RE: Break away cable

Does your hitch mount to rails in the truck bed? I mount mine to anything solid close to the tailgate.

RE: Are yu Hungry?

Haven't been hungry since Thanksgiving but keep eating for some strange reason. BTW, if you study your nutrition, 15 grams of protein in a meal is really quite excellent.

RE: removing antenna ??

If you get rid of it you will lose all over the air digital channels. In bigger centres that can be 100’s of channels. The plug in interior antennas will get those for $20.

RE: RV Crushes Truck

I am not a fiver guy so did not spot why this happened? Anyone else? What a bummer I think someone thought that the pin was locked in too high in the jaws.

RE: RV Crushes Truck

No tug test w/ legs still down! I said lift the front legs about ONE INCH off the ground. This way if it lets go, it only drops an inch and not on the truck. Ken I don't think the level up jacks will let you do that, in the video it completely raises one jack and then starts on the other (I assume because Lippert put a pump so weak that it can't be arsed to lift two jacks at once) afidel, you and I could both learn something if it was possible. Sometimes I miss the individual jack control that I had on my cabover camper.

RE: Single Rear Wheel vs Dually - Whats the Best for You

I really hate driving my dually if I'm not towing, so I don't. If my truck had to be a daily driver I would probably switch to a SRW truck. Maybe when I'm old and don't tow anymore.

RE: RV Crushes Truck

I just felt happier about having a ball hitch.

RE: Please help me choose between these two portable smokers

I think that you could make bacon for breakfast in the stovetop but not make bacon from scratch in it. My feeling is the same for the Masterbuilt for that matter. You will not have low temperature control with either of these units. They are smoke cookers.

RE: Hey Smokers! (meat, that is)

Prime brisket on the smoker this morning and a 10 lbs. ham going on in a couple of hours. Tis the season! Merry Christmas smokers!

RE: Pumpkin Mousse

Never heard of powdered monk fruit. What is that?

RE: Water filter upstream of the pump?

I use the cannister type filters at the tank fill point so that the water is highly filtered before reaching the tank. The kitchen faucet filters can be tricky if you forget about them when you winterize.

RE: Ol' Blue

Sadly, she passed away a few years ago now after her battle with cancer.

RE: Locked radio on my 2001 Suburban

Happens to Honda’s too and all it has required is a call to the service department.

RE: Auto leveling airbag system??? How important is this?

PacBrake bags required 5psi empty. Did not notice and difference. Personally never heard of 10 psi min. I've always wondered what one condition or 1/2 ton truck the minimum air pressure was written for. My dually has overload springs and I've driven many times with the airbag valve stems removed with no damage to my bags. So, I've always assumed that the minimum air pressure was written for a weak or overloaded condition on specific class of trucks.

RE: freezer have ice flakes

This was happening to me this past summer and it turned out it was the refrigerator door. My refrigerator is a side by side. One door has to close before the other or the flap between the doors doesn't click in properly. In my case, the door on the left has to close firmly before the door on the right closes.

As a side note, that is an absolutely gorgeous truck!!

RE: Question on using auto level while stored for the winter

It isn't an issue of weight on the jacks so I'd go with the nose high approach.

RE: Auto leveling airbag system??? How important is this?

With the trucks sitting so high these days, I have virtually no air in my manual air bags to seek a level 5th wheel while towing. The air bags came in handy with my cabover camper but not needed at all for my 5th wheel.

RE: Help and Advice on a badly placed 5th wheel

The OP left the building after page 3.lol Which is too bad because I either wanted to see a report back on how it worked or that the repairs ended up costing more doing it the cheap way rather than the right way to start with.
