RE: Short Beds w/out Sliding Hitch

Take it for what it is worth but I have a friend with a short-bed Ram and a sliding hitch that he never used for a number of years. After putting two dimples in his truck (one on each side), he decided it best to learn to use his sliding hitch. Just 2-cents from a guy with a long-bed Chevy;). Happy Camping!

RE: I-40 West of Memphis

Have traveled that route a number of time, last time was last fall. Though there is a good amount of truck traffic, I have always found the truckers to be very considerate, as a whole, and much more so on this road as opposed to other "super slabs". I don't know why this is but all the insanity seems to simmer down the moment I am on I-40. Take it for what its worth and have a great trip! Happy Camping!

RE: Family meet up in Arkansas

Can't give specifics about that area but I will go along with Arkansas SPs, as a whole. Pretty nice and not too expensive. No "day fees" that run the costs way up (that's why I love my "Texas State Park Pass" :)). Happy Camping!

RE: Ft. Worth to Niagara Falls (Road Trip, No Trailer)

Hey, thanks for all the great suggestions and keep them coming! A couple are already on our list but moist we hadn't thought of. Keep them coming and I'll do some sifting. Happy Camping!

Ft. Worth to Niagara Falls (Road Trip, No Trailer)

Haven't been near this site in a good while. Don't know why but still glad to be poking around again. The wife and I are planning a trip up to Niagara Falls for late summer/early fall. Going to be taking the Interstates for about 95% of the trip and the amount of time on the road is pretty flexible. Would like to know what would be worth seeing on our way up there and on the way back (can always take a different route on the way back and detours to see things are not a problem). As the title says, we aren't taking the "5th" on this trip so we will have more time for sightseeing. Anything y'all can think of will be worth looking into. Thanks for the input and, as always, Happy Camping!
