RE: Anyone gone on a Cruise?

We have been on at least 20 cruises over the years. Our best advice is to find a good travel agent to help you out. They have a wealth of information and can match you up with just the right cruise. Would never try to do it myself as I like having someone to go to with questions or problems. They know all the ins and outs of travel to help me out.

RE: Pigion Forge TN

I'll put in another vote for Pine Mountain. Stayed there last Memorial Day and we were very impressed . Hope to get back there in the future.

RE: Winterizing and sink sprayer hose

We had the same issue one year only with our outdoor shower head. Forgot all about it until we hooked up the first time in the spring and saw water dripping. Lesson was learned, we now take it off when we winterize and have had no issues since.

RE: Fulltiming in a Class C

We are not full timers but snowbirds. Have spent 3+ months in our 32ft Thor Chateau with no issues. You just have to learn what items are a must and what is not needed. The first year we had way too much and from there took out what was not needed. Love spending winters where it is warmer!

RE: Overcab rebuild cost

We had the same issue several years ago on our then 2001 Sunseeker. The charge to do the complete rebuild was right at $11,000. Thank goodness our insurance company covered all but our deductible as it was determined it was caused by a storm we had that damaged the cabover. One time we were glad we had paid the insurance for years never using it. Came through when we needed it!

RE: Roadside Assistance problem

We only had to use our GS Roadside assistance and it was such a joke that we now have FMCA Roadside for any future issues we might have. Just got another letter to renew our GS or only $219.95 well that ain't going to happen!

RE: What did you do to your Class C MH today???

What kind of tires are you thinking about Sqdancecaller? Your first set since My 2013? My unit has firestone transforce HT, a bit cheaper than others, but I haven't had any problems with them. Not sure what I might do next. Our local tire shop recommended Master Craft tires. Got them on and have most everything loaded and ready to head south tomorrow. Only wish we were already there as it is a cold 26 this morning and due to be even colder tomorrow when we leave.

RE: Closed Please Review Rules - Overnighting at Walmart

Other options would be truck stops line Pilot, Flying J and Loves. You can also park at Cabellas and some Cracker Barrels. Have stayed at all the above for a short overnight.

RE: Class C Privacy Curtain??

Here is the link for the cover we have. Bought it from Camping World right after we got our Class C and love it especially when we are parked for several days. You can see out and even lower the side windows for air flow. Only issue is at night when we are inside with the lights on passerby's can see in. Solved that by placing a lamp on the dog house which blocks the view while giving us light. Works great.

RE: 32 ft class c

We have a 32 ft Thor Chateau and tow our HHR on a tow dolly. Only 1 AC but it works fine for us. We do keep a small fan handy should it get overly warm but it hasn't been used that much. I do agree with the issue on getting in and out of gas stations. It can be a hassle but we have learned to be very diligent in checking before we get ourselves in a bind. Usually try to use Flying J's or Pilot as they usually have RV lanes that make it much easier.

RE: What did you do to your Class C MH today???

Finally had a warm day so did the monthly generator run, put a few items in the coach and sat dreaming of our upcoming 12 day trip to Florida. Heading to the St. Petersburg Indy race on March 10th and it can't get here soon enough. Did make a trip to our local tire shop and did some checking about getting new tires and made arrangements to have that done in a few weeks. So ready to get the coach back out on the road and away from the snow and ice.
