RE: Marcus being sued.

No worries! The Good Sam Doesn’t Care Team will get in touch with the gentleman who filed the suit and do their thing. If they provide their usual level of service, Marcus is ... (fill in the blank).

RE: A Very Unsatisfactory Roadside Assistance Experience

Hmm... Has anyone seen this before? 1. Terrible customer experience 2. Good Sam Lip Service Team reaches out 3. Thread locked “due to inactivity” or more likely Thread deleted One more step to go!

RE: New desktop computer - msn, norton etc

Go to Symantic site and get the Norton removal tool. It removes program and all the left overs. Others won't. Art. If you want to completely get Norton off your system, this is the best solution.

RE: Yellowstone info

Just an FYI. The Fishing Bridge RV Park will be closed in 2019 for improvements. The employee I talked with said they are going to completely redo the entire campground and will be putting in some pull through sites. For those who are going to Yellowstone in 2019, I would suggest getting your reservations in early.

RE: Wire Nuts (factory) vs splice

If everything is working, why mess with it? It’s a preventative thing. For example, we had our dog fixed even though everything was working fine.

RE: Warning message on my phone

I still get the error through the Good Sam portal. The rv.net portal is working fine.

RE: Allstays app maps

If you look up the Allstays app in the App Store and click on Version History, you can see the changes for each update. They should also have an email address so you could contact the developer.

RE: CW hitch install?

That’s probably a better tow vehicle than some I’ve seen. Caprice Classic station wagon from the early 80’s?

RE: Lifting Fifth Wheel Hitch

I installed a hoist on my garage ceiling. Once the hitch is lifted out of the bed, I lower it onto a furniture dolly and roll it away. The hoist has also come in handy for working on my mower. I lift one side which then makes removing the blade for sharpening and oil changes much easier.

RE: Idiot gets 130 days in jail for harrassing a bison

I all hope the National Parks added his name to the "Do Not Allow This idiot into any of our Parks List" If the Parks banned all the people that did stupid things during their stay, there would be no overcrowding. There is mildly stupid, which we can probably all lay claim to at one point or another; and then there is willfully criminally negligent which this, ah (PA), fellow, was guilty of. And in multiple parks. I didn’t phrase that very well. The man was well beyond the point of stupidity. Is it bad that every time I see the video, I find myself hoping that the bison will finally get him?

RE: Heading to Kansas from Ny

Martha62 wants a comparison of the road conditions on the routes (78 - 70 vs 80 - 70) through Pennsylvania and Ohio. She won’t be anywhere near Chicago.

RE: New Deer Deflector

Nice looking add-on! Looks like it cost more than a few bucks. Smart buy as repairs from hitting a deer can be expensive, requiring a lot of doe.

RE: Yellowstone with an older Tow Vehicle...Would you?

We had a 2005 Suburban 2500 with an 8.1. We took it out west multiple times. You won’t have any problems. The only negative will be the high rpm’s that it takes to power up the mountains. The noise can wear on you after awhile.

RE: Best route from Northern IL to Youngstown, NY

Southern Ontario is my preference. Besides being faster, minimal tolls and flatter terrain.

RE: I-65 thru Louisville, Ky. ???

Just out of curiosity, what kind of shape is I-65 in Indiana? The last time I went through there it needed some work.

RE: Do diesels make financial sense?

And I didn’t feel the need to warm my truck up on an 80 degree morning either! You aren’t the only one that finds this annoying. On a recent trip the guy in the next spot let his truck run for 15-20 minutes before he pulled out. The stink bothered me more than the noise. There was no need for it. Thoughtless, rude... pick your adjective.

RE: Short bed or not?

So my main question: Are there scale drawings of truck beds and 5ver noses? With all the possible combinations it seems logical that accurate measurements would be mandatory. Not that I’ve ever seen. I would go to the Grand Design Owners Forum and ask owners of the model in which you are interested if they have had any problems.
