RE: Soft Spot in Floor, Can't Find Leak!!!

You posted: Nov, 2018 - Winterized and stored until Apr, 2019. It was store in my driveway without a cover to verify the shops conclusion that the leak was fixed. There was a fair amount of snow and ice on it throughout the winter. Apr, 2019 - De-winterized. Soft spot what noticeably worse. I cut open the underbelly and found the floor and insulation were wet. The invalidated the shops conclusion. Since it leaked over the winter when it was winterized it is NOT a plumbing leak. Has to be a roof or window leak IMO.

thetford aqua-magic V...hand flush vs foot pedal flush

I have the hand flush model and fumes are escaping where the hand flush arm enters the bowl area. There is a non-replaceable seal there so I can't fix it. I actually like the toilet and am considering the foot flush model to replace it. Does anyone know if the foot flush model is repairable ??

RE: carbon Monoxide alarm going off

CO2 is odorless....you may be smelling something, but its not CO2. CO is actually colorless, tasteless, AND odorless. Because it cannot be noticed without a detector or meter, CO has earned the dubious name of “silent killer.” When folks call and say they can “smell carbon monoxide,” they are usually referring to other combustion byproducts that the human nose can detect.

RE: How to remove/replace bolt

Yes, you will need a drill bit for drilling metal and make it a good quality one. Buy a 1/8-inch bit and a self-tapping screw appropriate for the hole (drill) size. The hardware store clerk should be able to help you choose a good drill bit, properly sized screw, and center punch (if you don't have one). If you doubt your current drill can do the job, buy a good quality cordless drill. You will need it again if you continue to RV. (You will be drilling from the bottom up.) Start by using the center punch to mark the place next to the existing mounting point where you are going to drill. Hit the center punch firmly once or twice with a hammer after cutting a small circle out of the coroplast (so you can see the "dimple" made by the center punch). The "dimple" produced by the center punch will keep the drill bit from wandering around when you first start drilling. Drill a hole and attach the bracket with the self-tapping screw. Good luck! And wear safety goggles if you are under it drilling up!

RE: Plain Black Wrapper

Folks shouldn't obey the vehicle laws only when they can "see" an officer around - anyway. We need more law abiding drivers all the time everywhere regardless of how the police are outfitted. IMHO, the police can be concealed anyway and anytime they want. I even wish we had automatic radar and cameras along most U.S roads so ticketing could be via notices in the mail to violators based on matching radar readings to license plate photos ... boy would that straighten out a lot of drivers in a hurry! We sure need some drastic vehicle law inforcement improvements all over the U.S. - to make RV travel and all other vehicle travel more safe and relaxing for all.Absolutely, that police state can't get here soon enough. Hey, they have red-light cameras ... I think speeding cameras would be a good idea...at least for the idiots that go 85 mph or higher.

RE: What are your yearly registration costs for your truck?

Colorado has to be the worst for new vehicles. I know it's over $1,000 for a new one, maybe someone here with a new truck can post.
