RE: Locks on Propane tanks?

Propane Compartment doors are NOT suppose to be locked (easy access to service valves if needed)Just about every fifth wheel has propane in the lockable front compartment or lockable side compartments. I see no reason for public access.Neither of our two fifth wheels or two others I'm familiar with have locking doors for the propane access. X2 Every 5er I have owned or looked at didn’t have locks on the propane access doors.x3, NO locks!

RE: Batteries stopped charging

WARNING: do be aware that it is essential that the solar charge controller be attached to the battery at all times when the solar panels are attached. That is, disconnect the solar panels BEFORE disconnecting the battery, and reconnections the battery BEFORE connecting the solar panels. Charge controllers cannot be attached to the panels without a battery lest the controller be damaged.Hummm, I unhook my fuse from controller to batteries to kill the solar input whenever I am on shore power, been doing that for years without issue, otherwise solar kicks on every morning and overcharges the batteries which are already up and in float mode. Maybe I've just been lucky. If inverter/charger is not charging would check fuses on inverter first.

RE: Awning trouble.. Please help!

Find the connector to the motor, should be on the arm close to the roller under a cover, unplug it and plug it back in, could just be a bad connection. Had that happen on mine once and that fixed it.

RE: Snowbird Report Card

we were told by some that this winter in SW AZ was the coldest since 1993. Don't know if that is true or not but it was colder than the previous 3 years there. Still a lot better than being at home!

Anyone using Sailuns

on their dually? 235/80/17 figured if they were good enough for a trailer they must be good for the tow vehicle. Any real life experience?

RE: Tire pressures during temperature swings

I set mine at 122 in the morning and usually see temps in the 145-150 range but once going from high altitude and cold temps to lower and hot temps tires went from 122 to 165 according to TPMS.

RE: Sailun Tires on Sale

I was by a NTB in Houston checking on the G rated Sailun tires for my trailer. They showed no price and when they called the warehouse to check on them, they said all of the Sailun tires had been returned to the reason why. Could thsi be a quality issue or possible the trade tariffs with China. In any case, I guess, I'll forgo looking farther for Sailun tires. KenSimple tire has them on their web page, just search for Sailun, then pick the S637 from the list on the right side of the list, left side has the 16's, right side list the 17.5 and others.

RE: It's getting easier

I use a stick on level that has a slider bar so I can set the bar when I unhitch and just put the trailer back to where I unhitched it to hitch up.

RE: Differential Lube for 2016 Ram CTD 2500

I have a 3500 pulling heavy so I run 75/140 severe duty. There is not much difference in the weights you mention, go with either.

RE: Winter temp

If it's going to be below 28 for more than 4 hours and the trailer is outside, winterize.

RE: RDS Tank?

I use a 95 gal gravity feed tank, works great and just pulled 700 miles without stopping for fuel, only get around 8.0 so this works for me. Love being able to get fuel when I want, not when I have to. Wouldn't trade it for the world. Saved almost 1 dollar a gallon on fill up. Kind of makes it all worthwhile but even if I didn't save any money it makes it so much easier to get fuel when you want to.
