RE: Smaller Couples Trailer with a Slide Out + Queen Bed

What is the wheelbase on your Blazer? That will determine max length for your trailer search and the vehicle payload/towing limits will determine the rest.

RE: Electric TT

This begs the question of how you charge both at one campsite. Granted, you may now be able to go 150 miles between charges instead of 90 miles with just the tow vehicle but now you need to rent two campsites to charge them. Electric vehicles are in the future but current technology is being forced to do something it is not advanced enough to do.

RE: Just checking in

Not one bit! We did not get a travel trailer to save money but to enjoy the world around us. Yes, overnight at a campground is way cheaper than a hotel but it takes a lot of camping to cover the initial cost of the rv and the added cost of fuel. Like any hobby, the only true return is the enjoyment it gives you.

RE: Do you pull your taillight housings monthly?

Gee, I had a 2004 Dakota that lived outside, commuted 40 miles a day snow or sun and probably had 3 or 4 runs through a car wash. In 2018 I traded it in for a new Ram and got 5k for it. Paid 9k for it and had 185,000 miles on it. Real pos's! LOL.

RE: Replacing factory installed pressure reducer

Are you sure it is a pressure reducer or is it a one way inlet valve?

RE: Do you pull your taillight housings monthly?

Sounds like either they build a crappy truck or want you to pay for a bogus service. Or someone on a forum is playing you. Things up north rust out real quick with salt use but that is rediculous.

RE: The Sewer Valve

If the cable is disconnected, is there room to screw un a long 1/4-20 screw? You could pull it out with that as that is the female end thread in the valve.

RE: Favorite way to skip the interstates?

Still using original power source for that map? They are getting harder to find in stores but still available on line. Been to bookstores that had no clue what a map or atlas was. I plan on paper then tell the gps about my plans and hope it goes along with the plan. If it won't it is relegated as above, a where am I device.

RE: Tire pressure monitor systems

Another vote for TST. Good support and has the added benefit of telling you what pressures are before you start moving. I leave the monitor on in the truck and it goes to sleep but as soon as it feels any movement, like opening the door, it wakes up and gives me pressures. Some systems have to be going down the road before they give readings and that is too late.

RE: Camping World RV Sales

What a shame that some CW's have a horrible attitude. We have had two great experiences at our local one, five years apart. Much better experiences than we had buying our sailboat. Had the same experience as others where we were not "dressed the part". Knew what we wanted and were ready to write a check but nobody would come near us. Three dealers hundreds of miles apart and nobody would even greet us. Ended up traveling up north to dreaded Long Island where another dealer of that line was. Again, nobody to even greet us. We had a "private" conversation in front of the owners office wondering why they did not want a 90k sale. We were just about back to the car when two salesmen came running out practically tripping over each other. They wanted to know if they could help. We told them the time for that had passed and we were going back home with a stop in Annapolis. Case closed for them. Got to Annapolis and has on a cap from the last Americas Cup race and they were all over us. Got the 90k boat for 78k. All it took was a $15 cap. Who knew?

RE: Replacement Awning Fabric

Two ways to help longevity. One is to get awning protectors that slip over the closed awning when you are stationary as they cannot be on while in motion. The second is to go for a major change and install a system that has a metal cover over the awning when it is rolled up. Pricey but it will save the awning.

RE: Sequential use of small water jugs with pump

Don't know about everyone else, but I am sure glad that somewhere in history the rv manufacturers decided to put fresh water tanks in all units. That enables just about all of us to avoid the highly complicated setup proposed by the OP. And to add to that, it is probably the only tank with fairly reliable sensors. If only we knew more about the Kia Sorento the OP is converting into a motor home.

RE: Water pressure drop

Is there enough water in the tank? That is the place to start because you can replace a lot of parts but without enough water in the fresh tank you will get just what you have.

RE: Front Cap

We had the same issue so I got a piece of sunblock material and attached it to the end of the carport at the top. The bottom is held by a thin line attached to each bottom corner and tying off to a small cleat on each side. When leaving, I untie the bottom lines and drive under it. So far it has worked well for keeping the sun off as it faces due west.

RE: 5th wheel front tripod

They help to keep you from whacking into the pin. They are also good at separating you and some cash.
