RE: Yellowstone vs Custer State Park

Got caught in a bison jam at Custer State Park two years ago. Must of been a hundred of them, some close enough to touch. The year before that we never saw a single one.

RE: fan Clutch on Diesel

It sounds to me that in one of the 4 clutch replacements , some one bent the fan blades. The fan is causing the problem by being out of balance.

RE: New RV owner needing part numbers

Call Georgie Boy with the VIN number they might be able to help. You won't get a build sheet, doesn't exist, but they might tell you which chassis you have and engine and trans. Or take the belts and hoses off and go to a good parts store, not Autozone, and see if they can match them up.

Go lay down for a nap, they will wake you up soon. Or start lunch, that should work also.

RE: Planned trip

Go to the states websites for the latest updates on state parks. Check the National Parks websites for the updates on those. Most private RV parks are open. Do your home work and GO!

RE: Foolish Things We’ve Done as Kids

When I was 10 years old we lived at the top of a 3 block long hill with a city park at the bottom. We kids would ride our bikes as fast as we coud down the hill with plenty of room at the park to stop. One day I saw an abandoned grocery cart beside the road and thought, "COOL RIDE". Hopped in and started down the hill. I soon found out you can't steer a grocery cart from inside and you pick up speed fast. I made it about 1 block before crashing into the curb and then a tree. Broke my arm, dislocated a shoulder, and scrapes all over. Somebody called the police and ambulance. Got patched up at the hospital, then home to face my Dad when he got home from work. Grocery store wanted $45 for the broken cart. Dad just shook his head and mumbled but he set that cart in my room as a reminder of the stupid trick. It stayed there the rest of the summer.

RE: To Upgrade TV or Not

Does he have "P" rated tires currently? An upgrade will make a huge difference.

RE: PRICE DROPS coming on new GM small diesels

It makes me wonder why a price drop on a new engine. Slow sales maybe? Other GM engines use the same stupid belt arrangement, what engineer thought that up?

RE: Dodge 1500b van

DODGE. Dem Old Dudes Go Everywhere. The old Tourqueflite transmission was the best ever made, strong as an ox. The bodies are another story, rust is your enemy. I had a Dodge van that the rear spring hanger came thru the floor because the mounts rusted.

RE: Food!

Most RV's have a stove and a microwave. The only reason they are installed at the factory is to be used by the owner. Many meals can be ready to eat in about 15 to 30 minutes, from scratch. GET A COOKBOOK! Start cooking yourself, if your wife isn't "into" cooking. Try this on: Brown two chicken breasts in a frying pan in butter, when browned and a little water and simmer till cooked thru. Sweet potato in the microwave. Chop some lettuce and veggies for a salad. Eat. If that's too much work, I guess your going back to Mickey D's.
