and famine, the inscription on the inside of the book a handwritten note in Latin, one of those words with a bunch of U’s thrown in. I turn the page and boom, “great great great great Aunt Eunice’s sourdough biscuits”. But, alas.

RE: New generator for new rv. Recommendations

We love our quiet and fuel efficient Honda generator! We also usually take our old, heavy backup along with us too, just in case we should need it for something since we have small children - which was nothing special from Harbor Freight.

RE: Boondocking Etiquette

Yes, you can leave your rig for the day. It isn’t considered a dick move unless you leave it all week and come back only on weekends. My website
