RE: Good time to buy class a diesel?

Traded up from a 34 gasser to a pre-owned 39 diesel pusher this past October. Salesman said they sell as soon as they hit the lot.

RE: Warm weather traveling

On our old gasser and our newer to us diesel pusher we use the roof top air almost always. It gives us a nice comfortable trip and when we arrive at our campsite, its a quick plug in and the rig stays cool and comfortable. I found the extra fuel use negligible.

RE: Is there any difference in DRIVING a gas class A vs diesel?

We just traded up from a 34' Fleetwood Bounder with the V10 on the F53 chassis to a Fleetwood Discovery 39'pusher. The air brakes took a little while to get used to but the ride with air suspension is in my opinion much smoother than our gasser. I think a lot has to do with the weight of the coach. We loved our Bounder and took her cross country with never a hiccup even on long mountain pulls. Looking forward to many great adventures with our new rig.

RE: Class A V-10 mileage

I average 7 to 7.5 mpg on a 2000 Bounder towing a 2007 Honda Pilot. I normally run the generator and both a/c's while driving.

RE: 2000 Bounder Electrical Problem

Thanks for the suggestions. .i cleaned the ground wire to bare metal and added an additional ground wire to make sure it was a solid connection. I jiggled the key, the engine kept running. The red cutoff switch is fully depressed. I'm moving on to jiggling and thumping!

RE: 2000 Bounder Electrical Problem

Thanks for the suggestions. A good friend is a truck mechanic and he said he would take a look at it. His suggestion was to pull wires and shake relays to see if we can replicate it in the shop. I'll let you know if we're successful.

2000 Bounder Electrical Problem

Hi all. Just returned from a 1500 mile trip to Florida. My Fleetwood Bounder with the V10 engine started to turn off abruptly whenever I hit a bump in the roadway. Sometimes it would restart on its own and other times I had to shift into neutral while rolling along at 55 mph and restart it with the key. It started every time but it was more than nerve wracking. I checked all battery connections, cleaned, tightened and even ran another ground wire to the engine block. I then replaced the ignition switch in the steering column. The problem persists. Any experience with this problem or any tips on where to look next would be appreciated. Thanks.
