RE: EU2000i starts, then imediately quits..

Sounds like your choke is on. When it tries to fire are you opening choke or is it self regulating? Sounds like a flooding situation. Actually starting fluid is very hard on these engines. You can crack pistons and rings. If it doesn’t fire on gasoline fumes there is no reason to use ether. I’d say either flooding or cylinder pressure is low. And you should have a strong blue spark at the spark plug, or enough to decapacitate you for a few seconds if you hold on to the wire.

RE: EU2000i starts, then imediately quits..

After you pull the spark plug put your finger over the hole and pull the starter rope, it should blow your finger off the hole. If it does that, you know how to check for spark........:) If good so far, your fueling is the problem. Sometimes those motors will sit and the carbon for some reason will come loose and foul the valves and the valves won't close.

RE: Refrigerator Interior fan ?

I had a few old tower computers laying around. I pulled the fans out of those and put two behind the fride and one inside on a switch connected to the 12v light wire. Works wonderful and cost nothing. Those computer fans work well, and cheap.

RE: 2020 F250XL 6.2 V8

Don't be afraid of the gasser. It has it's benefits also. Compare horsepower to horsepower, that is what you use. The 3.73 to 4.10 is going to be noticed at highway speed. The newer transmissions have so many gears and are engineered so well though that the difference is not going to be great, 1:1 tranny ratio about 400 rpm's, but if you're pulling the gasser will be higher rpm so as to be in the higher hp part of the power band. Diesel's make their horsepower lower in the rpm range. I'd hope the diesel is worth more at resale, they cost around $10k additional. I pulled a gooseneck trailer loaded with almost 14k # and a GMC 1 ton SRW and the 6.0 gasser and moved down the road at 70 mph easy, though it wasn't in 6th gear, but 5th.

RE: More Upper SL ?’s

I don't get flashed as much for hi beams. I didn't put to many miles on without them so hard to tell, but, I feel like I have more control when cornering. Did raising the rear change the weight on the front axle? Thx. You have to physically move the weight to make a change on front to rear and side to side corner weights. You can change the cross percentage by jacking corners but you don't want to do that;).

RE: Electric Bikes???

I have a few bikes, a trike, a mtb. And bought a ebike Specialized Vado 5.0 about 2 mos. ago. Now have over 800 miles on it. It is a fantastic tool. You get what you pay for, no way around it, so have to decide what you want and do it. Depreciation on bikes is a bite. I frequent electricbikereview and there is a lot of help and info over there. Good luck.

RE: Northern Lite 10-2 maiden voyage

Make sure your bed is perfectly flat. Any crown will cause camper movement. I say normal for propane useage.

RE: ATC Aluminum Trailer Company forum/information

We've had some discussion over in the Toy Hauler forum and a couple owners. You can search for 'atc' on here but that also result in any word with 'atc' in it too. Member hvac owns at ATC so you might go through his posts for info about them. I think they are still seen as mostly a cargo trailer operation, and thus a niche market group, not enough rv style owners to support a dedicated forum. Thanks. I've read some of the posts, personally looking at the gooseneck toyhauler version. How it is working for the owners, etc. Lot of money involved in one of these purchases. Don't see anybody selling any used, wondering how much the depreciation is going to be.

ATC Aluminum Trailer Company forum/information

Hello, is there an ATC forum or chat area somewhere other than the facebook site? One on iRV2 but it looks pretty dead. Someone has to be buying these and the chatter and information comes forth somewhere.

RE: Tire care. Park on wood?

Park my trailer tires on old roofing shingles, keeps them out of dirt. Don't think concrete matters.

RE: RV Market

Interesting, maybe it is a bank deal also. I see the local state campground is doing pretty good business.

RV Market

Hello everyone. Curious how the RV buy/sell market is treating everyone. I've had a slide in on the market longer than I thought would happen, with very little to no interest. Notice the number count on RVTrader is down compared to what it usually does this time of year so maybe people are not attempting to sell, with no buyers. Seems everything might be froze up!

RE: Alternate keyboard for IiPone

I went from iphone 6+ to iphone 11 pro. Didn't get the pro max which would have had the same size keyboard as the 6+. I find the just slightly smaller keyboard is a pita. Google has an app that has different keyboards available. The one I chose has just slightly larger keyboard. Helps a little. Maybe there is another keyboard available you prefer.

Solar Panel 12V Design and Safety Considerations

Found this forum a while back. Lots of good information if one is willing to do some ciphering. Here is a link that is kind of introductory and gives some general info. Enjoy. https://www.solarpaneltalk.com/forum/off-grid-solar/12v-solar-for-rv-or-camping-etc/21436-12-volt-design-and-safety-considerations

RE: trailer wax

Most of the stuff mentioned is petroleum based or has some petroleum in it. Could be hard on stickers or anything else not friendly to petroleum products, i.e. sealants. For fiberglass, boat people have a pretty good selection. I use McLube Hullkote. Citrus based and easy wipe on, wipe off. It is slick so be careful working around on top. Expensive but good and fast. I use spray bottle of water on surface to thin it out some. One bottle will do two applications on a slide in truck camper easily, maybe three.

RE: Pick up truck remembrance !

16.5 split rims. nonsynchronized transmission gears. You could stand on the hood or cab. AM radios. Really miss the 'wings'.
