RE: DEF fluid

Or buy the Walmart Brand for $9 to $12 for 2 1/2 Gal. Been using it since 2005 in three different trucks and no issues. 2005? Mmmmkay Yep my boo boo, have had a Diesel since 2005, but didn't need DEF until I upgraded to a 2011. Brain Fart.

RE: directv dish

I have to assume that your dish LNB is looking for transponders that are no longer functional. I would look into replacing just the LNB for a new one to get the 101, 99, & 103 transponders where all the current channels are. Just a note: DirecTV still have many no HD channels and still carry the SD channels or those that are HD.

RE: Tires- Tires - Tires

I'm sure I will get dinged for asking but maybe overinflation if the tires are the ones FTG found? The weights I saw for that trailer seem light, 14,000 base weight and 2300 hitch. I would think it would be more than that. Those 4 tires would provide 19,220 lbs capacity at 125 psi. I have no idea what you we looking at as our unit has a gross of 17999 and that's only because of the 18K pin box it came with. We've upgraded suspension and king box and are now close to 20K loaded for Full Time, and the tires are rated for 125 cold.

RE: Flying J RV discount Card

The GS Pilot/Flying J rewards is a Credit Card, no need to add your credit card. Pretty sure you need to be a active GS Member. The discount amounts listed are for Life GS Members with a lesser amount for yearly members.

RE: Tires- Tires - Tires

I'll be the Wet Blanket here: This morning on I90 approx 25 miles East of Cleveland doing 65, tire temps all norm and within a couple of degrees of each other, Pressure 135 (set cold @ 125) again all four within a couple of pounds of each other. Tires are 4 years old with 24K miles on them. Left Front BLEW with a Bang, took out the fender skirt and bent up the J-Panel. This is my second Sailun to fail, had one couple of years ago threw off the complete tread, but never lost pressure so don't know when or where it happened.

RE: Ram fuel mileage

I would get that mileage in writing, with the guarantee if you didn't get it they would refund the additional fuel cost. BET their tune would change really quick.

RE: Question on parking lot or walmart camping

The few times we've used Wally World we ended up spending more money in the Store that it would have cost to stay at a Camp Ground with full hook-ups.

RE: Insurance and tandem towing

I'd be checking into other companies if that's the case.

RE: Insurance and tandem towing

Go with three policies, Truck, 5er, and Boat. I don't tow anything behind our 5er, but it's worth to much to just rely on the truck policy to cover it, so it has it's own policy with full replacement cover for the first 7 years and a set value after.

RE: Rocket exhaust from diesel regen

If you have a 5th Wheel and Short Bed (now called Standard) and the exhaust doesn't have enough angle to get it away from the front corner, yes you can have some issues. Have seen some report on the Redwood Forum of issues.

RE: Counties in Florida that allow full-time on own property?

Just went thru that this past season. Some will tell you that you can do, as long as no one complains. Highlands County has lots of zoning rules, but no one enforces them, but we didn't want to take the chance of getting kicked out mid-snowbird season with no place to go. So booked another year in the park we've been in for 10 years now.

RE: Sailun 637

It's not the load weight, it's those side stresses. Had a friend that didn't like the hard ride of his car running the normal 35 Lbs Radials, lowered the pressure to give a softer ride. When into a sweeping exit ramp, rolled the tire right off the rim, rim dug into the pavement and he rolled his car. I'm just offering a suggestion on being careful to not go to low. Some have suggested running a 110 PSI tire as low as 70 PSI.

RE: Sailun 637

Just something to remember with higher pressure tires. That pressure is there to keep the tire bead sealed to the rim, if you run too low of pressure you run the risk of rolling the tire off the rim when in a tight turn scrubbing the time on the pavement. If you've ever looked at the tires when someone is jack knifing into a site, you would know what I'm talking about, how distorted they become.

RE: Black Tank Treatments - Yay or Nay?

OK, I know a Guy who lives on a hill. For some reason hit Septic is on the high side of the house, while his Well is on the low side. Jokes that he simply recycles his water. Water isn't being destroyed, it's just recycled. Water soaks into the ground an into the aquafers which we pump out of, but when finished we return it, it doesn't get lost anywhere.
