RE: Eternabond tape on fiberglass sides

X2 on removing the metal corner molding, first I’d check the water damage JD deal with repairing it as left alone will just get worse. Then put down new butyl tape, then reinstall the metal trim and seal with Dicor. A good video to watch is this one….. In it you will see a Dicor corner tape available on Amazon used. If I ever have to do this job it’s exactly what I would use…..

RE: Nash 18FM

We considered the same model after selling our AF 27-5L and downsizing. The biggest thing we had an issue with is the Murphy Bed. Was also concerned about its weight with our Yukon as the tow vehicle.

RE: Adding a new 120 vac circuit and outlet

We downsized to. 19’ TT recently and are out in its maiden voyage. One task has been to determine the place best for our portable tower heater. Like the OP we don’t expect to camp in freezing temps. Once home a dedicated circuit will be added to the location we determine. The little portable heater does a great job keeping the small trailer nice and warm. Thanks for the info

RE: Cottonwood Trees and their Seeds

I’d me just as concerned if you are parked under them for their limbs falling on your rig. They are notoriously a weak tree. We have them on the lower part of the property and have several limbs snap and break spurring the spring/summer months

RE: Need recommendations for a new Short Queen size mattress

Curious what kind of platform your mattress sits on. We had one in our last rig that was a metal frame around the edges and metal bars in a few other places in the middle. To give the mattered something ti sit on it then had a webbing done like a basket weave that worked pretty good, but the mattress funnels two people to the middle like yours. The metal bars were 1” below the outside metal frame which caused most of the issue, got some 1” aluminum tubing from Home Depot that fixed the problem.

RE: TT Brake Service

I will never use the EZ-Lube grease zerk because of the excessive amount of grease in the hub and the very likely chance of grease getting on the brakes. Thoroughly clean the bearings and inspect them, then grease by hand. I use the grease gun to flush the old grease out of the hole in the spindle while it is apart, then never use it again. Do it right by hand and don't depend on gimmicks like EZ-Lube. Completely agree and after seeing a new fifth wheel brake loaded with grease from the Dexter factory, very few people are able to use the system correctly. Dexter has a good video on how it should be done, but I prefer doing it by pulling and inspecting the bearings and replacing the seals.
