RE: Help planning trip to include Delaware

Here is a pretty place to stop. It is just north of Delaware in PA Longwood Gardens Along the way from Ohio, you could stop at the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, PA. Or Gettysburg, PA. Or The National Watch and Clock Museum WNYBob

RE: Great Tow Capacity - Bad Payload Capacity... Increase PL?

You can't change the sticker weights ( just ask the weight police on here). There is a lot that goes into those numbers, axel, breakes and transmission to name a few. Yes you can add air bags other spring assists but willit be safe and stop you?

RE: Sit rep on “new” camper after first trip.

Noisy springs, it could be 5h3 OEM bushings! Most are plastic. I would suggest bronze replacements an HD shackles. Should do the trick. I also up graded the equalizer to a Dexter EZ-Flex (you could go with others like Mor-Ride) to soften the ride. P.S. I found suspension upgrades lessens sway.

Cooling fans for external coils.

I've just installed 4 cooling fans in the exhaust hood of my refrigerator (Dometrics DM2652RBX). I have the standard installation of the refrigerator (not in a slide) I used 4 ARCTIC F14 Silent - 140 mm Case Fans with a LM YN DC 12V Digital Thermostat Module. This arrangement cooled the exhaust Air by 30°F. I'm happy! I also purchased a lazer/infrared temperature gun. Now the question is what temp should I set the controler as a low temp setting? There is nothing proprietary in this posting, it just describes what I did to my TT as a DYI project. TIA WNYBob

RE: Ney York road trip questions

They have replaced the western section I believe. It's a pretty drive. A quick stop is the light house & small museum in Golden Hill SP. Other stops are Niagara Power Vista at the hydroelectric plant, with a unique view of the river. Then Joseph Davis SP for Disk Golf, if you are into that. And also Fort Niagara fir lots of history, the only fort under 3 flags. Do you know which ones? WNYBob

RE: Using a roku while camping

We have used ours the entire weekend successfully. We have T-Mobile @ Niagara Lazy Lakes Campground near Ransomville, NY. I've been getting 5G quite consistently. Good cell service is a must, so it depends on your cell reception. A few weeks ago we were at Letchworth, SP near Perry, NY and had no cell service and no WIFI. So it depends. WNYBob

RE: Maintaining air pressure in your tires

A TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) will give you even more peace of mind. I bought mine online for about $30, yes it's Chinese, but it caught 2 flats caused by valve stem failure (I nowhere new metal valve stems)p PM me if you want more info. Not affiliated but a happy camper.

RE: Bonehead Blunder, I'm an idiot!

You didn't even cross the safety chains! You need to do this to cradle the hitch if it does come loose!

RE: I hate roundabouts -- but maybe I am wrong

We have one that is a double! One exit is the entrance to the second one! Most people have issues with one circle and stop at the yield, they are totally lost with back to back roundabouts.

RE: The importance of a TPMS Tire Pressure Monitoring System

I put external TPMS on my new to me TT (2014). On my last 2 trips I had a flat tire on each trip. The TPMS worked and warned me and I safely pulled over and changed the tires with the spare, which I had repaired after the first flat. Now for the warning to all! Do not put external TPMS sensors on older rubber valve stems! Both flats were from failed valve stems. I have replaced all my rubber valve stems with metal ones.

RE: trailer brake issue

Don't use dielectric grease! Use contact cleaner / lube.
