RE: Durango, CO to Baggs, WY

US 550 crosses three high passes between Durango and Montrose. you will be on the outside lane most of the time. lots of climbing, descending and curves. Beautiful, but not something I would enjoy in a big motorhome. There is an alternative route out of Cortez CO but I've never done it...only seen it mentioned here on the forum.
After Montrose, no problem with 71 or 13. There is a nice rest stop sponsored by the Lions club at Rifle, just after you cross over 71 going north into Rifle.

RE: Waste water totes for fresh water

I can't think of a reason against using a new water tote for fresh water, but I would be sure to mark it clearly as potable water ONLY.

RE: I80 in Wyoming to hyw191 to Vernal Utah

191 takes you over a high pass, but it is a long, gradual climb out of Rock Springs. At the top of the pass, there is a really nice campground called Firefighter's Memorial, with water and a dump station.
the descent into Vernal is steep but measured with switchbacks, so just use low gear and watch your brakes.

RE: Pactola Lake campground & Sheridan Lake campground

busy time of year in the Black Hills. many hundreds of motorcycles for the Sturgis Rally. Best to call ahead and try for a reservation somewhere.

RE: Have you ever used all the stove burners at once?

Never have had the need, yet, and not looking for a menu that would require it, LOL.

RE: Nebraska Hwy 2

We used it several years ago. The western part (up to Thedford) is miles and miles of narrow road with small shoulders, and views of sand and sagebrush with a few, off road villages, and not a rest stop in sight. :) We were informed later that the villages offered a rest stop respite had we chosen to explore them.
East of Thedford, there is the Nebraska National Forest with campground, but we didn't explore that either. We headed south toward North Platte.
