RE: Mt Rushmore and Yellostone National Park

Fishing Bridge RV Campground has full hookups and is right in Yellowstone National Park. It has recently been refurbished. Make reservations now.

RE: When a sale is not a sale

Maybe you should look into selling it on consignment. It would be a whole lot less hassle.

RE: Long Road trip

We have been on several long road trips in two different motor homes, a fifth wheel, a travel trailer, and four different tent trailers. I enjoyed driving the motor homes most and we enjoyed traveling I’m the motor homes more than other rvs. Pulling the tent trailers was great because we had the kids with us.

RE: Thor or Forest River - Warranty and reputation

My brother has owned two Forest River RVs that proved haste maker was correct. My son has a travel trailer made by the same company and it is very poorly constructed.

Yellowstone vs Custer State Park

We have always wanted to visit Custer State Park. We made the mistake of going to Yellowstone first. We must have seen 300 buffalo, although we didn’t count them, as well as other critters. Then we went to Custer State Park. We saw three buffalo and we did count them. It’s a beautiful state park, but visit it before Yellowstone.

FMCA has that service. But you must be a member.

RE: 35-foot fiver in Grand Canyon Mather?

Go to Trailer Village Campground in the Park. Plenty of spaces to hold your fiver. Make reservations.

RE: Flaming Gorge to Page Az. Monument Valley, Escalante NP

Goulding’s is probably the best campground in Monument Valley. Most likely the only one with full hookups. Have a great trip!

RE: Need advise on which new truck - 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton?

I would recommend going with the bigger truck because you may find out that the Rockwood is too small and you want a bigger trailer or fifth wheel.

RE: Inside storage/towing length

Go for the bigger one. You will most certainly regret it later if you don’t. Just do a little bit more practice towing and backing in your local large parking lot.

RE: Yellowstone area update

We were there the day before yesterday. I have never seen it so crowded. Every campground was full. We stayed in Gardner, Montana at the Rocky Mountain RV Park. It was excellent.

RE: Another Mile, Another Day

We like 300 mile days. We will often have to go further, but never over 400 miles. We only travel budget for diesel and campground costs. If an RV Park seems too expensive we find another. We don’t budget for food because we buy food even when at home.

RE: Another roadside assistance question

What did we do before God made cell phones? We walked to the nearest phone to call for help or we waved down a passing motorist.
