RE: Tire went flat in the driveay. Damage?

Unless you replace it with a Colby valve, which are really handy, although quite expensive and IMO, better reserved for emergency repairs.
Colby valve- Now that is neat. Thanks!

RE: Laptop Stripped Screw ?????

If you have a dremel tool you could cut a slot in the head and take it out with a flat blade screwdriver.

RE: trailer brakes failed, any brake experts on here?

The inside of the axle rusts and is rough which wears out the wire jacket.

RE: trailer brakes failed, any brake experts on here?

Rockwind1, many times the wire running into the axle will chafe and short out. My old Dutchmen had the brake wires tied to the outside of the axles. The old wires were cut off and sticking out of the axle holes.
Maybe one of yours is shorted out in the axle and moving the wires was enough to break the connection. Might be worth re-wring via outside the axles.

RE: SSD Storage

Look in CONTROL PANEL/ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS/COMPUTER MANAGEMENT. On the next window, under STORAGE click on disk management. The middle column will show all the drives on the computer. Assuming you can see the drive, sometimes drive letter administration doesn't work correctly and your SSD might want to use drive F (not H) but it is already in use. You can assign a new letter to the SSD. When I do this I usually use letters near the end so it doesn't get overwritten.
Obviously if it is not showing there are other problems.

RE: Roof Vent Cover

They are generally a 14” x 14” square opening. If it has the little fan in the corner it might be a Ventline . Check out this one from amazon Camco vent lid

RE: Well known browsers acting strangely on iPad

I have a further question. How do I hide the bookmark bar that takes up about 1/3 of the screen when I’m on a web page? Thanks again.
Just press the bookmark icon again. It will disappear.

RE: Crack in Black Tank

When I fixed the cracks in the bottom of the black tank in my Jayco, I used black ABS cement and boat cloth. It worked great until the top cracked the next year. Then I just replaced the tank. I think the tank was damaged by something the previous owner dumped into it. Or it was just from being 10 years old.

RE: First tow with new 2019 Ram 3500 and ...disappointed.

Being a new-to-you trailer this will require some fine tuning. My Jayco with a gross of 9500 chucked badly when I first got it. This was with my ‘01 Ram dually Using either a Reese 15K Pro or Reese 22K hitch. Added shocks and a 5th Airborne pinbox that helped a lot. Still chucked on the westbound end of the old Tappan Zee though to the extent I almost got car sick.
Anyway same trailer, same setup, either hitch but towing with ‘15 RAM dually, very rare to chuck and is usually the road surface where maybe slowing down or speeding up a little helps.
All that to say you will need to tweak your setup to get into the sweet spot for towing comfort.
Best luck, this is all part of the fun!

RE: Final accounting, 14 years with a Super C

G7ARYM, Great report. I would like to have a Kodiak based diesel Seneca. Almost had the DW convinced a couple of years ago but when we went to a local dealer to check out a used unit it had been sold so they wouldn't let us look at it. I just wanted to see if it would be something that could work for us. I was dreaming of flat towing my dually behind it with a golf cart or Sportster in the bed :)
That was it, so I am fixing up the old 5er and will enjoy it like we have for the past 13 years.

RE: Good Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner

I have a cheap Wifi OBD dongle that works but then I upgraded to an OBDLink MX for use with AlfaOBD.
It is a more expensive option but the AlfaOBD app allows feature upgrades to most FCA vehicles that are otherwise not available from a dealer.
