RE: Shearing the sheep

The will be SOME sort of tanking happening after the election. It doesn't matter who wins. If current president wins he will shuffle his cabinet and stock market gets jitters. If new president comes in, new cabinet gets put in too and stock market gets jitters. Seen it happen after every election since I started voting back in '76.

RE: What to make of this......

Thanks for the responses. They are much appreciated. When I asked why she did that, thinking these dogs don't do anything like that without a command, she said, ''I did not know you were outside''. I wonder about this since she has been awkward to deal with and waited too long to call the dog off. You folks are my friends.... Thank you. BTW, the pay comes right along at payment times, no problem there. You are working on her property which means until the job is finished, she should ALWAYS assume you or your subs are on site. What kind of place is this that she just lets the dogs run loose??

RE: Flying Floating Flooring

If you are worried about the slide scraping the floor try a few of those "slide slickers" that you put down to keep the bottom of the slide from dragging on the floor.

RE: Champion generator

I have a bigger 9700 watt Champion and except for the fact it's noisy, it has been great. Bought it right when SuperStorm Sandy hit. Every year power goes out at least for 4 or 5 days and it starts first time.

RE: Roof Care and Maintenance suggestions (updated w/photos)

I've done two of my rv roofs with Henry. Previous fiver with 287 and it held up great even in the Phx area for 5 yrs before I sold it. Best things... It stayed very white, had texture-not so slippery, and NO more streaks on the sides. I did my current fiver last year with 587. It's more reflective than 287 and I can tell the difference, big time! We've camped in hot areas this year, set the t stat on 77 and the one 15k AC cools to set point very easily and it cycles nicely. I also sealed the AC return plenum and wrapped it with FG last year but I think the Henry 587 made the most improvement. I pressure washed the loose stuff off the rubber, hand scrubbed with scotch brite pad/tsp solution for a great prep for the coating w/o needing any primer. Then fixed all caulk with dicor NON leveling and seams with eterna bond and then two heavy coats of 587. The Henry 887 is all silicone and even more reflective so it's probably worth the extra bucks. Craig I'll take a recoated roof over the original chalky rubber any day, any time! Home Depot had the 587 for $89 for the 5gal. However somebody asked in their questions section about using it and the Henry rep answered that he recommended Henry 887 for wet areas. Now maybe I'm thinking of using the 887.

RE: Roof Care and Maintenance suggestions (updated w/photos)

NJRVer, Please let us know how it works out for you. Barney Will do, but I found out the top rubber sweep weatherstrip on my slide somehow did not flip back into position about 1 foot from one end. With all the shutdowns I had not even opened the camper up this year until now. It ended up letting the water run down the wall and onto the floor. Now I have a big floor replacement job ahead.

RE: Roof Care and Maintenance suggestions (updated w/photos)

Time for some Henry's 887 silicon roof coating. Look it up. you will be more than happy. I replaced the roof once too. Didn't last at all, 5 years. I will never do that again. Get the Henry's 887 Silicon. Its made for RV'S. I just looked up the Henry's coating. I need to do my roof was dreading having to hang plastic to protect the finish on the walls from the Dicor chemical prep. Looked into the henry that you suggested and no need to clean with any caustic chemical cleaner. Just use a pressure washer. Cost for 5 gal of Henry is about the same as 2 gal of Dicor and 2 qts of Dicor chemical prep. I am ordering the Henry's. Thanks for that tip!

RE: Any KZ Durango Gold owners? If so, a couple questions

From what I have been able to find, Durango is about the only maker that uses actual plywood on their floor vs everybody else using OSB.

RE: DeWalt vs Milwaukee

Makita for professional use. Been using them since 1983. I have NEVER had a Makita tool break. Only time I have to replace them is when new technology comes along.

RE: How to increase water flow AFTER the filters?

How much have you used this set up? If the iron is that bad you could have them blocked already. Time to change them. I have high iron at my well and have a filter to catch the sediment before the water softener. This traps all the **** from blocking up the watersoftener. That filter has to be changed frequently as it blocks up quickly. Another thing nobody mentioned. Is the flow bad out of everything or just the faucets? Check your aerators for sediment clogging them up.

RE: After one day, I am finished.....

The world has changed very slowly over the last 70 years despite the many obvious flaws in our country. For better or worse the kneeling and protests seem to be yanking the blinders off a large amount of people who are finally admitting the realities don't match up to what our Constitution and Bill of Rights actually require. Unfortunately it's causing a large amount of discomfort among vets(and others) that are taking this as a personal affront. The vast sacrifices of vets and many others got us to where we are today and the kneeling is not intended to disparage those sacrifices in any way. I can assure you the easiest thing to do would be to not rile the fans and advertisers, but these athletes and others are in fact risking their careers and income in an effort to better our country. While I know many don't agree with this tactic kneeling is not sitting, wearing headphones, or hiding in the clubhouse during the anthem. It's a gesture in support of the same values that vets fought for, but their enemy(racism and police brutality) can't be beaten on a battlefield. Perhaps changes will gather momentum and the US can come closer to matching the ideals that it was founded upon and the protests and kneeling will no longer be necessary. I'm not a vet but my father, brother, uncles, and nephew(KIA) were. I have supported the USMA - West Point community (NCOs and their kids and retired vets from all branches) through volunteer work for many years. I have lived through race riots, and worked in one of the worst ghettos in the US(near Yankee Stadium) for decades so I have witnessed the suffering and inequity firsthand. Please give the players a chance to make a statement and advance this cause - hopefully someday soon it will be worth the pain it's causing. Well put.

RE: After one day, I am finished.....

Well before this thread gets shut down I will just add this: To all the vets who are outraged, fighting for freedom means fight for others right to freedom of speech. Where is the outrage for the police's desecration of the flag? That is more of an outrage to me than someone else's right to free speech.

RE: 2020 Ram 3500 OEM Rear Air Suspension

I wouldn't see why not, clearly it's got ride height sensors if it can compensate for road camber and hitch squat. What's interesting is that it says it can compensate for "shifting loads" so I bet it's a huge help in controlling side-to-motion on uneven roads with the camper onboard. I was just shopping 2015-2017 Rams and didn't see a single one with air suspension, so either it wasn't available yet or nobody ordered it....would be interested if anyone here on the forum has it on their truck. My 2017 has rear air.

RE: Seen It Before

Deer around here will send one out to the edge of the road and it will just stand there sort of half in the lane. Of course everybody will stop because there is a deer standing on the side of the road. Then you will see maybe 5 or 6 will then come running out of the woods and across the road. When the last one is across, the first one that stood there will then run across and join them. Wife and I always laugh about it because that one deer is like the school crossing guard for them.

RE: Hostess Cup Cake

"A little poison will not kill you!" You might want to stay away from the arsenic, cyanide, and bad tomatoes. Ah yes, everybody should watch that old Cary Grant movie-"Arsenic and Old Lace""Chaaaarrrrrrggge!" lol! When I was a kid I remember going to the corner store and you could buy a pack of Hostess cupcakes for 20 cents. Now if I was really loaded and had a quarter, then I could buy a pack of Hostess Suzy Q's.:D
