RE: Demco Glide RIde pinbox discontinued

Where did the stress cracks developed and what was the GVWR of your 5er?

RE: Saw my first 2020 GMC HD camping this weekend

All the 20's have the hood scoop regardless of engine. Functional on the oil burner, cosmetic on the gas. Thats too bad. Should have left it off the gasser if thats the case.

RE: Replacing Tires on my GMC

I would want to find out why I burnt through those tires so quick. What PSI do you run? How much of those miles are towing? Are ya a lead foot?

RE: Fresh water life, how long?

Black tanks that do not allow light will inhibit any kind of growth. Clear/white tanks will allow growth. OP should not be in any way concerned about a 5 day boondock trip.

RE: Happijac wont go up

It serves its purpose. Its a small white box with a couple of plugs going into it and was easy to locate and triubleshoot from that location. Was reading some other threads on this topic and people were having a hard time locating the box on their trailers

RE: Happijac wont go up

Looks like I found the problem. Located the circuit board that was velcroed to the top of the motor. Jiggled the upper limit switch did the trick.

Happijac wont go up

Hoping someone else has ran into this. I’ve been having an issue where sometimes the bed wont retract up. I hit the switch and nothing. If I fiddle around with the switch for a bit and lower it a few times then quickly go back up I have always been able to get it to work. Now I’m camped with the bed all the way down and have been fiddling with the switch for a while and nothing. I pulled the switch from the panel and its unlike any switch I have ever seen before. Looks like a single phone jack plug with no 12v going through it. Of course all the paperwork on it is sitting at home. Any ideas?

RE: Banks Derringer for 6.7L Powerstroke

While it may not leave a footprint in the ECM, manufacturers can still see increased TQ numbers recorded by the TCM.

RE: Tripod stabilizer

Only ones that like em havent used a good chassis stabilizer like Steadyfast or JT Strongarm

RE: Solar Panel

Never heard of a controller on the panel either. Doesnt really make sense. You want the comtroller inside the RV so you can monitor the vitals

RE: Tires

LT tires generally have more flexible sidewalls than trailer tires. Also, on an LT, check the load rating. Ken ^^THIS^^ is so UNTRUE and what the ST tire industry has brainwashed consumers with. When I had STs pulled off my 5th and replaced with Bridgestone Duravis R250s the sidewalls on them is easily 2x them crappy China Bombs. There is absolutey no comparison between these tires. Dont believe everything you read or hear. See for yourself...

RE: Expedition w/Toy Hauler and 2 SeaDoo's

Dont listen to the wife. Motorhome is without a doubt the best option. Trying to load/unload PWCs of that size from a Toyhauler will be a huge hassle and dangerous IMO. Double tow is no better. Sometimes better to be the man of the house and over rule the wifey. This would be a good example.

Both work well. Flip a coin.

RE: wheel stabilizer

I find them unnecessary if you use a good chassis stabilizer like Steadyfast or JT Strongarm. Been very happy with my Steadyfast stabilizer.

RE: Durable TH?

You will need a trailer like that to load a Jeep in however they are not the best for “offroad” use as they typically sit much lower.

RE: Dual Motor Landing Gear

I have the Bulldog and couldn't be happier with it. The old one motor system and our heavy toyhauler was awful, you basically had to chalk the legs to see if they were moving, and it sounded like it was about to fail. And then it did. The Bulldog system was relatively easy to install, our main issue was with the generator on one side making access to the leg on that side a bit of a pain. Be sure to check the distances between the leg stops on the trailer to make sure it will fit your trailer. They aren't cheap, but the alternative was to throw good money after bad. Due to the weight of our trailer we had to set the motor to high torque rather than high speed, so it's still not fast, but at least you can see it move. And super, super never sounds like it's struggling in the least. And that's with our 15,000 lb. toyhauler. I recommend it highly as a replacement set of legs. So how did you deal with the leg next to the genny?

RE: Dual Motor Landing Gear

Have heard good things about Bully. I also have a slow single motor and it sux with the Andersen. I want to upgrade but getting the leg changed out on the curb side looks to be a real PITA. Either have to pull the genny or find someone small enough to slide up and over the generator box.
