RE: Do I Want to Break Down Solids?

My black tank sensor has never worked, reads 2/3's full even when empty.

RE: Our first, and last, TT rental experience

My wife was recently diagnosed with cancer so we have decided to sell our 5th wheel and try Airb&b trips versus RV rental.

RE: Pet peeve, neighbors leave porch light on

BTW, don’t camp in Alaska in the summertime.

RE: Oregon to charge 25% more for out of state RV campers

Greed abounds. The campground that we stay at on a monthly basis (at a discounted rate) is dropping their monthly sites because they can make more money on nightlies and a full campground.Unlike that dirty rotten greedy park owner, I am sure you have passed on every chance you have had to increase your income.
In retrospect that appears to be a bad decision on your part. Because if you had taken those opportunities to increase your income you could likely afford to pay that nightly rate and still stay for a month.
It has nothing to do with my ability to afford it for a month. For us, the price now just exceeds the value/experience of staying there but I appreciate your concern for my finances.

RE: Exterior Caulking

The Heartland factory used silicone on my Big Country. It didn't last very long. I am replacing small sections at a time as they fail with Lexel.

RE: Meatloaf

Definitely. Have made it in a cast iron dutch oven and it's definitely a favorite around here.
Try it with some smoke introduced as described by OP. You may never go back.

RE: Use of FLEX-SEAL (revisited)

^Thats cool!
Is it softer like plasti dip or harder like Bedliner?
Closer to tool dip than bedliner. The smooth, glossy finish on my transom panels makes cleaning fish blood and such a breeze.

RE: Use of FLEX-SEAL (revisited)

The transom panels on my boat were carpeted and the sun rotted the carpet out. I made new panels and did a couple coats of Flex Seal. It has worked great for going on 5 years now.

RE: black water tank treatments

I find that more times than not, the smell in the coach is from the kitchen gray tank when emptied due to rotting food particles. I now add treatment to that tank as well.

RE: "Use Both Lanes Until Merge Point"

When people have opportunities to move over and they don’t and speed past to the end THAT is the problem. When I pulled in like most have and are in the thru lane we are bumper to bumper near the end. Why should I hit my brakes to let someone in that clearly does not think they should wait like everyone else???I've had people try to squeeze past me when we are right at the cones. Now I straddle the line between the lanes a good 100 yards before the pinch point.

RE: Rusty grille - How to avoid

For me, the heavy scrap and clean is before each use. Preheat the grill on high and stuff comes off easily, no rust.

Resale prices

Online value sites don’t seem to be anywhere close to current used sale pricing so how does one figure current market value?

RE: 3rd AC

We have a portable 14000 inverter LG in our condo master bedroom ,280 sq ft.IT is very quiet and will freeze you out in a matter of minutes.IT would be a simple install and would be my choice at 650$. in Canada.
ON our 40 ft Landmark i played with the ducting to push more air to the Living area and closed the door to the upper level, stayed decent at 100 degrees
So blocking some vents in the bedroom made the living space bearable?
