RE: 2020 Chevy 2500HD Gas

I just checked the 4.10 when asked about rear end and it said only available with gas. But I was building a 3500. Don’t know if that made a difference. I was able to find my build on a lot 3500HD Diesel Denali 2020.

RE: 2020 Chevy 2500HD Gas

If you build your own truck on GM's web page they still offer th 4.10. But you would probably after order your truck. It is only available in the gas engine.

RE: New Truck and 5th wheel

The 2020 3500HD Sierra SRW has a GVWR of 12100lbs. Cargo capacity of 3670 lbs. towing capacity of 5th at 21200 Lbs. They have been increasing these trucks over the years to handle a lot of these larger fifth wheels. When shopping pay attention to your specs and you will have no issues. For that high of towing your RV will need to be a triple axle with no more than 15% pin. Tow it, sure but can it HANDLE it??? Do you really think the Manufacture will post weights on the inside of the door if the truck could not handle it? Stay under parameters of your truck and it will handle it.

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Like SGT Joe said remove brackets before letting slide out. Then put them back on after putting it in

RE: changed out MORyde steps

I was asked by the manufacturer to test the steps. I politely said thanks but no thanks as I am happy with mine. I was as well, decided to try them when my 5er is in storage can not get inside because of the room needed to extend MORyde steps. I also had an instance at a sight I had to move away from concrete patio because the elevation difference between patio and ground I could not close my door.

RE: changed out MORyde steps

I didn't know that glow steps can be store inside or you just modify them. buc, Torklift has developed steps that fold inside the door called the Torklift Glowstep Revolution Uprising. For the OP they work great. For my application they didn't. Yes that is what I have. Brand new design.

RE: Schwintek slide out of whack

Called my dealer and he told me to put the controller in override. Then run slide all the way out and all the way in. Let it rest until led lights on controller stop working. Then try running it out and back in. That appears to have fixed it.

changed out MORyde steps

I changed out my MORyde steps today to the GLoStep Revolution. Hardest part was removing the MORyde steps not easy by yourself. I need to modify some trim work on interior of door. So far I like the travel of these steps. You can adjust an extended outward. No issues with door closing. It appears to have more of an adjustment for unlevel ground. We will be taking it out in a few weeks. so will be able to judge more. https://i.imgur.com/VGO5pYYl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Fm3xkBcl.jpg O know by putting the carpet on the treads they will not Glo, but our dog needs the carpet to go up and down. I am a few pieces short right now will be picking some up soon.

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Well what a disappointment. With all the hype on the Cleveland Browns during the off season with all the addition of players. They certainly laid an egg yesterday. The enthusiasm leading up to the game was something we had not seen well we never saw. The first possession was great marched right down the field and scored a touch down. Then they tried the extra point and missed. It was all down hill after that. No discipline on the field what so ever. 182 yards in penalties in excusable. :o :M :h

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Well Burch, I feel your pain. :p I came to the realization a long time ago that RV service departments in general are to be avoided at all costs, if possible. I am guessing that your best bet is to try and research and analyze your problem(s) and then, hopefully, try and fix it yourself. I am not joking when I say that if your RV, or any RV, goes into the RV service department for one problem, it will probably be returned with two.:E :B

Do you hold the switch down until it shuts off? Yes

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Burch did you check the inside of the facia plate on the slide. Sometimes they use that wide white tape there. But of the did not caulk the edge of facia and tape water can get in there and run down the wall. I had that happen to me. Once I caulked all the inside of the facia plate on all the slide no more issue.

Schwintek slide out of whack

I have a slide that is out of whack. I have tried running slide inane out 3 times to regime. I have also tried extending slide all the way and running it in and out 8 to 10 inches 3 times. I have also run it in all the way and extended it 8 to 10 inches 3 times. Non of this has worked. It still is out of whack. What can I do to get it back in time?

Ricahard glad to hear you are feeling better. Few more days with the catheter, then all that's left is healing.

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

We will get some relief from the heat for the next few days. It will feel like fall. In the low to mid 70's. We will be taking the 5th wheel to my nieces property over Labor Day weekend. They have water and electric there. Several family members bring the campers out to relax and have fun.
