RE: Furrion Instant Hot Water in Cold Weather

Tankless water heaters by design have a limited amount of time to warm water. the heating unit only hold a quart or so of water, so water passing through it is only in the heating coils for about 20 seconds for a faucet discharging less than a gallon a minute. Usually they warm the water about 50 degrees by design at their designed flow rate.
If the incoming water is 70 degrees, then it heats to 120 which is fine, but if the incoming water is 40, then the warmed water only has time to reach 90, which is lukewarm at best.
Another issue is water pressure.
If you read the literature on home tankless, they will say not to have water pressure above a certain limit as it pushes the water through too fast to get hot. They want a pressure reducer installed.
Tankless sounds nice, but I would not buy one if I was going to be in cold weather.

RE: The RV Demand Continues

Stopped by a local dealer, maybe 30 units back in the day. He had 4 motorhomes-30' and up,10 travel trailers and 2 5th wheels. All different models. He got them all at a repo auction. Oldest was a 2019.
Hmmm.
Very interesting info there.

RE: Chinese Pickup towing a lightweight 5ver

Could be just the angle, but that looks like it's squatting quite a bit in the rear, considering the difference in the tires in the wheelwells.
No, no, no, don't worry the fiver is "1/2 ton towable" says the Chinese salesman.:)

RE: Finally Found a Cold Cereal I Like

I mix spoon size shredded wheat, cheerios and Wheat Bran flakes.
Another "mixer" here:
I mix spoon size shredded wheat, Uncle Sam Toasted Whole Wheat Berry Flakes, and Familia Swiss Muesli-No Added Sugar.

RE: Ever heard of this?

Thankfully the KC-135's in use near me changed engines long ago. When the base first got them, they had those original engines and they are the noisiest. They use to trim the engines right on the flight line and you couldn't hear somebody standing right next to you inside the building.

RE: Recall of 19/20 Ram Cummins 6.7 diesels

Hmmm, build date on truck was 11/2020.
I don't recall the door sticker giving an actual "date" like the 10th or the 8th of November.
I will have to double check in the morning.

RE: Memory seats

Memory seats make some sense to me with a couple of drivers. The easy entry/exit thing makes no sense at all, though. What benefit is that? Especially in something like a truck with plenty of space.
Seems some are confusing memory with easy entry.
Memory is when I set my seat the way I like in my truck and wife sets it they way she likes it. When she drives she pushes "2" and the seat , pedals, etc go to her setting. Then when I drive I push "1" and they all go back to my driving set up.
Easy entry is when the seat slides back on it's own after you turn off the vehicle to supposedly make it easy to get in or out. Just a waste of time in my opinion. Wife has it in her Grand Cherokee. I find it annoying.

RE: Residential Refrigerator question

There are brackets on the cabinet frame around the refrigerator and then bungee cords go through the door handles and hook on those brackets.

RE: RVs over 10 years old are valueless

Lie to them about how old your camper is...just like some of them lie to you about being an "RV" Resort...which is only the same RV park as always, just added the word "RESORT" to ad more money for your stay there...
Haha!
"ain't that the truth":)

RE: Oregon rules for pumping gasoline & covid-19

New Jersey was the only place that I recall was backwards enough to not allow one to pump their own gasoline.
bumpy
Well I welcome "backward" NJ pumping my gas.
You won't see the typical losers like in other states that get $5 worth of gas and abandon their car at the pump for the next 1/2 hour to get their junk food groceries for the next week, inside.
Gas jockey keeps the pumps clear.
