RE: My perception on real gas

I don’t know how you measure your turbo not working as hard, but your engine running smoother is very possible. With today’s engine controls, timing will advance until the knock sensor(s) pick up a signal at which time ignition timing will stop advancing or re-tard the timing. Advancing the timing can produce more power and better performance. Using a higher octane fuel will allow the ignition timing to advance farther before the knock sensors start picking up a signal. Maybe that’s why your engine felt as though it was performing smoother.

RE: In the market for new trailer

Arctic Fox is the best quality on your list and has a very good reputation. It’s probably the most expensive, too. The models I’ve been in are impressive, at least in their craftsmanship. I understand your dealer service location dilemma, but I’d still go with the best built unit..

RE: 2019 Toyota RAV4 FWD

I tried looking in my daughter's owners manual. Not very user friendly!

RE: campground to avoid

Similar complaints on YELP. Seems there’s an old guy in the office with a potty mouth. CG doesn’t sound inviting. Couldn’t find the CG on, no reviews. Must be a popular place.

RE: Landing gear motor.

Hooking up a 2nd motor could probably be performed. How would you synchronize their speed so the landing gears operate at the same speed? I have no idea where the zerk comments come from!

RE: Honda generator oil

I use this in my generator, and all my lawn equipment. Excellent stuff, especially when running my genny for 8 hours, stopping only to fuel. Your generator will thank you. Amsoil 10W30 fully Synthetic small engine oil

RE: Towing with a Toyota Sequoia: wheel size question

Open the driver’s door and look at the tire sticker on the door jamb that lists the tire size and inflation pressures. That’s the size tire you want. As already mentioned, install an LT tire of the same size instead of the P tires that came on the vehicle.

RE: Trailer Suspension Questions

Might I offer a suggestion? Prior to spending big bucks for a suspension upgrade, have a reputable shop balance your tires. Try it for a while and if you still have the original problem, go with the suspension upgrades. I installed an accelerometer in my Jayco TT and measured before and after dBg readings. Balancing the tires made a substantial difference in lowering the numbers.

RE: Egr dpf delete dodge 6.7

I also have a 2007 6.7 CTD. You can’t just remove the EGR valve as it will throw the CEL on. You have the EGR cooler, the Diesel particulate filters, and the O2 sensors to remove and add the ECM programmer to compensate for all those missing devices.

RE: Anyone here upgraded their headlights?

Some very good responses. People don’t realize that when they replace their halogen bulb with an LED, the light housing isn’t designed to work well with LED’s resulting in blinding the oncoming traffic. Most don’t aim their lights, either.

RE: Tires

Many, Many and the VAST MAJORITY of trailer manufacturers do not balance the tires on trailers since there is no real reason except to make one feel good to do so. Sorry Larry, I’ve yet to see any trailer manufacturer who balances their tires. Totally a cost factor. There is a reason to balance the tires, and not just to make you feel good. No need for me to expound as it would not make you feel good, and we wouldn’t want that...
