RE: Potentially dangerous mistake in March RV Magazine
“Interestingly, the magazine does not make that very easy. I searched all over for a "contact us" type link and found none”
Difficult for most publications! They don’t want to hear from readers.
RE: Some Towing Math and Questions
Possibly you won’t load 1600 pounds of stuff but 1200 is likely. Tooo close to the TT’s max for me. I want a full freshwater tank, big batteries and plenty of propane. I don’t want to leave the bicycles at home nor the BBQ etc.
RE: Mold in Storage Area
Tackle the mold issue quickly. Anticipate mold inside the walls and under the floor. If fixable, it will be expensive and time consuming.
RE: Solar Battery Charge Issue
Marine batteries are a compromise between true deep cycle batteries and starting batteries. Barely fair at both jobs...long slow discharges running RV lights, TVs etc...and short high energy for starting engines, and good at neither. Replace them with true deep cycle batteries
RE: Six-Pac D650 - Truck power hook up and adding solar...
“2) I'd like to add a small solar panel to keep the camper battery charged...”
The size of the solar system should be determined on your daily 12 volt use and the amp hours in your battery or batteries. Minimum one solar watt per battery amp hour.
RE: 3rd Issue of RV Magazine
“Getting it right” involves spending much of the advertising revenue on editorial content. He’s gotta pay for printing and mailing too. The ad revenue isn’t sufficient and IMO it won’t get significantly better. It isn’t Marcus’ fault the world has changed.
RE: The Horrible RV Magazine
Economically it is probably the best they can do. Also geared to those that are buying new RVs and outfitting them...not us experienced people who have RVs and all the stuff.
You don't see Chevrolet telling me how to fix stuff on my 1500. They want me to bring it in to a dealer for repair. Camping World repairs RVs.
RE: The Horrible RV Magazine
Your first post I see. You aren't going to see major changes. Newspapers and magazines are all in serious trouble. They just don't make economic sense or they breakeven. No one is in business to lose money or breakeven. How much do you buy online for less than stores can charge?
