RE: New Class C - murphy bed question

It may close but may not stay closed due to the weight of the topper.
Try one and see. Report back. Others may want to know.

RE: Securing a Camper Trailer Stabilizing Jack

If you are worried about the screws, get some bolts and lock washers.

RE: Black Tank Help Needed

Put a yardstick in the toilet to feel the bottom of the tank. Pull it out. You will KNOW the level.
Quit buying chemicals to put in the tank.

RE: Previous Owner Painted the Gelcoat - What to do?

Well he said they did not paint the graphics.
You might try a plastic scraper, or 800 grit paper, very carfully.
Maybe take it to a body shop and see what they recommend first.

RE: Need help w/ new awning installation

Just from looking at the picture I would say you have a frame at the back corner, either side of the door and windows and front corner. Maybe one in between the two windows.

RE: Help making a decision on truck purchase.

You won't notice any improvement in gas milage going froma 2500 to a 1500.
They are the same size. Different weight capacity. The Ford ecoboost might be a good choice. They seem to get better mileage than the V8's.
That said, I think any 5th wheel will pull better with a 2500. You will be close to max cargo weight in most 1500's.

There are other places to buy a trailer. If HF doesn,t want to sell you one, move on.

RE: Seven States to Ban the Sale of Gas Powered Cars in 2035

More ignorant politicians jumping on the BS green wagon. IF it happens 2034 will be a big sales year for ICE vehicles.
The dummies haven't said what happens to the ICE you own. Will you have to sell out if state? Wil the trade-in be worth nothing because the dealer can't sell the used unit?
If the law only applies to new units, the price of used is going to sky rocket (more than it already has).
Even if enacted ICE units will be on the road till 2055 or later.
I'll stay in Iowa where common sense prevails.

RE: Camping With Toddlers

A three year old can sleep on a dinette bed. Roll a big blanket up and place it across the open side if it will make you feel better.

RE: How to install stuff on walls

When I hung mini blinds I cut a piece of paneling 2" wide by the length of the blind. Sand an area on the wall where the same size as the blind and glued it to the wall with contact cement. You only have one shot at getting it the right place. Then drill a pilot hole and mount the blinds. That gives you twice the thickness of paneling to screw into. Glue on the screws also helps hold.

RE: Discount RV furniture source?

What "RV furniture" are you looking for?
Most furniture in RVs are junk. Go to furniture store with the measurments of where the furniture goes and shop around.
Discount furniture? Try the thrift stores.
