RE: 2000 Fleetwood Bounder Are Dash Air Parts The Same?

As already noted, compressor, condenser & receiver dryer are supplied by Ford. The rest of your Fleetwood Bounder F53 HVAC system is supplied by Denso, not Evans-Tempcon Richard I disagree:) The OP has a 21 year old Fleetwood Gas. While Denso did supply some Dash AC components to Fleetwood DIESEL models about 22 years ago, they did not supply GAS system components in 2000. Read what Denso has on their website for RV systems. 15 years puts us back to 2005, not to 2000. Also, there should be some tags on the evap cover and area of the OP's stating the maker of his system. He can also go to both Denso and Evans and look at the listing for DASH controls and see which matches his, which will be the maker of his Dash AC system. Doug HVAC Systems With over 15 years of providing quality HVAC systems to all the major manufacturers of recreational vehicles, only DENSO has the innovation, expertise and strict quality control to produce the best dash HVAC systems on the market. The DENSO RV HVAC system is a fully integrated system for RV heating, ventilation and air conditioning, engineered to tackle the specific requirements for today's varied motor homes. Disagree all you want but Denso did supply HVAC to the OP's coach. My 1995 Bounder gas has a Denso HVAC system. Denso was the premier supplier of HVAC to Fleetwood back then. It's easy enough to tell to tell if a Denso HVAC is installed. It's all electric with no vacuum controls. Richard Guys...I found it yesterday as I mentioned above. Just searched the F53 chassis on Rock Auto and there it was. Just over $10 at that!

RE: Taking I-10 to Jacksonville FL Looking for a layover spot

Hanna is at the Beach and north east of your destination. There is a Walmart right on I-10 at SR228, exit #336, Macclenny, Florida 8 miles west of Jacksonville City Limit. Walmart sounds perfect - I take they allow an overnight stop? I know some can't or don't.

Not sure what you're looking for, and not sure you would fit, but there is a city park in jax (believe it`s 'Hanna Park') that has an rv campground Campground map is "click to see a site".. i looked...looks like some sites, but not all, can take a rig up to 45 feet Fwiw I'll check it out. thanks! Good point about fit - with the trailer I'll be +- 48' long

RE: Taking I-10 to Jacksonville FL Looking for a layover spot

Hanna is nice but there are several RV parks along I10 just west of Jax with pull thru sites that would be easier. By mid morning the rush would be over. The snowbirds are all gone by now for the most part as well. Sounds good. Thanks!

Taking I-10 to Jacksonville FL Looking for a layover spot

We'll be making an Ikea run from Alabama to Jacksonville next month. Driving the Bounder with our cargo trailer. I'd like to find a spot outside the city to lay over the night so we can go into to Ikea mid the next morning - load up and get out. Any suggestions? Thanks!

RE: 2000 Fleetwood Bounder Are Dash Air Parts The Same?

Look up parts for an F53 motorhome chassis. Dryer is completely different than an F550, which is a truck. Yes - thanks for the reply. F53 is the key bit. Rock auto has the part and I found it once I searched F53 not F550. What confused me is the F550 documentation that came with the RV.

RE: 2000 Fleetwood Bounder Are Dash Air Parts The Same?

I think it is an F53 chassis. Yes! And that was the key to finding the part. Thanks!

2000 Fleetwood Bounder Are Dash Air Parts The Same?

F550 V-10 Ford Chassis. I need to replace the Receiver Dryer in the A/C system. IS this the same item as any other F550 of the same vintage? Update: Looking at the F550 part online it's not the same as what's in the rig.

RE: First Time Buyer...Updated 03/06/2006

Not first time but first time in a long time. Had an UltraVan..a GMC FWD and a Winnebago Elandan all up through the mid teens. Just bought a 2000 Fleetwood Bounder V10 from the original owner. Well maintained..clean..has been kept indoors. Does need a set of tires - those on it are like new but 7 years old - and the usual tidying up. We'll use it to explore the Southeast (We recently moved to Alabama), as an overflow guest room and our Hurricane Escape Pod. It will do everything we need it to do without costing us an arm and a leg...and the other leg. .$16,500.
