RE: Trailer Tongue Coupler Wear?

This camper is 30 years old so there's no telling what hitches have been used over the years. We have had it for the past 3 years and are using the hitch the previous owner sold with it. I just happened to notice that line/crack - I have no idea how long it's been like that or even if it's supposed to be that way.

Trailer Tongue Coupler Wear?

The other day I pulled the camper out of storage and drove a couple hours with it. After I parked it, I noticed some unusual wear on the ball. It could be due to a lack of grease. Looking up into the coupler, there is a line there and I'm not sure if it's cracked or if it's supposed to be like that. Does anybody know if that looks normal or not? Pictures attached. Thanks in advance! Art width=400 width=400 width=400 width=400

RE: Outdoor Storage and Snow

When I store it, I normally lower the tongue so the water will run off the roof so that should help with the melting snow. I do have a cover for it - will it help, or is it not really necessary?

RE: Outdoor Storage and Snow

When I parked it at the storage lot the other day, I was thinking the same thing - there are hundreds of these campers here all parked outside with no issues.

Outdoor Storage and Snow

We live in southeast Michigan and normally I store the camper in a barn. This winter it will likely be outside. Do I need to be concerned with snow building up on the roof at all? I do have a fabric cover for it - will that help at all? Or do I need to plan to clear the snow off every time it snows? Thanks in advance!
