RE: Is the Good Sam Club worth it?

I use my Good Sam card with my Gas Buddy card at Flying J and get both discounts on gas!

RE: Making A Warmer Truck Camper Bed

When I had my TC, I used Harbor Freight's fatigue mat. They are 3/4" thick flexible foam and they interlock. It adds insulation and a little cushion.
Worked great for the low cost.

RE: Tesla with a generator on a hitch haul

This is almost as funny as the post of a "Help Truck" towing a trailer with a diesel powered generator, setup to charge stranded EVs.

RE: Finding a TT that does not have Bunkhouse

We found a lightly used (and probably stored indoors)
2014 Evergreen Ascend 231RKB. It gives us just enough room for 2 grandkids. We love it.
If you find an older TT check it carefully and often. It had no delam when we purchased it, but showed delam after 6 months outside in the weather of WNY! I had to remove and reseal the clearance lights.

RE: Removing built up sealant?

I used an oscillating tool with a blade on it. Be careful not to scratch the fiberglas with to much pressure. Then finish with a plastic putty knife and solvent.
Take your time.
Good luck.

RE: T mobile Internet

I've used the hot spot on my Samsung S20 and have not been real happy. If my wife is also on a hotspot on her phone, then mine slows down or drops.
I'm thinking of getting then system I mentioned above next camping
season.

RE: T mobile Internet

Two things
1. T-Mobile is great when you have signal, if no it's zero! It's all or nothing.
2. You need to buy their 5G box and the SIM card for the data line for the box.
T-Mobile M2000 HotSpot
A friend at my membership campground wanted to work on line and the campground's WIFI was poor to non existent. He bought the above and was very happy with it. He said it was very user friendly to set up and use.

RE: Removing old caulk after softening it

I replaced my skylight and of course it had lots of Dicor sealant. I removed the sealant with a blade on my oscillating tool. Now my roof is fiberglas, if you material is "rubber" roofing you may damage with this tool.

RE: Tow Dolly Woe

Most owners neglect utility trailers until something goes wrong, and then it is terrible to fix or get parts. In short they don't want the headache.

RE: plastic sky light over shower

Most skylights are actually two domes, an inner and an outer.
And I replaced only my outer (after setting something on it and popping a large hole in it).
If you remove both inner and outer, and then place a flat sheet for the outer, you will have the roof support exposed, which wouldn't look good.
IMHO

RE: Labels for wire bundle that won't fall off

I use a Brother P-Touch Cube Smartphone Label Make. It uses a smartphone app to create labels that are water proof.
and zip ties that have a place for labels. Monoprice Marker Cable Tie 4 inch
Both available on Amazon.

Here is what I used in my roof exhaust. 4 fit perfectly. I can not hear them. They do not move a lot of air, but work in my application.

Try to turn off the "auto idle mode"
It is a kind of economy setting. Like lower watt output.

Don't use dielectric grease. (Google it's definition it's not what you want)
Use Contact Cleaner and Lubricant.

RE: Opinions on best anti theft hitch lock type device.

I just use a old hitch ball that has the shank cut off and a a hardened lock on the all clamp.
Inexpensive and difficult for someone to clamp on ad take your TT

RE: Air Shocks or Air Bags on TT

This is a topic I like as I believe I corrected.
My 7 to 9 year old TTs I did the following.
Removed plastic & thin OEM suspension parts and replaced with HD shackles, brass bushings and wet bolts.
Next I removed the solid metal equalizers and replaced with Dexter EZ-Flex equalizers, that have a rubber cushion in between the springs. (There are other mfg with similar cushioning equlizers)
Better ride and less sway!
