RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

I watched that interview about the vaccine. Yes it will take a good while before everyone that wants to get vaccinated can get it.

RE: back up and side view cameras

The cameras will display and time out after 8 seconds. Unless I am in reverse the camera will stay on until I go back to drive then switches to front camera until I exceed 8 miles per hour. If I have a back up camera on the trailer and a camera inside the trailer. Both wired and plug into my trucks bumper camera port they will stay on all the time if I choose.

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Dale, sounds like a perfect match!! We agree sounds like a great choice. Our first Pomaranian was an older dog. I believe she was around 8 or 9 when we adopted her. She was rescued from a woman that had over 50 dogs. The poor girl only had 1 eye and a broken rear leg that was never set and healed the wrong way. She took to my wife immediately. She was so loving.

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

We beat you by a couple of weeks, we had our first on Oct 18. But, it was less than yours, just enough to put a slick cover on leaves. Enough that I ended up on my rear :) I've forgotten how to walk on snow. I'm not looking forward to being in this stuff all winter. Hope you get the warmer weather we're supposed to have the rest of the week (up to 70 for a high by Sat). We did get the warmer weather. Yesterday was the 4th day in a row we hit 70. It looks like we will have highs in the 70's through Tuesday.

RE: back up and side view cameras

To my knowledge the cameras are wired through Jayco’s system. The RV has its own WiFi system and the camera comes with a small monitor for the truck that works with head lights on. But I trying to figure out if I can utilize the cameras with the Truck display.

back up and side view cameras

Just ordered a new fifth wheel with a factory installed back up camera and side view as well. Is there a way that I can connect these to my camera system in my 2020 GMC Sierra with out rewiring the cameras? If so this would be a lot better then viewing them through an additional monitor.

RE: Fifth Wheels with an onaboard Onan

We have Jayco NorthPoint with a built in Onan generator. Runs off of propane and it came with 3 40 lb propane tanks.

We had a first snow of the season yesterday. Not much but it was coming down. All the roof tops where snow covered this morning.

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Good morning FOOFs We are camping in Navarre Beach Florida in the Santa Rosa RV resort. This place is a little pricey but it is very nice. We have a spot on the water. This is our first week off since last October when we traveled to Sevierville. I am hoping that work leaves me alone this week. We are planning a trip to Destin today to do some touristy things and eat lunch. There is an Irish pub that we are going to. On Mondays they have a Sheppards pie special so I'm going to try that. Not sure what else we will do this week. We will be heading back home on Friday. I wish this wasn't so far from our home as we really like this area and would come up here more often but it's 500 miles from us. With only having 3 weeks of vacation time, it really limits how far we can travel from home. I hope everyone is doing well. Burch Burch we stayed there in 2014 in Winter for a week or so. Was on site 2 on the water. My wife follows them on Facebook and they have made some upgrades since we have been there. I really would like to go back. Maybe someday.

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Dale Wow glad you guys came through with serious damage or injury. We have heard same things about people messing with our rigs at rest areas or fuel stops. I put a padlock to lock my hitch so no one can tamper with it. I always do a walk around and check things before we leave when we stop. I had a cargo door come open when we were in Idaho a few years back. Fortunately we did not loose anything from inside. Stay safe out there.

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

August is half over. Labor Day 3 weeks away. Camping season for us this year was waisted with the fear of the virus. Don’t know about Winter travels yet. With a surge of new cases and a second wave still expected don’t really know what the future will bring. Sounds like even if a vaccine is ready not many are interested in getting it. Maybe just maybe 2021 will bring a healthier year and more of normal life. What ever that will be.

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Just found out my sister n law has Brain Cancer. She had lung cancer and had a lung removed January 2019. They said they got it all. She was getting scans ever 3 months. Don't know how they missed the Brain. She fell a couple of times a week ago. They thought she had a stroke. After the MRI they saw 3 tumors on her brain. One is pushing on her nerves that makes her arm and leg go numb. Wednesday they are going to try and shrink them with a gamma knife. Please send prayers her way. Thank you.

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Richard glad yo made it home safely. Sorry that you received a bad report about your health. Even though you are not able to drive does not mean you can not travel. If Sue is willing to drive let her. If not the truck and 5er then a class C like Sgt. Joe said or another Motor home. Dale you guys have really been busy and brave. This virus really has us thinking about everything we do. We don't do much except go to grocery store.
