RE: The RV Demand Continues

Stopped by a local dealer, maybe 30 units back in the day. He had 4 motorhomes-30' and up,10 travel trailers and 2 5th wheels. All different models. He got them all at a repo auction. Oldest was a 2019. Hmmm. Very interesting info there.

RE: Chinese Pickup towing a lightweight 5ver

Could be just the angle, but that looks like it's squatting quite a bit in the rear, considering the difference in the tires in the wheelwells. No, no, no, don't worry the fiver is "1/2 ton towable" says the Chinese salesman.:)

RE: Beware of RV Parts Country in Kentucky

This didn't by any chance get affected by the tornadoes? I mean all the lines down all over a chunk of the state.

RE: Finally Found a Cold Cereal I Like

I mix spoon size shredded wheat, cheerios and Wheat Bran flakes. Another "mixer" here: I mix spoon size shredded wheat, Uncle Sam Toasted Whole Wheat Berry Flakes, and Familia Swiss Muesli-No Added Sugar.

RE: Ever heard of this?

Thankfully the KC-135's in use near me changed engines long ago. When the base first got them, they had those original engines and they are the noisiest. They use to trim the engines right on the flight line and you couldn't hear somebody standing right next to you inside the building.

RE: Recall of 19/20 Ram Cummins 6.7 diesels

Hmmm, build date on truck was 11/2020. I don't recall the door sticker giving an actual "date" like the 10th or the 8th of November. I will have to double check in the morning.

RE: Memory seats

Memory seats make some sense to me with a couple of drivers. The easy entry/exit thing makes no sense at all, though. What benefit is that? Especially in something like a truck with plenty of space. Seems some are confusing memory with easy entry. Memory is when I set my seat the way I like in my truck and wife sets it they way she likes it. When she drives she pushes "2" and the seat , pedals, etc go to her setting. Then when I drive I push "1" and they all go back to my driving set up. Easy entry is when the seat slides back on it's own after you turn off the vehicle to supposedly make it easy to get in or out. Just a waste of time in my opinion. Wife has it in her Grand Cherokee. I find it annoying.

RE: Residential Refrigerator question

There are brackets on the cabinet frame around the refrigerator and then bungee cords go through the door handles and hook on those brackets.

RE: RVs over 10 years old are valueless

Lie to them about how old your camper is...just like some of them lie to you about being an "RV" Resort...which is only the same RV park as always, just added the word "RESORT" to ad more money for your stay there... Haha! "ain't that the truth":)

RE: 2 zone thermostat

www.microair.net. I just bought their thermostat. The Dometic AC/Heat was a piece of junk.

RE: Oregon rules for pumping gasoline & covid-19

New Jersey was the only place that I recall was backwards enough to not allow one to pump their own gasoline. bumpy Well I welcome "backward" NJ pumping my gas. You won't see the typical losers like in other states that get $5 worth of gas and abandon their car at the pump for the next 1/2 hour to get their junk food groceries for the next week, inside. Gas jockey keeps the pumps clear.

RE: Single Piece Metal Door Frame Conducting Heat

You hit the nail on the head. You need a "thermal break" from outside frame to inside frame. I never heard complaints from anybody before about heat transfer. If this were winter you would have ice on the inside of the frame instead of it being too hot.

RE: Tesla Semi truck unveil & test ride set for Oct 26th !

The Tesla is street legal, handles well, and is fast with 5 people inside an air conditioned cabin. That Mustang is useless for anything other than turning money into smoke. But it also looks way cool. The Tesla looks like a four-door sedan. There's a reason nobody hotrods four-door sedans. Don't forget, it sounds way better too:C

RE: Tesla Semi truck unveil & test ride set for Oct 26th !

But there is some incoming data that considers huge numbers of solar panels themselves may cause issues with local heat retention. This being due to the lower albedo of the solar panels compared to the land without the panels. Square miles of solar panels may not be as "green" as it would outwardly appear. Not nearly the effect of the square miles of black topped cities.

I bought a few things from them. Shipping was a little slow, but I didn't need it in a hurry anyway.

Look into LayZBoy. They have certain models that the backs come off which makes it easy to move.

RE: Broken rear window

I got the frame out, but It sure didn’t want to come out easily! Being the top one it is somehow hooked into the rubber molding above it. The glass shop is charging me $85. to replace the glass. My fear is that I will break it trying to re-install it. I went to the Keystone dealer and they said it is a Kinro window, not Lippert. They didn’t have any service info on it, so I have e-mailed Kinro to see what they recommend. If I do break it, I will put plexi glass in the second time! Wish me luck. Tempered is very tough. Just don’t hit the edge as it may shatter into little cubes. Agree. I am a door contractor and I have taken tempered glass and flung it into the dumpster and it will just bounce around. Laying flat you can stand on it. But just a light TAP with a hammer on the edge....POOF!!!! lol.
