RE: Retirement and health care

Some of the Medicare Advantage Plans do cover Diabetes supplies. You just have to search for a plan that is right for you.

RE: Montana LLC to save on sales tax

Yes things have changed, many States have become aware and are going after the cheats. Plus you end up putting yourself the the three state conflict, where you have driver's license from one state, registration in another, and you're now in a third state. They told us in the Military to avoid that issue.

RE: Two inverters for 50 amp service

Simple, install a good EMS that has a remote display of both legs L1 & L2. I have the Progressive Hardwired EMS and know exactly what the voltage and current are on each leg.

RE: This net is dying!

There are just too many on here that are quick to blast anyone who post something they don't agree with. We've been RVing/Camping since the mid 70s, grew-up on a Farm where when something broke you fixed it. Have carried that thru with RVs, so I've seen and done that, but I've pretty much given up posting here because to the jerks that seem to hang out here just waiting to blast others. Nuff said

RE: Connect Bluetooth Headphones to TV

I agree with Dutch, but I don't actually connect to the TV as I use the optical output of our DirecTV Receiver because the optical output of the TV is connected to the Sound Bar, which I just turn off.

RE: Connect Bluetooth Headphones to TV

I use a small unit connected to the Optical output and converts it to Blue Tooth to work with my Hearing Aides. Seems would be very similar to work with Blue Tooth Head Phones.

RE: GMC Sierra EV Denali

Just read on a GM Brief that all planned build are spoken for, so you're all out of luck until the next build.

RE: Theft at a State park.......

The question I have to ask: Are you 100% sure it was there when you arrived?? In our travels we have passed a few on the side of the road, which was probably a surprise to the owner when they went to get it.

RE: Quality control?

I think that "Higher End" is fast approaching $200K

RE: heavier trailer tires and fuel economy

All I can say is: I towed a 24' TT. a 30' TT and a 35' Fifthwheel with the same truck, 2005 3500 Duramax Dually and couldn't see enough difference in mileage to really tell if there was any.

RE: DMV issues

Here's what I have done to get around the PMB issues, we use the Good Sam/PassPort America system in Crestview, so our address is: 5753 Hwy 85N Suite xxxx Crestview, FL 32536 By using Suite with your box number makes it good to go for most cases.

RE: Not enough room

I've had a Diesel since 2005 and have yet to find a nozzle that wouldn't fit. Now if you have a Diesel Passenger Car, that's a different story.

RE: The impact of Ian...

Many of the Florida Parks are booked in the Spring for the coming Winter season. The park we stay at, just about all the sites are booked in February for a November arrival. And some of us can't just stay home because our home is where we park it.

RE: Not enough room

Because we have a Dually pulling 20K of 43' Fifth Wheel, only fuel up at the Truck Pumps. In our TT days got stuck in a few Gas stations, between close pumps and cars parked everywhere. You can use Google Maps and zoom into Street view on some, but that means planning ahead, not just stopping when low on fuel.

RE: GS extended warranty

We're self insured. Opened a saving account and put in a few thousand dollars. If we need something major, go on-line transfer money from the savings into the checking and write the check. Well never be turned down.

RE: Roof tear along edge ...

I did the same, caught a branch leaving the house, right at the bend. Used 4" eternabond tape right down to the little rain gutter. Done a number of years and many miles ago and still holding tight. That stuff is just about impossible to remove once secured in place. I'd remove the Dicor as best as you could and cover the entire area with eternabond tape and call it a day.

RE: The impact of Ian...

We winter in South Central Florida in Sebring. Min damage there, but we had three weeks planned on Sanibel Island for October, well that won't happen as there's no way to get there, and won't be for a while.

RE: This is our RV electric future. It's the future man!

Calif is looking to expand to eliminate Diesel Semis by 2040. Still in the writing stage, but don't say never with them.

RE: Repaired Spring Hanger Brackets: Now What?

I think you'll be very happy with the MOR/Ryde IS upgrade. I try to tell people that yes it's an expensive update, but look at all the money and down time spent on all the different "Band Aide Fixes". Bite the bullet once and be done with it.

RE: Good Sam membership and Pilot/Flying J RV fuel card

I guess if you pulled in to get Fuel and your card didn't work, you'd have your answer. I've been using the TSD Fuel Card for the past few years and haven't visited a Pilot or Flying J.
