RE: UPDATE - F53 external fuel pump install FINISHED

Any chance on that parts list? Thanks.

RE: UPDATE - F53 external fuel pump install FINISHED

Reviews on Amazon are not very good. Check out Walbro inline fuel pumps Also, be careful. If your chassis has "returnless" fuel, the fuel pump control module will cause the pump to run hot.which of those Walbro's is for the F-53? Edit: Nevermind. I found the cross-reference chart.

RE: UPDATE - F53 external fuel pump install FINISHED

My fuel pump went out and I used an ATV lift to bring down and raise the new tank. What happened is when I went to undo the bolts to remove the pump, every one of them snapped off which mandated a new tank. The guy I bought the tank from said that bolts snapping off is the single biggest problem with replacing the in tank pumps. You may have dodged an expensive bullet by not pulling the tank.Ford tech warned me a while ago about the bolts said to make sure and pre-soak and turn forward/backward in small amounts.

RE: UPDATE - F53 external fuel pump install FINISHED

Mine was designed so the back jacks were in the way of one of the straps. That sucked. My HWH jacks are like that. I can't even see how they tightened some of the nuts. Any tips on how you handled this?

RE: UPDATE - F53 external fuel pump install FINISHED

I'm a little lost as to why I'd want an external fuel pump. Is it a replacement so you don't have to drop the fuel tank? I had to drop mine. Not because of the pump but due to the generator fuel line cracking. It was a job to say the least. I thought about sticking in a new pump while it was out but decided if it ain't broke, don't fix it.Interesting how people think. I plan on purposely dropping my tank and replacing my perfectly good pump (and generator line) this fall. Why? I would rather do it on my terms than someone else's. Nothing wrong with your philosophy. To each their own.

RE: DTV nightmare.. Timmac around?

What is the nature of 'no access'? Does the receiver stop all activity when it can't find swm? When you hit the "list" button, nothing happens. No list of movies shows up. You go to recording history and watch a recording, but not through "all recording."

RE: DTV nightmare.. Timmac around?

Pirate- my recordings play just fine sans antenna. One thing weird, if you go into the aiming screens and end up in the download advanced guide, there's no way out of it save a reboot. And to that's 7 minutes of your life you'll never get back.Just tested again. Lower antenna, turn off receiver. Turn receiver back on, no access to all recordings. RE: DTV nightmare.. Timmac around?

You should be able to view your recording sans antenna, after rebooting from no power. No, that does not work now. Something has changed. Now about continuous inverter 120V for the receiver. Will the HR44 still allow viewing recorded shows after the RV is down with the dish down? ie It's detected no sat but recordings OK. Or recordings with a overlayed error?I lowered my antenna without rebooting or powering down HR44. I was able to access my recordings by hitting list as normal. I did not test it beyond that.

RE: DTV nightmare.. Timmac around?

On my next stop I plan to power up the HR44 w/o the coax connected to verify that you can/can not see recorded shows w/o the dish connected. I have NOT been able to see all my recordings. I called and complained. Went out today and bought/installed an inverter just for the HR44 so I can keep it powered up continuously and not lose my ability to access my recordings with no antenna up.

RE: 2006 Ford F53 transmission and wheel bearing maintenance

I don't do full fluid changes on mine. I drain all I can from pan, refill, and change external filter. I repeat every few years. Nothing but a gamble on the front wheel bearings. I really don't think it will matter though if you do now or after trip. You could pull the small hub cover off and take a look at the outside bearing at least to see how it looks.

RE: HR44 Recordings. No access without antenna.

I called and Directv said I'm the only complaint. They need more people to complain.

RE: HR44 Recordings. No access without antenna.

The cure was new software downloaded by DirecTV. Please call DTV tech support to complain so they can fix it "again"!Such a horrible choice. All they want to say is put your antenna back up.

Ongoing useless discussion here too.

RE: HR44 Recordings. No access without antenna.

Ugh. Years ago that happened, then they fixed it. Hope it's not back again.I remember when that happened. I searched for the post about it so I could review what steps were taken to resolve it but haven't had any luck finding it.

RE: HR44 Recordings. No access without antenna.

Just retested. Been up & running for a few days, no glitches on satellite. Stowed antenna, was still able to view recording list, as noted by Bill above. Turned receiver off/on. Not able to view recordings. Yes, something has changed.

RE: HR44 Recordings. No access without antenna.

If you can keep the power on using an inverter while you travel you should not have this problem. You should report the problem to DirecTV is you find you are unable to access your program after power loss and no antenna connection.Thought about that but wanted the hard drive in the dvr parked while driving. Too much bouncing in the F-53.

HR44 Recordings. No access without antenna.

This issue happened before. Unable to access recordings on DVR unless hooked up to antenna. Anyone else notice? This is a new problem. I recall a fellow RV'er spent quite a bit of time fixing this issue last time it happened.

RE: UPDATE - F53 external fuel pump install FINISHED

I could slide it in, by replacing the fuel filter But the plan is couple the filter output to the pump input by fuel hose Then connect the pump output to the quick connect line going forward that is/was on the filter output I bought thick fuel hose supposedly rated for throttle body injection pressuresGet this done yet?
