RE: Best portable heater (30 amp) for my rv?

We use one of the small Walmart ceramic heater with fan. We run it on the lowest setting. It does just fine heating the airstream. It uses about 750 watts and with 30 amp supply we can run other items such as a coffee pot.

RE: Border closure extended

It is clear one OP used a date that was expected and the other poster used a date that was actually set by both countries. So the OP is a little premature in his date. Both individuals are just trying to get it right.

RE: Shearing the sheep

That's my reason for feeling sorry for the new buyers. It appears ,based on history, that there will be two results. Either a default by some or a few stuck with a upside down purchase that will eventually be sold as a big loss. We haven't seen the term "upside down " lately but it's time to dust it off.

Shearing the sheep

I really feel sorry for those new RVers who have recently purchased or who plan to purchase an RV. The prices are far in excess of value. We are not in the market for ourselves but was thinking of buying a teardrop for our daughter and son in law. Just to get them out of a tent. Trailers that had been listed at $12 grand are nearly $21 grand. A teardrop mind you. Even the used units are out of sight. As in the past when this bubble burst a lot of dealers with go belly up and there will be a glut of used units f s b o where maintenance has not been performed. Nature of the beast.

RE: CSA

I disagree. They should be arguing for a closed border. We must stop the spread of this virus. Restrictions in travel is one tool to do that.

RE: Tips for people with back pain

Get to a neurosurgeon. Have MRI. Then discuss your condition and treatment options. You don't have to do anything that you don't want to do after that. Pain pills are not the answer.

RE: Fed up with tire blow outs!!!

264sr you either don't tow much or have been very lucky. Our tire problems have been: the MH picked up a bolt the size of my thumb on the driver side rear inner tire, Our first Airstream had rapid failure which could be called a blow out, the teardrop picked up a piece of steel, the 5th wheel had a sidewall may pop. In half of the cases it was the tires fault, in the other half it is our wonderful roads. We try to run the best available tires and check them daily. If I were the OP I would use light truck tires.

RE: Fed up with tire blow outs!!!

That's why they are known as China bombs. You can also consider light truck tires. Whatever inflate to max when cold. If you go with trailer tires go to E rated.

RE: Propane gennie maintenance in cold winter

Fire and fuel After the cold is past make sure you have a spark at the plug then light your propane stove to make sure your regulator is working and lastly with strong battery try to start the genny.

RE: Propane gennie maintenance in cold winter

A propane gen should not gum up like a gas genny. Do you also run it on gas? If so run the gas out and drain the carb then run some seafoam in it. Put a small amount of light oil in the cylinder. And turn the engine over by slowly pulling crank.

RE: Is a Gas 3/4 Truck and Pop-up Camper Safe in Colorado?

Gas is about 45 cents cheaper than diesel right now. On a 20 to 25 gallon tank that adds up. Gas trucks have a lot cheaper maintenance costs. Less quarts oil. No fuel filter. Much cheaper air filters. When something goes bad with a diesel it is very expensive to fix. Not to mention the difference in initial cost. If I planned to haul stuff across the country each day I was use a diesel. Normal everyday driving and weekend hauling get a gasser.

RE: Newbie trailer owner, quite confused

Do not plug it into any house plug that "looks" like your trailer plug. Use only normal wall plugs that are 120 volts and you should not try to run your trailer Air conditioner on that. If in doubt make sure the plug is NOT 220 volts. When plugged into house plug you can operate all 120 volt items except A C but not all at the same time. Microwave or water heater one at time. As you learn more you will learn what can be run at the same time. This will get you started.

RE: How to tow & push BACKWARDS?

Did you say that a motorized trailer dolly rolling on plywood can't put it in place.

It is always depressing when something like this hits a friend. Give her the most love and comfort your can in the days ahead.

RE: Map App for Phone...?

It appears that you need to enable Google maps. Page 118 of user manual. Best way is to take phone to AT&T store and let them show you how.

RE: Map App for Phone...?

What is an entry level phone. Most entry level smart phones have a map app as part of their standard apps. Are you sure you don't have one?
