BRAKE CONTROLLER PLUG LOCATION?

We bought a 2018 Ford Explorer with factory tow package. Has class 3 hitch and 7 and 4 pin plugs. I was told my Prodigy 2 brake controller would plug right into the system with the special adaptor cord which I bought. I have searched the web to find specific location of the plug. Based on the video's it is under the steering colum but not sure how to access it. Has anyone done this? I am stumped.

RE: Electric space heaters

I suggest an oil filled radiant unit and a second small cube heater to move air about. We have a small cube heater ($16) from Wal Mart. Had it five years. Really helps

RE: Ideal RV space size for new park?

Pull through spots are nice. We camp with a hybrid trailer and hate staying close to others due to noise. I would say space between spots is the more important factor. Depth for long rigs including TV is important. Didth 60 plus width is good. There is a balance between acreage and number of spots I realize. Good luck. Making those spots spot on level is also a huge plus. Thanks for asking

RE: Running CPAP Without Utilities

One of my fishin buddies uses a CPAP. I tried using one group 27 battery and ran the CPAP through a power inverter. It ran 5 hours until the low voltage alarm sounded. Next trip I bought a DC adaptor which plugged right into his CPAP. This ran through the night. Third trip out we plugged the CPAP directly into a D.C. outlet of my camper which uses twin group 27 deep cycle batteries and ran for two nights along with TV, furnace and lights. If you want details send me a PM. happy to help

THULE ROOF RACK

Just got a new tow vehicle. I took off my THULE 460 roof rack system to put on my 2018 Ford Explorer. Turns out I need a different mounting platform. I contact Rack Attack which informs me THULE no longer supports my model and sent me to Ebay. I just want people to be aware of the lack of support this high end rack company fails to provide. A new rack is $450 from these jokers. Never again. Buyer beware

RE: 2019 NISSAN PATHFINDER

Google research tells a lengthy tale of CVT transmission woe's within the Nissan line beginning in 2000. Nissan extended the warranty for many who suffered tranny issues. I can find no current info however. One would hope the problem is resolved but I am not sure. Since I will be towing 3,600 pounds , if I buy, I will be also buying the extended warranty which is cheaper than same for Ford Explorer or Ranger. Makes me wonder if it is still a problem?

2019 NISSAN PATHFINDER

Searching for a new used tow behicle and am considering the Nissan Pathfinder 4 wheel drive which has a tow rating of 6,000. My research indicates reliability, parts cost and service are lower than our other choices which were Ford Explorer, Dodge Durango. Some raise concerns about the CVT transmission failing which seems to be atributed to running in the wrong transmission mode. Is anyone towing with this rig and what is your opinion? Thanks

REFILL 1LB, lp BOTTLE ?

If I fill f one pound LP bottles off my 20 pounder will the drolp in pressure, due to volume increase be a concern? I do use metal sealed caps as a safety precaution. Anyone know the pressure of standard LP bottles/ Seems after filling a few the bigger bottle loses some pressure. Thanks,

RE: Propane tank

Personally I have never found a guage to be accurate. I tun twin tanks with MANUAL switch over so I know when to fill a tank and am not surprised when both tanks run out.

RE: Still shopping

An honest seller will have no problem taking the unit to a non biast third party shop for thorough inspection. Look at blue book value.

The freezer flapper door inside my Dometic Americana model # RM-2551 has cracked and need a new asembly. Found some new online for $124. Not thinking this is a good inversment as it is nearly 20 years old and every time it runs I give a silent prayer of thanks. Anyone know of a reliable down to earth used parts source?

RE: 1967 Terry key

I hope he is not buying it without seeing inside? Yes, go with a lock smith. Or if you feel adventurous he may be able to remove all the screws holding the door frame in place and gently remove the foor in the frame

RE: General Question on Size

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like your trailer sales person was not to informative. He should have told you all about what you need. Based on the numbers you provided I say you are in the zone for towing, but just barely. I will tell you you may want to also add rear tow vehicle air bag assist. You do have a brake controller? You will need one. I suggest you take the rig to a qualified shop and have them show you how to set it all up correctly then go for a short trip . There is alot of experience on this very helpful forum. Keep asking questions.
