RE: New TT bargaining...

My choices would be the WDH/Sway Bar 2nd... Back up camera, since it is prewired. Looks like it has a lot of extras... Congratulations.

RE: Traveling Mailbox and Florida Domicile

I am a FL resident, but traveled or 13 months. I used St. Brendan's Isle in Green Cove Springs, FL. They did great.

RE: Washing RV while traveling

Some self-servce car washes have a high bay which you can pull the camper through. I usually take the truck and either ask (and pay any extra fees at a campground) or maybe do a side at a time... I have seen signs 10.00 to wash camper at site posted in the campground office.

RE: travel trailer towing difficulty

I towed a 26' with a 2500 LB CC sRam, Hemi. No problem, no WDH//Sway bars needed. I then got a 23' trailer with same truck, no problem, no WDH/Sway bars. Traded for a 1500 Chevy Short bed, 4 door. Now have WDH/sway bar. With your size truck, IMO you would be fine. Try without before spending the money.

RE: Thinking of New Aluminum Sided Travel Trailer

I, too, was trying to figure out what your question was. I have an aluminum sided trailer, 3 sides, front is fiberglass/diamond plate. Hideout by Keystone. So far, very pleased with it.

RE: Smoke alarm

Sounds like it bit the dust. To silence, I have used one of the little elastic bowl covers or put plastic wrap on it. Not very safety wise... just what I have done .

RE: Losing home & need to immediately relocate to truck camper

I went from a 26' travel trailer to a truck camper, full-time. I lasted from FL to WA (via TX) and traded it for a 23' travel trailer. I used the whole bedroom area for "stuff" and just left the u-shaped dinette into a bed. Loved traveling in it and it was great for day trips. A basic tool bag (kept in the truck) was sufficient along with a socket set. No room for saws.. never needed one anyway. No solar setup, although my camper was solar prepped. Main thing I learned was to get a camper to fit the truck and the allowed bed weight. I had TorkLifts.. a whole new world. I had no sway, not hard to drive, no rolling. I did put airbags on my 2500 gas truck, LB, CC. I got into horrendous winds in TX and did great with it. I got a Palomino Back Pack, hard side and it had everything. Must sees? Google things to do in xxxxxx… never at a loss for what to see. Good Luck and sorry on the house. Plan B is always good to have.

RE: Roadside Food stops?

I once stopped at a Sonic which had a truck drive thru... steps outside and high speaker. That was nice! I use Cracker Barrels (but try to stop by 11 a.m. or maybe no RV parking due to cars in RV spots).. sometimes there is a fast food place right near a shopping center. Park in shopping center and walk over to eat in or bring back to RV. If I have lunch stuff and not too hot, I will fix in trailer. When I get to campground, unhook and go out and get dinner and bring it back.

RE: Dealers along I-4 in Florida

RE: Camper black water tank fluid heats up

Sounds like tank heaters are turned on. Kind of like "heated mirrors."

RE: Been away for a while

I will be 77 next month and still traveling by myself with my cocker spaniel. I am currently pulling a 23' travel trailer and find it is a little harder to set up and break down then it used to be a few years back. A small Class B would suit me better at this point. But, I am hoping I still have 3 or 4 more years at least. I stay in regular campgrounds, a lot Passport America or Corps of Engineer and also have Thousand Trails Zone Pass.

RE: Bunkhouse Feedback

I have a 2018 Keystone Hideout 19FLBWE.... no slide. This one was mfg. in Oregon and has been a very good unit. Towed it from Oregon to FL, nary a problem.

RE: Another Mile, Another Day

Just me and my pup. 200 miles a day and try to stop by 3 p.m, sooner if I can. No hurry. Unless I am staying for a week or two, I drive one day, drive the next day and that night will stay up for 2 nights. Repeat.

RE: Asking for a friend really

I had a Pleasure Way. Great little Classs B. My fantastic 20/20 hindsight.. should have kept it.

RE: I-40 Anything worth seeing

Amarillo has a very nice RV park, with limo ride to Big Texan Steakhous Bandera, TX, south of I-40, but not much is the Cowboy Capital of the World (Old Bandera Pass Cattle drive) Fredericksburg, TX.. German town and Military Museum (if open) I-40 has a big area, 7 Stations of the Cross which is very nice to see.. big RV parking area Understand NM is not letting people in unless you are a NM resident if you are going that far.

RE: Service Plan Refund

Usually, if your unit is paid for, the refund can come directly to you. However, if you cancel now and your unit is financed, the refund will go to your bank and be applied against the loan. So, if financed, best to wait until unit is sold and paid off. You will need proof that loan has been paid and then refund will come to you. Long process. Usually a month or more.
