RE: Still confused about inverter n gen

Either my transfer switches aren't fast enough or my TVs are too sensitive and the all restart when switching power sources. Not much of a problem until my kid was in the middle of a gaming session. :B Exactly so yours does the same..what brand inverter do u have? The transfer switches are the Xantrex 15amp Auto Transfer Relays: http://www.xantrex.com/power-products/default/inline-transfer-relay.aspx I'm not bothered by it, honestly. Yeah by the end of the day I guess I could prob deal with it.. But I've just been told different information from different people so was just wondering.

RE: Still confused about inverter n gen

So I did a Lil test I had the inverter on n turned tv on.. Then I turned on the gen n waited for the gen to convert over.. When it converted over to gen the TV shut off..then I did the opposite.. Had the gen on n inverter turned off.. Had tv on.. Then I turned inverter on n shut down the gen.. Same results

Still confused about inverter n gen

So I have a 2020 attitude 3218mm..i have a xantrax 1800 pro inverter, 2 solar panels n solar charger. When I bought my rig I took it in to eclipse for some warranty work.. They advised me to turn inverter off before i turn on gen(Onan 5500) n vice versa.. Turn gen off before turning on inverter. Now when this is done it interrupts my outlets which interrupts my TVs while watching. But I've been told I should have a automatic transfer switch built into the inverter n I should be able to leave inverter on while running the gen. Can anyone with newer attitudes confirm this pls thks

RE: What 5r (ToyHauler) do you own?

Genesis Supreme https://i.ibb.co/yPQss16/20191019-173245.jpg i have been looking at those and the attitude toyhaulers. how do you like yours so far? i ask as the eclipse toyhaulers and genesis seem to be the leaders in toyhaulers ( for full sized toys) compared to anything built in indidana. I've owned 3 attitude haulers n have been happy with all 3..my newest one is the 2020 3218mm..love it.. I'm not a big fan of having a separate garage, it makes the living area just too tight.. I like the open Floorplan.. Having said that, eclipse is in socal so if you live in socal that's another plus. I just take mine straight to the manufacturer if it needs anything.. Better than the dealer

RE: Trailers, Trucks and Toy's Oh My...

Just go for it and enjoy bro...you only live once..I just traded in my 2017 F250 diesel and bought a 2019 F350 and a new 2020 attitude 3218mm 5th wheel..bought both in Nov 2018, my score has not budged. I just checked it yesterday and still strong:)

RE: What 5r (ToyHauler) do you own?

All brands have issues when you buy new..its just the name of the game. But what makes it is the service and warranty you get from the dealer/manufacturer and how they handle them. Ive owned 3 eclipse attitudes..all brand new and all with issues..nothing major but still issues. The good thing about attitude is, if you live in socal, the manufacturer is in Riverside. So any work you need done you can take it straight to the manufacturer and not the dealer. I looked at GD Momentums and and also Fuzions..I liked them but i didnt want a separate garage because it takes away from the living space. I like the openness of not having a garage to me its nicer. Also attitude was the only brand that offered Lithium batteries and the hybrid off the grid package, I can run my AC or microwave without the gen on. But again i like having the manufacturer here in socal where i can take it straight there for any fixing. Shop around and make sure you get what you want and all the options you want..if you dont you will regret it later. Again there are nice brands out there it all depends on what you are looking for.

RE: Battery tender along w solar.??

Is it safer to just plug the hauler to the house wall plug instead of hooking up a tender to the battery..I believe my solar is constantly charging..not sure on shut off..but it's a 210 watt panel

RE: Battery tender along w solar.??

No when I have it stored at home I push in the battery disconnect n the solar charges battery but my question is can I also connect a battery tender to the battery w solar charging

RE: Battery tender along w solar.??

So at home u have your tt plugged in using your 30 or 50 amp service n adaptor to your house wall plug? Or do u use a battery tender? Yeah I was not sure if having both the tender n solar would conflict

Battery tender along w solar.??

I have one lithium battery and one 210 watt solar.. obviously when it's cloudy the solar does no good when I have my RV sitting at home. Can I also use a battery tender along w my solar to keep my battery up when hauler is sitting at home?

RE: Toy Hauler Pictures

That is awesome... Would kill for a house like that.. How much does a house like that run about up there if u don't mind me asking Northridge dollars go along way up here. 3/4 acre, 2700', all the options go for under $400k. I can see why a lot of folks live up here and commute down to SoCal. I bet.. It's definitely a nice house u got there.. But the commute just wouldn't work for me n the wifey.

RE: Toy Hauler Pictures

Thanks. And, 95% of why I bought this house is the amount of concrete. Here is an older google map pic when the previous guy was finishing all the concrete. It actually has 3 separate RV spots with locking gates. Only one has full hook-ups. https://i.imgur.com/20dXZh5l.jpg That is awesome... Would kill for a house like that.. Just bought this Eclipse Attitude 28IBG. With 4 atv's in the back, she weighs 10,600. The tongue weight is 1,120 with the front A/C, front wardrobe slide-out and no water. https://i.imgur.com/edJ218Tl.jpg Nice house..looks like you have plenty of room for RVs in driveway..Wish i had that much room...i have mine on my side yard which i paved but i like your driveway setup. BTW nice hauler!!

RE: Toy Hauler Pictures

2020 attitude 3218mm https://i.imgur.com/6s8ykxUl.jpg Nice! Where was that pic taken? We just spent 2 nights in Cal City dry camping. I'm going to add another battery as 1 just isn't enough to run the heater as much as we did.... that was at dove springs..our normal spot. we came home this sunday. We usually stay out until new yrs day but decided to come home early and beat the traffic..was about to goto cal city but plans changed last min.. When i had my 2014 attitude 27cbg i had them add two 12 volts...My new 2020 attitude came with one lithium which supposedly equals to having two 6 volts..I also have a 210 solar panel. When i had my old hauler with two 12 volts..this was my routine which kept the batteries in top shape and strong throughout the trip.. I would plug the hauler to the house using a thick gauge extension cord couple days before a trip so it would charge the batteries to full..then during the trip i would turn on the gen in morning for few hrs and at night for few hrs to maintain the battery...Once i get home, I would plug the hauler back in using the cord to the house to charge battery to full for couple days..then i would unplug and put on a battery tender to maintain during non use. 5 yrs i had the old hauler i never once had a battery issue doing that routine. even with heater going at night. If you can afford it get the lithium battery..u wont regret. but if not try what i did.

RE: Changing tires on flipped triple axle

Do you have the Lippert auto level feature (6 hydraulic jacks)? If so I’d lift the trailer with the jacks to change the tire. Yes I do.. I have the 6 point hydraulic... I also thought about this but I thought I read somewhere not to use it to change tires..

RE: Changing tires on flipped triple axle

I use a $30 portable 2 ton floor jack available from Harbor Freight or most any hardware store. I've had a bottle jack kick out too many times due to weight shifting while lifting under a round axle. The floor jack is small and light enough to carry in my storage compartment and feel it is much safer. Yeah I was leaning towards the floor jack idea because of the reason u mentioned the surface of the bottle jack on the curved axle I don't feel safe. Is the 2 ton jack enough to lift the axle?

Changing tires on flipped triple axle

I have a triple axle toy hauler and it came with flipped axles..How do you change tires on the center axle? Bottle jack? If so do i lift it on the frame since there is no good spots on the axle since its flipped and the ubolt plate is on top.
