RE: Andersen Hitch

I would say a few inches you will not notice....from everything I read. I'm sure someone will disagree.
It will not hurt anything to try...see if you like the feel.

RE: Morryde Rubber pin box

Happy with the Mor/Ryde pin box...my trailer scaled at 12,000 lbs. Mor/ryde rep. steered me to the 11,501 to 14,000 rating.
Happy Camper!

RE: 75 Speed Limit - How Fast

I keep it at 60mph. When I'm camping there is no need to be in a hurry.I can certainly see your point, but I'd rather get to where I'm going and sit down and relax, rather than spend that same amount of time still traveling.
I've done 800 miles per day on the interstate several times...difference between 60 and 70 is saving almost 2 hours of driving time. Obliviously, a short trip it's not much difference.

RE: Peak Blue Platinum DEF

.....Law says
It is not appropriate to leave the concentration percentage (or identity of the ingredient(s)) blank in Section 3 of the SDS. Where a trade secret is claimed in accordance with § 1910.1200(i), a statement that the specific chemical identity and/or exact percentage (concentration) of composition has been withheld as a trade secret is required in Section 3 of the SDS. See 1910.1200(i)(1)(iii).
so if there are "trade secret" ingredients a statement must be made. and the SDS for this"platinum DEF" contains no such statement.
therefore ALL indgredients must be listed, and all they list are urea and water.
So, curiosity got the best of me and I emailed Peak directly and asked them. Below is the response:
Please note that the chemicals used in the additive package in Blue DEF Platinum are proprietary.
In addition, while Safety Data Sheets often list most of the chemical constituents that make up a particular product. They are not intended to be a comprehensive list of ingredients.
Only the hazardous ingredients that are present above certain thresholds are required to be listed.
Sincerely,
PEAK Technical Product Support
So they are stating they aren't required to list the proprietary products in the SDS.
KJ
So my statement was correct :)

RE: Need New TV

if you want to use the same bracket...you need to make sure it is capable and the location of the screws will match. I changed one TV and it ended up being higher than the one it replaced...still worked...but I would verfiy.

RE: Peak Blue Platinum DEF

Here's a video on this new DEF. Fast forward to 8:44 for some better details on the product. They cleared up a couple of questions and that this product will not reduce existing build up and the shelf life is the same as the current Blue DEF.
Link
Thanks for the link. The project leader called it an 'additive package'. I have a hard time believing that since the SDS for this product has NO difference from the old product. Again, this is NOT POSSIBLE because any chemical in the mixture it must be shown on the SDS. They only claim 33% Urea and 67% water on the SDS which means there is nothing else.
KJ
Items that are trade secretes can be withheld

RE: Peak Blue Platinum DEF

Welcome aboard our flight to Denver today.
Accounting has determined Aeroshell Turbine 560 oil is marketing hype and flim flam so today we are operating our Rolls Royce engines on Walmart 10w30...
Is that supposed to be funny?
I thought it was :) I prefer Mobil 254 turbine oil.

RE: 2016 RAM CTD Diff Oil Change Question RE Gasket

But you won’t be able to have a look at the ring and pinion and clean the magnet. Not good IMHO.
you'll have the magnet/plug out to add fluid...so yes you can clean the magnet.

RE: 75 Speed Limit - How Fast

I will do 70 mph when legal... because:
1. I have plenty of truck for my 12,000 lbs. trailer
2. Speed rating of tires are good ....Goodyear Endurance
3. Disk brakes on trailer for superior stopping performance
4. weather/traffic conditions permit...obviously

RE: 6 gallon hot water heater only delivers 4 gallons

You are saying that you measured 4 gallons of hot water before it gets cold?
That sounds normal to me...you are putting in cold water as you take water out...so now you have just put in 4 gallons of cold water mixed with 2 gallons of hot.
