RE: Trailer Suspension Questions

Might I offer a suggestion? Prior to spending big bucks for a suspension upgrade, have a reputable shop balance your tires. Try it for a while and if you still have the original problem, go with the suspension upgrades. I installed an accelerometer in my Jayco TT and measured before and after dBg readings. Balancing the tires made a substantial difference in lowering the numbers.

RE: Egr dpf delete dodge 6.7

I also have a 2007 6.7 CTD. You can’t just remove the EGR valve as it will throw the CEL on. You have the EGR cooler, the Diesel particulate filters, and the O2 sensors to remove and add the ECM programmer to compensate for all those missing devices.

RE: Anyone here upgraded their headlights?

Some very good responses. People don’t realize that when they replace their halogen bulb with an LED, the light housing isn’t designed to work well with LED’s resulting in blinding the oncoming traffic. Most don’t aim their lights, either.

RE: Campground in Wilmington NC

The only drawback of the KOA in Wilmington is that there’s a self service car wash at the entrance that is high enough for RV’s. It draws me in every time...

RE: Tires

Many, Many and the VAST MAJORITY of trailer manufacturers do not balance the tires on trailers since there is no real reason except to make one feel good to do so. Sorry Larry, I’ve yet to see any trailer manufacturer who balances their tires. Totally a cost factor. There is a reason to balance the tires, and not just to make you feel good. No need for me to expound as it would not make you feel good, and we wouldn’t want that...

RE: Standby Sams

Been a GS member for 12 years, as well as listed as a Standby Sam. Never received any calls which I would have assisted if possible. Too bad as it is a good idea, in theory at least.

RE: Tires

You can't go wrong installing a set of Maxxis M8008 ST tires. They are available in 8 ply rating. Be sure to have them balanced.

RE: Is there something wrong here?

If you have a rack style slide, this is some good stuff to use. Go to YouTube and there are videos on how to Lube it. https://www.campingworld.com/protect-all-slide-out-dry-lube-protectant-17390.html

RE: Ram 2500 Diesel

Please go to this website and check the specs for your particulate vehicle. https://www.ramtrucks.com/towing-guide.html You won’t be lacking power as the 6.7 can handle your trailer. It’s nice everyone is offering advice, suggestions, and opinions, but why not ask the people that designed and built the truck. Go to the website.

RE: Hard time finding a short full mattress.

If you have an Original Mattress Factory near you, check them out. We were Able to sample all their mattresses then chose one which they made to size for our fiver. I wasn’t going to buy a mattress without first laying on it.

RE: Tripod stabilizer

When I use my tri-pod, I drop the front of the trailer down and load the tri-pod. It makes a different when moving around in front, a little when moving around in the rear of the trailer. If I adjust my Strongarms per the instructions and use my tripod, my trailer is very stable.

RE: RVPetSafety vs Marcell

We use RV Pet Safety and it has worked very well for us. It does notify of a loss of AC power. It then monitors battery status. We were out West in 100+ degree weather and it kept us informed of the temperature inside the trailer. Easy to use, reliable, and reasonably priced.

RE: CBD oil

With all the brands hitting the market it’s hard to find one you can trust. I’ve been using CBD oil and a balm from Hempbombs. They use organic industrial hemp, USA grown. The biggest thing is they use a third party for testing. They both have helped me and my family. I’ve read where it can help dogs so check them out. https://hempbombs.com/
