RE: Furrion Back-up Camera

I have the furrion observation camera. I like this one because you can use it while driving. It works great, you can see everything that's coming up behind you and if you pass someone you can see how far you've cleared them by.

RE: Considering a newer tow rig....

I have a 2017 F150 w/max tow package 3.5 eco boost 3:55 gears. I tow a 30' SportTrek GVRW 8300. Trailer pulls great no issues there. Gas MPG is 20-22 without the trailer 9-10 when pulling. Either way you go I would recommend the max tow package for the truck. Good luck.

RE: Slide problems (electrical)

Sounds like you have a wire grounding out on the frame. That would explain why it only happens when you put power to it.

RE: First RV Purchase - Need Advice - Venture RV Stratus

I own a 2017 Venture SportTrek 271VRB. After owning several trailers I'd say this one was the best built. I have pulled it over 5000 miles and have had only minor issues that I fixed myself. I pull it with a 2016 F150 3.5 Eco-Boost w/max tow package. Good Luck.

RE: starting to look at trucks

I have the 2016 F150 Max Tow W/3.5 eco boost and 3.55 gears. I pull a 8300 trailer. Pulled it from Mn to Nashville thru the Smokey Mtns and back the truck has no issues what so ever pulling this trailer. Gas mileage is between 8 and 9.5 depending on speed and terrain. without the trailer the truck gets 19-21 mpg. Hope this helps.

RE: 2001 GMC Yukon 1500 as TV

I pulled a 7000lb GVWR trailer with a Tahoe with the trailer tow package. The short wheel base of the truck makes for poor towing. I had a lot of sway if there was any amount of wind. I'd recommend renting a trailer first. That will give you a better understanding of what you can tow. Good luck.

RE: Is there really a 1/2 ton towable fifth wheel?

Durango makes 5'ers with GVWR from 9000 - 10,500 pounds. with that said it really depends on what your 1/2 ton is rated for. For example Fords F150 range anywhere from 6000-12,500 depending on which tow package you buy.

RE: Mesa Az resort

Any of the Cal-am resorts are nice. I like Valle Del Oro for its location and easy access to hwy 60. If you Google Cal-Am resorts it will list all of them.

RE: New F-150 with 13,200 lb tow rating!

I have a 2016 F150 w/max tow package. I pull a 30' trailer with a gross trailer weight of 8300 pounds. I pulled close to 5000 miles last year without any issues. There are only 2 of us in the truck and I don't haul much of anything in the truck box. I use a equalizer WD hitch with 4 point sway control. The gas mileage is poor when pulling the trailer. I average in the 9 - 9.5 MPG range. Hope this helps. Good luck

RE: Same Travel Trailer...new or used? Worth the warranty?

If you feel you need a warranty buy one. You can get one from Good Sam or Coach Net. That will cover major items and give you piece of mind. Good Luck

RE: Travel Trailer Weight w/ My Truck

You'll be fine. I have a 2016 truck with the eco-boost and max tow. Trailers a 30 foot with GVWR 8400. Pulled it close to 5000 miles the summer with no issues other then gas mileage is about 9.5 MPG. Enjoy your trailer.

RE: Quality Travel Trailer

SportTrek Tour Edition has many features found in the Durango 5'ers. I've pulled mine 5k miles the only problem was a shelf in the bathroom closet was mounted upside down. is fix but shows how little attention is paid during assembly.

RE: Thoughts on 2018 aspen trail 2340

I had a 2012 Dutchman lite. Nice trailer and well built. I would still have it if it wasn't for a flood.

RE: Simple passive solar water heater

How about putting a 12 volt pump in line. Let the barrel gravity flow to the pump and let the pump build your pressure.

RE: Planning a Trip to South Dakota & Wyoming

The Corn Palace in Mitchell SD and the Auto museum in Murdo SD. These are good stops to get out and stretch as SD can be a long way across.

RE: Looking at this TT online

I own a ST271VRB SportTrek. I've pulled it about 5k miles and had no issues. The build quality is as good as any other I've had over the years. If you like the floor plan I'd say go for it. Hope this helps. Good Luck
