RE: Travel When Restrictions lifted

First trip is supposed to be May 7th about 30 miles from home. The idea was to go to a State Park to see if we thought of everything. However our Governor decided as of May 5th that camping was not going to be allowed. Day use is ok for the park. I'm having trouble understanding how the two of us in a camping spot would be a problem with the virus when hordes of people will be at the beach and boat launch for opening day fishing. I guess this is why I don't make the big bucks.

Batteries - simple question

Have you found the no maintenance (12 volt) batteries worth the price that you pay extra for them? Our RV shop doesn't even carry them, but they came on our 2011 trailer and probably are due to be replaced. I would have to go to a special battery store to get them.

RE: Anyone use rv share?

Never, ever would I rent my RV out again. There was a lot of damage which wasn't all caught at the end.

RE: Space Heater

We use the overhead AC with the heater unit added. It warms our 22' trailer just fine.

RE: Extended Warrantee?

I had our trailer inspected by myself, friends and an independent RV person. That will be the best warranty you can buy. So far, in 8 years we have had one small part (valve) go defective in the stove. You may use a extended warranty, but for me I didn't and came out ahead. I started reading the exclusions in the small print and decided against it.

RE: Looking to sell - any advice?

We lived in a large house and also later bought a cabin. When we became empty nesters we decided to move permanently to the cabin and sold the large house. In the meantime we never forgot camping. It doesn't have to be either or. The minute you buy a cabin, guaranteed you will miss camping.

RE: Creative ways to house Wally in Trailer

I have the old Dish system. I have a stand alone receiver that I use for our bedroom at home and take it with me in the trailer with my tailgater. I pay $7 for that and $15 for my DVR at home. Why do I need to change to the hopper?

Roof bubbling

A friend has a brand new rv. The roof is bubbling and getting worse. The dealer (Poulsbo RV) says it isn't bad enough to put in a warranty claim. The friend has 3 months left on her warranty. What do you think?
