RE: Tesla Semi truck unveil & test ride set for Oct 26th !

Tesla unveils its new Full Self-Driving computer in detail: ‘objectively the best chip in the world’ So you go back to an article that is 9 months old, indicates that the vehicles are already built with it, roll eyes and comments, and did not acknowledge that Elon had indicated that everybody with this would be making money with their autonomous car today. So feel free to keep hyping Elon. I put my money in the competition and now have a Bolt EV. Tusk said he will have 1 million robotaxies by the end of this year. Anybody........anybody.....fan boi or not believe this? On another note: How much money did Tesla make going forward last year? :B

RE: Trouble with California

That is exactly what I have been saying - the food/Ag Drone has no power to search and his/her only chance to be allowed to search is through the permission of the traveler... a refusal to be searched means that you nor your goods may not enter. If you turn around and drive away then there is absolutely nothing the drone can or should do... Nice weasel out! Isn't that what everyone suggested to the OP and where you lied and scared them sh!tless with psychiatrically paranoid rant that they are "giving up their rights"? You can now raise your pants backup and pretend nothing happened. Actually you can continue on like this guy did. :B

RE: Trouble with California

Navegator I can make the same argument with any number of things. Lets pick illegal drugs. Illegal drugs cost almost a 1/4 of a million lives in the world each year. It also costs over a 1/2 a TRILLION dollars in the US economy. That being said; should be have warrantless searches at all state borders looking for drugs? After all, illegal drugs cost lives AND a lot of money and not just the cost of some fruit. Should we do it at every county line? Neighborhoods? Should we just give police the power to just come into your home without any warrant if they think you have drugs? Maybe we should do away with that pesky 4 amendment? After all, illegal drug use costs us a lot more money than Med Flys ever did and ever will. Maybe the persons that get all huffy and puffy with police searching for drugs without warrants would like to pay some of the tax payers for the loss and the hospitals for trying to save the drug addict?

RE: Carlisle Radial Trail HD tires?

I have had mine for almost 2 years and they have about 6 or 7K on them. They are black and round and to tell the truth for over 40 years with all sorts of cheap tires I've only had one tire blow up and that was from under inflation from a nail. My only complaint is the tread is very low when brand new. They do really make up for it by wearing really good.

RE: Trouble with California

...every lawyer in the USA disagrees with you... :E:S:h:o:@:B That will send the judge rolling on the floor if he hears this. This is worst than pounding the table when your law is weak defense. And you won't even be giving my lawyer brother, who actually agreed with me on the "vehicle exception" cases, to defend me. Nuts! PS - BTW, I'm a bit disappointed you did not use (what you thought are) big words in your latest post. You are slacking! What happen to your theory here YS? Didn't work out too well did it? :B Maybe you or your brother lawyer can learn something from this guy? I don't have high hopes but you never know?

RE: Trouble with California

An Agricultural stop is not the same as an LEO stop so refusing the search and turning around is quite legal. Some advice: Stop digging, you've reached the stupid argument level... If you go any further everyone else here will stop giggling and start pitying you.... Is this where you stomp your feet, gnash your teeth and cry out loud (or shout) to forward show your paranoia -- or in the case of a lawyer, bang the table and shout the argument when found with pants down legalese? Actually, this is what I said, you'll be given an option by the border inspector to turn-around. But if he/she somehow suspect that your contraband is more than just fruits, he/she has the option to call LEO either within CA or NV for an interjection. Like they did in a Hells Angels' national gathering in Fontana, they can invoke their rights as much as they want to, meanwhile, they get shackles for resisting arrest after showing attitude for refusing inspection. Yeah, inspectors don't do that, LEO's job. Now you can go back to stomping your feet and having a tantrum. Or, calm down, this is just a debate. And you are actually doing us a favor if you don't do your camping in California as we are having difficulty getting reservations ourselves in the nearby states. LOL, did the people in the links I posted have to turn around? LOL

RE: Towing questions

Sounds reasonable to me, but not to a lot of people. Limiting real world factors are suspension (easy to upgrade by many different means) and tires/wheels, which you have moderately upgraded. You need the best shock absorbers you can buy and likely will need to add air springs. Agreed. OP I have the same truck as you and I put Bills on years ago and when I updated my trailer to a 12K gross. I added bags and never looked back. Both were good moves.

RE: My perception on real gas

Maybe I should tell my buddy to change his car from an alkie car to a gasoline car if gas makes more power. There is a reason alkie makes more power than gasoline. Especially in supercharged cars. Alkie has O2 in it and gasoline does not. Alkie (or gasoline with alkie) also has higher octane which does wonders with power on supercharged vehicles.I have a pure apple to apples experience on this. In 97 or so, I joinned a sprint car race team. In the begining we ran a mini sprint, and the rules allowed either gas or alcohol. The car we had ran on gas. Power was not an issue. There were only 2-3 gas powered cars running, and we had the only consistant front runner. It was a bit of a hassle, as the alcohol guys were suspicious of the gas guys. When we had a good night there was always a challange as to our fuel being doctored. We had to have it tested often, always passing the test. We soon went to alcohol, partly because of the hassle, but mostly because the motor just ran too hot on gas. The alcohol carbs were huge, and the consuption skyrocketed, but the motor ran nice and cool. The consenusus was that the volume of alcohol was shedding more heat out of the exhaust. IDN, but I do know that power was not an issue with either fuel..It just took a LOT more alcohol to do the job compared to gas. Yep Dog, we had sort of the same thing going on. On cool days our gas engine could hang with the alkie boys. But in the hot weather we would flat out get left off of the turn. They would pull a lot harder because the alkie had it's own O2 on board the fuel unlike our gas. We also ran carbs so it would intercool the manifold which gave them even more power. The alkie boys had a hard time to keep their handling in check because they burned twice the fuel (methanol) and that would upset the handling of the car later in the race. They would burn twice the fuel and upset their handling but they would also make more power. Just like life. Give and take. OP here is a good article on gas & alkie. (Yes I know this is about methanol and the E in E10 is ethanol. And you will get more power out of methanol than ethanol for the reasons you get more power out of ethanol than gasoline.)

RE: My perception on real gas

Please stop saying incorrect things like: You're correct that you "can" make more power with oxygenated fuel in alot of applications. Do you not get it? Did you not read the article I supplied. There is no "alot of applications." Any motor WILL make more power if you give it more 02 and fuel in any given time. PERIOD! A motor does not know if it's in a motorhome or if it's in a chainsaw. It does not matter if it is an 049 Cox motor powering a model airplane or if it's a 500 inch prostock motor. The more 02 it gets the more power it will make. You can post straw man argument about tuning or certain cams or compression ratio's or whatever. All of that makes NO difference because the more 02 you can give a motor the more power it will make. Period! E10 is an 02 fuel so it WILL give you more power on ANY engine. E85 will give you even more power and methanol will give you even more power and nitro will give you even more power..... (BTW all engines made now days have EFI which will always keep it in stoichiometry. They arn't even close to 100% duty cycle on the injectors so no you won't top your injectors out with E10) If you disagree, fine. Post any legit article and I will read it. Don't let your ego stand in the way of your education.

Alkie has O2 in it and gasoline does not. Alkie (or gasoline with alkie) also has higher octane which does wonders with power on supercharged vehicles. You're 100% not comparing apples to apples. While your statement is correct, for the application(s) you're referencing, you're just baiting the crowd with it in the context of the thread.....and your wrong in this context. LOL, really? Here's a statement I will make: ANY engine from -1/8" cubic inch to 10,000 cubic inch + will make more power if it gets to burn more O2 AND fuel in any given time frame. IOW's if a liquid fuel has O2 within it's structure, (like alcohol, and nitro does) it will make more power than "straight gasoline" EVERY SINGLE TIME in ANY engine. E10 is an ox fuel. That why the EPA invented it. O2 fuels burn better and more complete. The reason you can get more power out of E85 than E10 is the O2 content of the fuel. The same goes for "straight gasoline" and E10. You WILL get more power out of it! It's a given! The reason you get more power out of nitromethane than ethanol is because nitro has over 50% O2 built into it, even though it has way, way, way LESS energy in it. That is why a TFD burns 12+ gallons of nitro in 4 seconds. And that is why you will burn about 3 to 4% more fuel on E10 than "straight gasoline" but you WILL make more power with any ox fuel. Here is a little article about Oxygenated fuels and how they can make more power in ANY engine.

RE: Oil headed for 70 bucks s barrel. Here we go.

The bottom line is fossil fuel has supplied around 90% of electric power for decades and will continue to do the same for many decades to come.I find the number is 64% Sorry, I don't see nukes as green power. So if you add nuke and fossil together you get close to 90% where it has been for many years.

RE: Oil headed for 70 bucks s barrel. Here we go.

LOL ok, lets talk about renewables. If you can read the chart I posted you will be able to see that renewables were pretty much stagnant from 1980 till today......and they worn't much less before 1980. Fossil fuel have been right around 90% from 1950 to now. The problem with renewables is many. Cost, environmental damage and many more. And yes, there is environmental damage. I live next to the biggest geothermal electric producer in the world. I have several friends and family that works there. Dealing with the heavy metals and poisons that come out of the ground is daunting. Many, many wells have been abandon and capped off because the steam that comes out of the ground is so corrosive it just eats the equipment up. Solar is good except for the land it displaces. Land is expensive and so are solar panels. Hydro electric dams cause many environmental problems and many people want to take built dams down. There will be very few if any dams built in 100 from now. The environmental damage caused by China's new mega dam. Wind power has all kinds of cost problems and environmental problems. The bottom line is fossil fuel has supplied around 90% of electric power for decades and will continue to do the same for many decades to come.

RE: Oil headed for 70 bucks s barrel. Here we go.

Lets look at energy production over 70 years and see how "green" is doing. As you can see, fossil fuel hasn't dropped much at all. In fact more and more and more of all types of energy is used but fossil fuel stays around 90%. Now the type of fossil fuel has changed somewhat. Take for instance coal. It got "legislated out" and it shows. Even though the new admin is ok with coal it's hard to come back because you have sold off all your equipment and shuttered your sites. NG, another fossil fuel, took over where coal dropped off so the fossil fuel % remains around the same as it was many years ago. NG is also a lot easier to get with WAAAAY less man power. Talk all you want about solar. It's only 1% of total production and has stayed that way for a long time. Solar takes a lot of land and Tusk knows this. That's why he does not have any solar at the chargers like he said there would be. https://i.imgur.com/BnHre6Sl.png

RE: Hey Y'all! Have a noob question!

Let me tell you a story. The year before last I went on vacation with my wife. At the end of the vacation she got very, very sick and I had to B-line it home with about a 1/2 a black tank. I had to deal with my wife's illness and didn't have time to deal with the black tank. It sat for 3 months with a "blue bottle" of treatment. I went on a small trip at the end of 3 months. I hooked up the black line and dumped it the first time I got to the campground. I had no problems and no smell. BTW fecal matter is water soluble. It will settle but it will also break down and break up.

RE: Oil headed for 70 bucks s barrel. Here we go.

BTW, solar is 1% of the total of renewables. 1%! Wow a total 1%. Even Elon's Giga 1 in Nevada does not have a total solar roof like he promised. Wonder why that is? Oh ya, because it's expensive AF even for a person that owns his own solar company!

RE: Oil headed for 70 bucks s barrel. Here we go.

Coal is down around 21 percent. Chart looks about 3 years out of date. Oh wait. It is. Lol. Yes it is because Coal is expensive to get and move. NG is a lot easier. But NG is still a fossil fuel. Say anything you want but both charts show that Fossil and nuke changed LESS than 1% 7 years! You want me to go back further? I will if you want! :B If it stays the same, my childrens childrens, children will be driving with fossil fuels. Thanks for playing though. :B

Then why did you even ask when you already know the answer? LOL because I wanted to show people on here how wrong your aaaaaaaa facts are. LOL Read, you make them up!
