RE: Bedroom AC?

It really depends on your trailer whether it is ducted or not. As for ours, we are with Gearitis: Mine is not ducted. So we place a fan and blow it down the hall and stairs. Makes a BIG difference. X3

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Just got back to Elkhart from Indy. A long 7 hours driving time today. Terry is doing better. . . the fluid is coming off. The doctor did increase the one drug which kickstarts the lasix. It's what has been getting rid of the water this week and he wants to see that continue. That is temporary until the water comes off. His blood work was good. They called to say that everything is stable and the kidney tests have actually improved. Whoo hoo! He is feeling better. Thank you all for your prayers and best wishes. Dale Good to hear that Terry is getting better. Our prayers continue to go out to all.

Bluegrass PArkway

Can anyone tell me how traveling this road is with a 43' fifth wheel. If I decide to travel it would be between Elibethtown Kentucky and Lexington Kentucky. Or would I be just as well to stay on I-65 to I-265 over to I-75. Only a few miles different.

https://i.imgur.com/N4gmxo2l.jpg https://i.imgur.com/tuz7jFpl.jpg This is at Riverside Park, it is the gentlemen that takes care of the grounds. I was in the process of shooting a video of another taken off with just the backpack version. But he crashed in the process so I had to quickly stop and run over. To him to see if he was hurt. Fortunately he was not. We saw the Hatfield and McCoy show Wednesday night. We thought it was a great show. The meal was served in buckets and was all you could eat. But we could not even eat what the gave us. Food was great.

Charles you and Charlotte are in our prayers hoping all goes well with her surgery. I did make it to the top of Clingmans but just could only get half way up the concrete overlook before the chaos struck me.

We saw the Hatfields and McCoys last night. It was a good show with lots of laughs. Food was great also.

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Dan, did you walk up to the observation tower on Clingmans dome? That was really beautiful, but I'm not sure my knee would let me make the walk now.. I tried to walk up it. I am terrified of heights. I seamed to get half way up. Then my legs started shaking and I started to get dizzy so I stopped and waited for the Grandson to go up and take some pictures. Thanks to Mountainbird the little black bugs has been identified. It appears to be called the Yellow Poplar Weevil. ( flying tick ) it is harmless to humans. Sounds like it is another tree killer.

RE: MORryde step question

My only suggestion is one you've already arrived at. Put some blocks down to lift the whole coach off the ground. Interesting thought about lifting the whole rig. Definitely could work if you carry enough blocks. The challenge there is if the rig has a leveling system- you're more likely to run out of stroke on the legs. I always add blocks under leveling system so I don’t come close to running out of stroke.

RE: MORryde step question

My only suggestion is one you've already arrived at. Put some blocks down to lift the whole coach off the ground. Well that is assuming you can't just park the RV another foot away from the concrete patio so the steps can come out fully. That is what I have done. But it would be nice to step out of coach onto the patio.

RE: MORryde step question

I carry a 3ft piece of wood to put under legs,then I also have a small 24x24 platform I bring. Its made of 2x6 so works great Ok I don’t understand how that will help! The concrete pad is higher then the ground so if I park so steps come out on concrete they do not come out far enough to be able to close door. Only solution I can see is to put boards under tires to raise coach higher before using auto level.

MORryde step question

We have the MORyde steps. We are staying at a park that has a concrete patio but gravel spot. The patio sits up higher then the gravel spot 4 to 6 inches. I could not park so steps are on the patio because I could not get steps adjusted to be able to close the door. Next time is there something I can do to make this work? I thought about replacing them but I would have to cut the skirting directly under the door not wanting to do that.

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Richard I know Monday can't come fast enough for you. Sure hope they can get you fixed up. We are at Riverside RV park in Sevierville. They made some changes to the park. They added a fenced in doggie park in the big field . They closed in the Pavalion, it looks like they put doors on all the openings. We have our Grandson with us and he wants to do everything. Originally we were scheduled to leave on Sunday and head to Nashville, with everything he wants to do we extended our stay here until Wednesday of next week now. We are seeing these little black bugs. To me look like a deer tick. We went to the park yesterday and the Grandson and I went up clingmens dome. These little bugs were all over the rails some say they were ticks and others said they were not. They said they saw them fly. I did not they are about the size of the pusher on a pen and shaped like a tick. We will just have to keep a good eye out for them.

RE: Out the window

These stories are just awful. We never roll our windows done with our little one in the back seat so she can stick her head out. Also she is tethered in with the seat belt.
