RE: Trouble getting service

Just so you know the RV plants and manufacturers are not at full strength. If a dealership can't get responses on parts, what are they to do. Its always blame the dealer. Also I have never had anything but exemplary service and respect from the many Camping World stores I have been in. I look at it this way, if you are on the road away from the dealer you bought your RV from and run into trouble, if there was not a Camping World close you are screwed. Good luck getting getting any other dealer to even give a hoot.

RE: Price to expect if a RV dealer buys my coach

Good dealers will buy your motorhome outright if its something they can use. You should take it to any Camping World. They gave me a very fair price. You can't expect them to pay you retail. Any RV you sell to a dealer has to go through the shop. They will pay you NADA wholesale which is likely better than if it went to an auction and you won't get that selling it privately. The reason you should go to a dealer is they handle all the paperwork, title, etc. Good luck.

RE: Camping World Holdings Fiscal Health

I am not worried in the least about CW Holdings. Refocusing on the core business of selling and servicing RVs and closing non-performing Gander Outdoor retail locations was a very prudent decision. They will sell one of every 8 RVs sold in America this year I bet. Also, the quote referring to Trump is grossly misrepresented and goes back to the Charlottesville white supremacy march violence where Trump said there were good people on both sides. I have no issue at all with his remarks that day well over 2 years ago. Move along, nothing to see here. Thanks for the forum.

RE: News of RV sales down leading indicator to a recession.

The major RV retailers are still getting every trailer or motorhome they can get their hands on.

RE: Theft from dealership

I agree with Downtheavenue. While it does reflect badly, I don't know how a reasonable person could hold a company responsible for the actions of an individual in an instance like this. I am sure it was dealt with at his company.

RE: Confessions of an RV Salesman

These articles are just "click bait" to promote the people/businesses running ads on their site. I know many RV salespeople, many are my friends and I would trust them more than someone who publishes an anonymously written slam piece. You can replace RV Salesperson with anything, Car Salesperson, Pharmacist, Doctor, roofer, mechanic, anything. You make up your own mind who you want to deal with and if you feel good about it you win. Nice try Mac or whatever your name really is.

RE: Aggressive Sales tactics at CW

hey deadticket - I totally disagree. Nobody is pressured to selling their business to Camping World. If they sell their dealership its likely because the 3rd generation was a lousy operator and the family didn't want him or her to lose the family's money so they got out. The family member was probably offered a position when they sold but couldn't cut it with CW where they have accountability. Happens to many sons, daughters, and grandchildren of dealers who sell unfortunately. I do know reputable companies like CW, LaMesa, Generl RV have training and that training involves making sure people are compliant with the laws and offering valuable products to customers who buy. There also is a reason Camping World has the absolute best relationships with banks and warranty companies. I've seen the same thing with other growing dealers like LaMesa and Campers Inn. They want to keep the family members but its tough for them to realize they are not the boss any longer. A car guy told me one time "You can't sell your home and come in and swim whenever you want" Its the same thing so I take that with a grain of salt.

RE: Camping World about to go under??

How often have you seen a business continue to sell product and make excellent profits and the stock price move for a number of reasons. If you don't like the stock don't buy it. I invested in the company and am confident based on their sales and getting a rhythm for the new Gander acquisition they will be in good shape. They continue to sell over 100,000 trailers and motorhomes (in the Billion$ annually) and consistently outperform the pace of the RV Industry. That's a far cry from going out of business. I guess I am a long term sucker.

RE: Camping World about to go under??

CW buys the same trailers and Motorhomes every other dealer does. The exclusive brands (Coleman, example) are made on the same lines any other Dutchmen is made. My experience is Camping World transitioning some of their stores to a Gander RV is a plus for the RV'r. As for them going out of business, that's just wishful thinking from competitors. Especially the character in Iowa who does the webcast, (who by the way has a stake in an Iowa competitor). CWH is a public company, you can see their numbers. Looks pretty impressive to me.

RE: College F.Ball Current Top 10 Recruiting Rankings

Miami vs Florida in the Camping World Kickoff in Orlando, August 24. Should be a good one.
