RE: Arizona Hwy 89 ALT info please

Just don't go on 89A over the mountain, via Jerome, in anything bigger than a pickup truck.

RE: A top to bottom look at green energy

I like the cartoon where the electric car owner is plugged into the charging station that is ultimately tied into a coal-fired power plant where the electricity is generated. Doesn't sound too green to me.

RE: Problem with master closets

Use a child's hanger, lol. Or get a bigger trailer.

RE: Looking for specific floor plan

The fireplace is electric and it works well from my experience. I've also found that many floorplans are shared among the various builders. You're just gonna have to consult the various manufacturer websites. Grand Design is one of the better builders (or was). They're now owned by Winnebago.

RE: Looking for mid bunkroom 5th wheel

Not much better out there than a Grand Design.

RE: Cold weather, water, what to do..

We've done this many times. I disconnect the hose and blow the water out of it. Then I switch over to onboard water until the park's faucet supplies water again. I have about 160 gallons so water isn't an issue. We have electric heaters for the trailer but I still use the propane heater to keep the tanks and water lines from freezing. FYI there are heated water lines on the market that make all of the above moot.

RE: Nashville explosion

I wouldn't count on the FBI finding their way out of a paper sack, lol.

RE: Tiffin Acquired by Thor for 300mil.

Sad part, and I work in the industry, is Thor's reputation for building cheap junk is now associated with Tiffin.

RE: Six-point leveling system -- reduce rocking

If you're using the common LCI system do the following once you have leveled your trailer: Turn on the control box. Scroll up or down till you find 'Manual Mode' and press enter. You can now manually extend the jacks to the height you need. One other idea I incorporated on my toy hauler was adding scissor jacks on the extreme rear of the trailer to add stability when the rear garage/bedroom was occupied.

RE: Towing with a dually or single?need help please

One con to a dually surfaced this evening. Friends and us were towing our RZR's home after dark after a day playing in the sand. They were behind us and texted my wife that my trailer lights just went out. My trailer is 6 feet wide and I can't see it with the dually fenders in the way. I had no idea the trailer lights went out (the umbilical had disconnected from the truck). Glad to have them behind me.

RE: 110V Hookup

The heater is propane so not an electric draw other than the fan. 110 should be fine. If you don't have any Covid symptoms then you don't have Covid. No worries.

RE: Towing with a dually or single?need help please

39 feet and it's only 14000 pounds, really? Mine is 40 feet and 19,000 pounds. 16,500 empty.

RE: Ideal RV space size for new park?

Copy South Forty RV Park in Marysvale, UT. All spaces are pull-through, at least 60' long, all spaces face northeast (so the afternoon sun isn't in your face when you're socializing) and wide enuf to park your SxS next to your RV.

RE: 2021 Fall trip MI to Rushmore then AZ

We went from AZ to Rushmore and MI-UP last October. Weather was beautiful the entire 5,500 mile round trip. We saw some awesome fall colors and a little bit of rain but nothing bad. It was fun wearing a jacket in the UP knowing AZ was still in triple digits.

RE: Overnight stay in California

Who enforces these quarantines, the cops these states are trying to defund, lol? I, and the other drivers at our RV dealership, routinely travel interstate to our other dealerships in Calif and New Mexico to relocate RV's. A trip to Sacramento involves spending two nights in Calif, in different cities, so does that violate the king's quarantine order? We are never confronted by anyone concerning our travel. Seems to me the quarantines have no teeth and we peons are free to go about our business unmolested.

RE: Overnight stay in California

Call the RV park and make a reservation. It's nobody's business what you're doing. It's still a free country and we have guaranteed liberties that one person in Sacramento can't take away. BTW stating a legal opinion is just that, a legal opinion. The mod is not masquerading as legal council. Again it's a free country and we can express any opinion we choose legal or otherwise.

I used Firestone airbags on my 2500. Worked great.

RE: What about driving a diesel pusher?

It blows me away that someone with no Class A experience can buy a big rig and drive away with no training in AZ.
