RE: Homeless Cat -- Now Spotacus' Legacy

We just took our timid kitty camping and he did great! Much better than we expected. I hope Czarney decides to love it! Stephany

It's so great that your Spring is just around the corner and that you have access to water and a shower. I hope access to water in your house happens very soon! We got our first dump of snow here in Seattle this past week and it was a doozy, and it is also melting fast. But the lack of power and water with a snow dump and sustained low temps is heartbreaking. I hope things get back to normal soon. Stephany

I think I'd get the hose out to persuade those vultures to move along! That sounds more annoying than the repeated mating drills from flickers on our metal chimney cap at 0 dark hundred! Stephany

Aww, that really stinks. But you did the right thing. How far from you does his other family live? Cat's don't usually venture that far from home. Sorry that he has to go back. Hopefully, they will at least reimburse you for his surgery and care. Hang in there, Stephany

Do you and TF & SF know about D-Mannose? It worked great for my Father in law when he had a resistant UTI, and then it worked again when he had a UTI and could no longer take antibiotics after he was diagnosed with C-Diff. Here is more info: Hope this helps. UTIs always sent my FIL downhill fast. Stephany

RE: Homeless Cat -- Now Spotacus' Legacy

Our directionally-challenged kitty was missing for 4 days until a neighbor on the next street over called and said she ran into his garage and then house. He recognized her from the poster I had put on the community mailboxes for a 5 block radius around our house. Be sure to include a big color picture of him on your poster, and put copies on every mailbox or group of mailboxes all around you. I also found tips online for finding scared kitties when they get out. According to what I read, they don't usually go that far away, but they can be too scared to return when you call them. Suggestions included borrowing a trap from an animal rescue and setting it up nearby. Other suggestions were to use trail cameras to see if you can see him. One other thing, I walked all the streets around us looking for her, and I talked with a neighbor who said their cat was once missing for a month before she came home. So there is always hope. I hope he comes home soon. Stephany
