RE: I hate roundabouts -- but maybe I am wrong

I learned to drive on the UK's 2nd Roundabout capital in Wales. However after when I went back there a few years ago after an absence of almost 30 years I had to learn all over again. Now though it wasn't as easy as before as now I was going around three lane roundabouts, on the wrong side of the road, changing a now unfamiliar gearbox with the wrong hand, and to top it all off, bi-lingual road signs! Having said that, I think they work great, but here in Canada, I wish people would signal when they exit. Any accidents that do happen on them are less serious as they are glancing rather than T boned!

RE: Border open?

Ah , looks like this new change coming only applies to Canadians and PR's . It's still up in the air about international travel , and there is a concern over the dropping vaccination rates in the US. I can see them opening up the border to other countries first and not the US!

Border open?

More details to come, but it looks as though the border into Canada will be open to fully vaccinated travelers in the not too distant future. Looks like there may be some additional restrictions for partially vaccinated people, but it's a hopeful start.

RE: RV travel across Canada during these lockdown times

Well that’s completely over stepping bounds to restrict outdoor, rural activities. Even the lib parts of the US have just recently figured out that masks don’t do squat outdoors. (Or indoors for that fact except to catch the spray from a sneeze or cough) That’s too bad. Feel soorry for you folks up there. Thankfully, the phrases, "Those who trade liberty for safety end up with neither" or "My freedom is much more important than your safety" are rarely heard in Canada. For that, we are truly grateful!

RE: RV travel to Vancouver Island restricted

Ok, so the three regions are for the tourism and travel industry guidelines, but stay in your own community for individuals? I can see that, sort of! I'm going to take my community as Greater Victoria, not a bad place to be 'stuck'!

RE: RV travel to Vancouver Island restricted

They have divided the province into three regions and say that you cannot travel between these regions unless the travel is essential. So that would mean that someone in Victoria could travel to Port Hardy, or travel from Osoyoos to Fort St John! On the other hand, it is being said that you should stay in your own community! What does that mean?

RE: RV travel to Vancouver Island restricted

So they wont be booking RVs, so does that mean you can travel without a reservation?

RE: 18 Feb 21 – Mars Rover “Perseverance” landing 1555 EST

It's taken NASA a long time to look again for life or past life on Mars. The last look was in 1976 with the Viking landers that had some strange contradictory results. --------------- The last rover to reach Mars was NASA's Curiosity, in 2012. It has been exploring an ancient lake bed in Gale Crater, where it has discovered evidence for a once-habitable environment (although it found no actual evidence of past life on Mars). (Mod)

RE: How would you answer this question ?

It was a lot easier to be over there with your peers, enduring what you had to, than to come hoime to those you loved to be spit upon. Some scars still hurt. That was a really shameful episode of US history!

RE: Wear Two Masks?

t-train, I already said in my first post that whether you wanted a vaccine or a mask is completely up to you . But can you confirm that you don't go out anywhere, you work from home and that you have no visitors? That way at least, you will not spread the virus to any one else if you pick it up somewhere.

RE: Wear Two Masks?

No mask for me and no vaccine for me. That’s all I am saying. I guess that's up to you, but I'm assuming that you don't go anywhere, work from and have no visitors. I have seen you post a lot on here, but now in the future, when I see your name, all I'll think about is this post!
