RE: Changes to Snowbird lifestyle and Snowbird communitiess

I'm ok with changes like Pot Lucks going away if that happens. I've been to many of them for the socializing aspect but I don't eat the food. We show up after the meal is done. I'm sure most of it is prepared in good sanitary conditions but I can't get the image out of my head of (insert name here) with the cigarette with a long ash hanging out of her mouth, hacking up a lung and wearing a sweater with dog and cat hair all over it. She's the one that prepared the Chili everyone is eating. No thanks. I totally agree with you.

RE: Full-time and don't/didn't like it?

I think those who sell their house, an increasing asset, spend it all on a RV with none set back for the future, can find them in trouble when they have to sell their RV, a decreasing asset, to buy a home. bumpyWhat makes you think that we would ever want to buy a home again? The ability to be free of all that owning a home means is why we full time. If we decide to give up full timing we would rent somewhere but we would never own a home again. A house is not necessarily a increasing asset either as many found out in the 2008 down turn.

RE: 2019 Ranger... anyone using this as a toad???

Google some Ranger forums and you will find some Ranger owners that use it as a toad with no problems at all. That 55 mph limit may have applied to older Rangers but not with the new ones. I bought a 2019 Ranger and installed the Roadmaster base plate. It was an easy install and looks good. I haven't pulled it behind the MH yet but don't see any problem arising. The Ranger even tells you when you have it set up for being towed. From the manual: 1. Put the ignition in the on position, but do not start the engine. If your vehicle has an ignition key, turn the key to the on position. If your vehicle has intelligent access, press the engine START/STOP button once without pressing the brake pedal. 2. Press and hold the brake pedal. 3. Rotate the four-wheel drive switch to 2H. 4. Shift the transmission to neutral (N). 5. Enable Neutral Tow by selecting Settings in the information display menu. 6. Then select Vehicle. 7. Then select Neutral Tow and follow the instructions on screen. Note: If successfully completed, the information display shows NEUTRAL TOW LEAVE IN N or Neutral Tow Enabled Leave Transmission in Neutral. This indicates that your vehicle is safe to tow with all wheels on the ground.
