RE: Black Eye

Many drivers have no idea what mirrors are for, thus have no idea of what's behind them.

RE: hydro or electric leveling

We're on our third unit with the Lippert Level-Up Hydraulic system and combined we've covered 100K miles with very little issue. Traveled to the Canadian Maritime with Friends and their brand new Jayco Pinnacle and they had nothing but problems, including one front landing gear ripping loose from the frame. They now have a unit with the Level-Up and no problems.

RE: Navigation options

OK, someone tell me which Internet Map base you use that can let you input your RV's height into so it won't route under a low overpass??? My Garmin allows me to input height, weight, and length to keep me off of roads I shouldn't be on. After all this is an RV Forum.

RE: Spouse left behind after death at a Campsite, what to do?

There are two major Medical Emergency groups: MASA and SkyMed. GoodSam offers a similar plan but don't think it any where close to either. Their moto is "We'll get you home". In the case of RVers they will hire a bonded transporter to get your rig home, and in the case of a death will make all the arrangements for transportation of the body. Neither are cheap, but gives you peace of mind if and when that event occurs.

RE: 5er accidents

Yes, but to do it right it must have a complete delete, so it pours out the Black as Coal Smoke when goosed.

RE: Chasing No left turn Signal on Trailer With Ram Truck

GM has fuses for Right and Left Trailer in the fuse block under the hood.

RE: Broke my hitch pin today

That's the reason they make clamps like Quiet Hitch. Tightens things up and stops the slop.

RE: Anyone have to send fiver back to mfg for major repair?

She has already posted on the Montana Forum. She has owned it since early June and already spent 5 weeks with the dealer with little help.

RE: 5er accidents

I'm not creating a "Rolling Road Block", doing 65 because the other traffic never use the right lane and are running 10 to 20 over the speed limit at least.

RE: "Use Both Lanes Until Merge Point"

No matter the type of merge, it would all go much smoother if drivers would just alternate one vehicle from each lane, BUT that doesn't happen vehicles from one lane will be bumper to bumper and won't let any from the other lane until there is a big enough break then the lane moves and the other doesn't.

RE: to many gps`s

All I can say is "You've been really lucky". There are several roads near our Home Basse here in Western New York with low overpasses and Google always try to route me via them since it's the most direct route.

RE: to many gps`s

If you're pulling a pop-up or small TT you're fine with Google Maps, but if you're %er is 43' long, 13'6" tall and weighs close to 20K don't even think of following Google Maps or you'll end up in big trouble.

RE: Jeep Grand Cherokee W/Towing Package IV

Be aware that many units leave the Factory well above those brochure dry weights. So you could end up with a unit a few hundred pounds heavier, then once you add batteries, propane, pots, pans, dishes and other day to day items could easily go over your max towing capacity.

RE: to many gps`s

I tried a Rand a couple of years ago, once I put on my prescription sunglasses I couldn't see the screen. Was trying to use it on the New York State Thruway and it suddenly gives the message "Unknown Road" and shut down. Returned it and bought a Garmin with a built in Dash Cam. Allows input of height; weight, and length of unit.

RE: GMC Navigation system question

You can buy Thumb Drive almost everywhere, may not be high quality but still work.

RE: New Reflection 150 260RD - Running fridge while on the road

When we had aTT and Gas TV we always turned the fridge off while refueling. Never know when some idiot might overfill and splash gas around, why take the chance. Once we moved up to Diesel and started fueling in the Truck Lanes don't worry about it any more.
