RE: Electrical help

The pedestal is as much responablefor burning up YOUR plug as anything. a bad, burnt terminal will cause that.
Take a flashlite and look at the pedistal outlet

RE: Macerator pump questions

I love my macerator. Recently I had to replace gaskets on it. You wonder how a little pump can discharge all that waste. The impeller is about 2" in diamiter and 3/8 wide. it pumps through a couple of pencil size holes. why worry about it, just accecpt that it works so well. When we go home I know I can clean out the tank rather than having a treat waiting for me next time I get to a park

RE: Tires...I know, tired subject

i put on 16 wheels and disc brakes at the same time. Which was kinda good. The trucks keep getting higher and that leveled the camper out somewhat. Used a LR E tire. LT tire I dont remember and cant go look size. Had over #700 per wheel spare weight. Still blew tires. The ones I had were Uniroyal USA. No better I really think the twisting and rolling at the same time during parking screws up the cords more than anything else.

RE: Towing a 42 footer… What do you think?

Finding a pull thru is'nt always possible as you well know, or will find out. A friend of mine has one of those Behemouths. He wises it were smaller. Heck, it's our camper and your money. Do what you want. I would just as soon go shorter and I have only 28 ft. Can I assume it's a tri axle? If so it wont's turn as good in parking.More tires to buy, harder on springs and frame as it turns in cramped corners.
