RE: Several questions

That is a wide open question but first it depends on what you have to spend. Hard to make any recommendations. Washer and dryer jumps up the size and cost. Will you just want it to travel or park most of the time? A larger class C or smaller class A has a lot going for it. If just starting out I would recommend looking at a used rv to give it a try.

RE: Dometic Refrigerator cooling

The hottest part of the day it can not keep up with the external heat. Is the refrigerator on the sunny side of the the trailer? Could use some shade if it is.

RE: 15 Amp Service

Run water heater and refrigerator on gas and you are good to go power wise. Fill up onboard water and do not hook up water hose. Pink RV antifreeze in tanks. If using just for sleeping no water needed use plastic bag in toilet bowl for number 2. Gallon water jug instead of water tank.

RE: Need pro

Just keep reading this site every day is best thing you can do. Like everything else full timing is a choice. Some do it with almost no money and some want the best of everything. Where do you fit in?

RE: Repair costs and frequency frustration

Bearing replacement should not cost that much you need to go to a truck repair shop and get a quote. That that much work to replace.

RE: Household refrigerator to replace Norcold N641?

So easy measure the opening and then go shopping. Fine one just a little smaller. Most trim pieces can be adjusted with just a cut or two to close a small gap.

RE: What is the best power inverter for camping?

What do you want to do? How much equipment do you want to run? Best is relative to needs, cost effective? Many quality units around.

RE: Kiplinger: 13 Reasons You'll Regret An RV In Retirement

A very biased opinion and one that only looks at the cost of things. One does not need to have everything new and do everything. Retirement is a time to slowdown and enjoy the important things in life. Start small and give it a try. Get off the expressway and explore side roads so many things to see and do that costs next to nothing. Many many people travel on less than $2000-$3000 a month and enjoy every moment. Not everyone needs all the junk people take with them. I have used tents, popups and large trailers and now have a converted 15 passenger van. I can go everywhere and stop about anywhere. I have heat,ac,water,tv,stove, refrigerator, my own bed and toilet and neighbors if I want them. I carry a small generator and a solar panel. North in the summer and south in the winter.

RE: Wild Frontier Campground in Ocala Florida

I drive 301 all the time and did not even know it was there. I75 is long way away. Good location for everything.
