RE: DRW vs SRW safety, tire blowout

Had a tire incident on our SRW F-350 truck/camper many years ago. Was not a blowout but a slow leak. Took truck/camper to Les Schwab just prior to leaving on 100 mile camping trip. After they finished working on the right rear tire they replaced the hub cap but unbeknownst to me they didn't feed the valve stem through the hole they bent it over under the hub cap. This caused it to slowly leak during the trip. I left directly from the tire store and when I had gotten about 75 miles into the trip I noticed the rear of the truck was weaving on the curves. I pulled over and saw the problem and had the spare tire installed. The tire was ruined and Les Schwab replaced it free of charge. This was before TPMS. I have since upgraded to 19.5 tires/wheels and installed an after-market TPMS on the tires.

RE: Tioga Won't Budge after long neglect. Help, please.

Parking brakes will sometimes freeze up if they sit for long period of time. Maybe the gas in the tank has gone stale.

RE: How To Tear Off Your Truck Camper Jack Made Easy

I’m starting to see a market opportunity for Nerf Post :) 3 tons And in the event of a water landing it would work as a flotation device. : )

RE: Happijac new vs old?

You can often find the head motors on Ebay. I've replaced the back jacks now too, with the same result. They run about the same speed and work the motor just as hard. I got one here -> https://pantherrvproducts.com

RE: So many questions

Cab was too high and they didn't want to raise the center of gravity.

RE: how much camper can I carry

We have a Adventurer 910 FBS carried on 99 F-350 Superduty SRW. Fully loaded worst case weights for us are 7600lbs on the rear axle and 4000lbs on the front. Mods are upper/lower stableloads , 19.5 tires w/vision rims, rancho shocks and powerstop brakes. We have airbags to but don't use them. Truck/camper handles fine.
