RE: Picking up a 24' Class C

We've owned Ford class C's and B's of the 1980's in the past and at present have a 21' 2004 R-Vision B+ along with our lass A Tiffin. When we purchased the B+ for a trip to Alaska, my wife insisted on a Chevrolet 3500 Chassis, due to leg room on the passenger side, I felt at the time it didn't make any difference. She's 5' and I'm 6'-2" tall. After renting a 20' Ford F450 Penske box van for a 1500 mile move to Florida, in which she did 90% of the driving due to me wrenching my leg, I wouldn't have the current Ford RV Chassis, way to tight for leg room for me. This was after traveling in our B+ towing a 14' trailer, a month before over the route, again with here doing most of the driving after the 1st day.

RE: B+ motorhomes

As the Miata goes, all set up except disabling steering lock and changing trans lube to Redline transmission gear lube, plus need to install an elbow to "overfill" 6 speed trans. Health problems in past few years has gotten in the way when we were in Indiana as we fulltimed.

RE: B+ motorhomes

Trip to Florida last month was uneventful. All went well with the B+ and trailer. B+ now parked at our place in Polk City. Since then we made another trip to Indiana and brought the Miata down to it's new home. Three day trip back, we did the Tail of The Dragon through the TN and NC mountains, great views, with and 318 turns in 11 miles. height=200 width=300 This Saturday we fly to Ft Wayne IN for a great niece's graduation party. Monday we pick up a Penske rental truck for hauling the last stuff out of storage. Hope to be back for Granddaughter's Birthday "Parade" in Melbourne FL Friday evening.

RE: Cooper Tires

On 2nd set on our 2004 B+ ..took the 1st set to Alaska in 2013, did great no problems. Ran them for almost 20 years on my company cars, got 60,000 to 70,000 miles per set with out any failures with using a set per year.

RE: RV service

Charger Enterprises on County Road 6 in Elkhart, has been our go to service company for 15 years. Good people without a bunch of hype, just do the job or can refer you to someone who can do it. We use National Refrigeration in Shipshewana for cooling and our Norcold refrigerator service needs for the past 10+ years. Leon is great and very reasonable in price compared to others.

RE: B+ motorhomes

Just got the R-Vision 213 out of storage yesterday afternoon. Other than a bad valve stem extension, all is well, took care of that and inflated tire. It's in a campground now with the refrigerator cooling down waiting on us to return a rental car to the South Bend Indiana airport. Less than $100 rental for us to drive up from our new place in Florida since Monday. Next will be loading up our enclosed trailer for the return trip the end of next week. Plan on replacing the 8 year old tires for the drive back, only have about 20,000 miles on them, with 3/4 of the miles from our Alaska trip of 2013.

RE: Any one flat tow a BMW?

Check with a BMW racing forum...find out how they are getting their cars to the track. Many Miatas in "Spec" racing circuit are towed 4 down. Maybe the same with BMWs.

RE: Front outlets dead

Check circuit breakers on the inverter if you have one...when we lose front power on the passenger side, it's almost always a breaker on the inverter.

RE: NEED HELP MECHANICAL ISSUE (possibly transmission)

As Scottiemom has said a "fuse" was the problem. 1998 Intruder Class A on a F53 Ford chassis ... I know it doesn't make sense...changed a blown "cruise control" fuse and all was well never had the problem again. BTW the television interlock was on same fuse circuit.

RE: Bolt on bigfoot levelers on an e450 chasis

Had them install ours in White Pigeon also...great people, opted for the individual pump per leveler system. Works great on our '06 Phaeton, glad to be without our Atwood Levelegs after 14+ years of annually replacing parts.
