RE: New Border Regulations

Snowbirds who left the country will have to adhere to the border protocols on return. Its common sense based on science. We dont want a third wave delivered to Canada because some snowbirds who are travelling during a pandemic dont wish to be inconvenienced.

RE: New Border Regulations

Ed is correct. Instead of concentrating on getting more vaccine these rules are just a distraction so Trudeau will look like a tuff guy. There is absolutely no evidence that Snowbirds are bringing illness to Canadians. Also flight crews are exempt. Now Blair and King Justin want to cause havoc by testing truck drivers. We have already bankrupted the airlines now he will kill cross border trucking and thousands of manufacturing jobs. It is only getting worse. The border regulations are based on science..... what sources are your comments based on?

What seems to be overlooked is the fact that not one vaccinated individual has ended up in the hospital with moderately severe to severe COVID-19 symptoms. So called "failures" to provide protection consist of asymptomatic testing positive for the virus or very mild COVID-19 symptoms. The above was partially excerpted from Johns Hopkins. "What seems to be overlooked" are my words Thats great news!

RE: New Border Regulations

So the snowbirds who cleverly skirted the closed border will be inconvenienced on their way home? Boohoo! says one who stayed home:)

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced a plan to produce millions of COVID-19 shots at a National Research Council-owned plant in Montreal this year, securing a domestic supply of vaccines as the global market contends with delivery delays and protectionist measures. Canada's inability to produce COVID-19 vaccines at home has been raising fears that the country is at the mercy of foreign governments who could at any time slam the doors shut to vaccine exports until their own people are vaccinated

Monaramblee, Please define "soon" The end of the year....maybe "soon" was an overstatement but i did say it was late in the game and would probably help with annual shots if necessary.

The Canadian made vacines will be a bit late to the party but will come in handy if we need the vacine annually. It was my understanding that Canada does not have the ability to manufacture a vaccine at the present time and must rely on other countries for the vaccine. That is currently correct but the Canadian government announced that they will be manufacturing vacines soon.

RE: Myrtle Beach Suggestions

It doesnt shock me that there is atleast one vacancy as our motorhome sits on the wrong side of a closed border. :(

How do the buffets work at the resorts in Mexico? Same as usual or do they serve the food now?

RE: New Border Regulations

Here we have a global pandemic, a crashing economy, social isolation, and restrictive government policies: All of these can cause feelings of extreme anxiety, powerlessness, and stress, which in turn encourage conspiracy beliefs.

RE: Educate me on 12 volt batteries

I switched from 2 six volt batteries to one 12 volt and i am happy with the results. We dont boondock much and if we do boondock its just for one night and i run the generator. One 12 volt is much cheaper to purchase and there are less connections to worry about. So my opinion is if you dont boon dock much one 12 volt does the job.

RE: Federal Mask mandate

There is so little confirmed information on both sides that I don't understand how this can be effective argued either way. Several countries with zero mask mandate have lower infection rates. The asymptomatic transmission has failed to be proven. The original two week incubation time has proved to be wrong. The fact that the numbers changed after the election is very telling. Matt Heres an effective argument. Wearing a mask MAY save lives..... NOT wearing a mask MAY kill people.

RE: Federal Mask mandate

I've seen people who are protesting their right not to wear a mask as their first protest in their lives. Starving children, homelessness, people being tortured nope no word about those......mask mandate and now the line gets drawn.... strange priorities...Didn't know there was a hierarchy of protests that needed to be completed in a specific order before you could be considered a valid protester. So what is the official ranking between starving children, homelessness and people being tortured? Seems kind of callous to not be able to protest about starving children if you haven't completed your protests about torture and homelessness. Where do you think your right to walk around maskless and infect others ranks?. Of all the issues in life this is the one you choose? A slight inconvenience to keep others safe... its sad pathetic and selfish.

I think someone missed the point and the comma after homelessness.

RE: Am I overloaded?

The weight guidelines are not an exact science because there are many more towing factors involved. For example the height and shape of the trailer. How heavy your foot is on the throttle, how good the hitch and the hitch setup are.
