RE: 2022 Bronco Raptor Debut

Why bother? Just go buy a Jeep Rubicon and pocket $20,000. Ford did a fair job of copying the Jeep Wrangler.

RE: Missing catalytic converter

If there is no market the thefts would stop. Go after the slime and the buyers and it will stop. They should be required to bring in the rest of the vehicle with the cat.

RE: Help with Mobley device

Now days Visible plan is much more useful. It has unlimited talk, text, and data. And your phone can be used as a Hotspot. It uses Verizon towers and 5g capable if that is important to you. 4 or more people on party pay each pay $25. That's all no 911 fees, no tax, no line fee, no handicap fees for deaf.

RE: Custer State Park. 175 site new camp proposal

This is good news. One of the functions of Government is to provide what the private sector is unable or unwilling to provide. Thus far the private sectors answer to increase demand has been to raise prices and add resort to their name. Few private RV parks have expanded to meet the need.

RE: Towing mileage/capability

Your needs are common. You are asking for more for less. As you go up in comfort and capability you also go up in price. Suggest you look at used Toyota, Hondas, Nissan, chevy colorado, etc. Many will be high mileage and high prices. Now is not a good time to buy. Most in this class will tow 5000 lbs dead weight or 6500 lbs weight distribution. Keep your eyes open and search far and wide. You may just find what meets your needs. Good luck in your quest.

RE: Is the Good Sam Club worth it?

If you camp for a couple weeks per year then yes. At the beginning of the pandemic we let ours expire as we knew there would be a period where it wouldn't be used.

RE: Satellite Dish question

I think one of the problems is that Direct has stopped standard def broadcast in many if not all areas. I understand the boxes are no longer available. We switched to Dish and it was cheaper and high Def with almost the same programming

RE: [email protected] 400 -- comments by those who've seen it??

The Alde system has a history of bubbling or gurgling but once the air is worked out the system is totally silent. Also on our Tab the liquid which is basically antifreeze had to be maintained at a certain level and I think changed every 2 years. There was also an issue of blown fuses but simple to replace. This all goes to my mention of a learning curve.. This system has been used in Europe for years. It is very good even heat.

RE: [email protected] 400 -- comments by those who've seen it??

The heating system is one of the best features but will take some experience in its use. I also think I would like the basement air. A new 400 AND SUV hmm 401k must be prospering. Congrats

RE: [email protected] 400 -- comments by those who've seen it??

We owned a Tab Outback for a very short time. It was the ruggedized version of the regular Tab. It had a very very small wet bath. A very small fridge, sink, and 2 burner stove. To use the bed slats were put in and the cushions laid down. It had air and a hot water heating system. I can't recall tank capacity but I think they were less than 5 gallons fresh and the same for black and gray combined. It was way to small for us. By contrast we now have a 16 foot Airstream Bambi and love it. It has a lot more usable room. The Tab 400 is very expensive for what you get. They are no more rugged than anything else. They are a larger version of the Tab Outback.

RE: ALASKA! Driving from California to Anchorage...

That would be under best driving conditions and not towing as it affects fuel stops.

How much would they give you off the $15599 price? You may have walked too soon.

RE: Anybody LOVE their Onan Microlite 2800 ?

If it runs and produces the proper electricity it likely is a good find. Most common problem was carburetor fouling.

RE: Sea Foam stabilizer

Put 1 oz for every gallon of gas in your tank. Run the engine and generator about 15 minutes shut them off until winter is over or you need to exercise genny. In your case this would be 4 cans of 16 oz each for a 55 gallon tank.
