RE: Catalytic converter anti-theft

The good citizens in Northern MN should be able to convince that pawn shop that they don't want to be in the catalytic converter business.

RE: Generators for 5er

We owned a Onan powered by propane in our 5th wheel. It could eat through a lot of propane. My choice for portable generators is gas and for home generators is natural gas.

RE: Cleaning the outside of the 5'er do to oxidation

Zep floor wax was popular a few years ago. It lasted longer. Check out YouTube

RE: Generators for 5er

I would go with 2 Westinghouse i4500 with a 50 amp parallel cord. We have two of their i2500 and they are strong and quiet with good fuel mileage. Two i4500 will provide all the juice you need and at times you will want to run only one. Our Westinghouse has been very reliable. They cost less than $900 per.

RE: No Shore power

If you remove the access panel in the storage compartment on the side facing the hot water heater, you will see it mounted to the floor. Mine is just past the vacuum canister installed in mine The above was copied from the keystone forum

RE: No Shore power

Possibility is bad wired (short) connection. I would cut gfi breaker off and then cut it back on. Do the same with all other breakers.

RE: No Shore power

Let's get our terms down. The converter charges your battery and converts 120 volts to 12v. A inverter takes 12v and boost it to 120 volts.

RE: Outrageous CA registration fee!

My motorhome is "Permanently" registered. So, there is no annual fee. That applies to my Dodge truck, my Jeep, the trailers, and the ATVs as well. Here, all vehicles 11 years old or older, all trailers (regardless of type or size), all motorcycles (that includes ATVs) and boats are permanently registered. But, then I went and bought a 2014 Subaru. I'll be paying annual fees on that for a few years... Montana is a perfect example of a SOCIALIST state. Yep. The receive $1.47 in federal fund for every dollar paid in federal taxes. Montana could not operate without help from NY, California and every other "left leaning" state. In a nutshell, they are a WELFARE state. Check your facts. California now received $12 MORE PER PERSON FROM THE FED THAN THEY PAID the fed.

RE: Outrageous CA registration fee!

It was the trend 15 years or so ago that many california residents lived there until retirement then moved out. Is that still the trend?

RE: Can now run the A/C while boondocking

Honda eu2000i provides 2000 surge 1800 running watts. I elected to go with Westinghouse IGen 2500 provides 2500 surge 2200 running watts. No need for the micro air easy start.

RE: Outrageous CA registration fee!

Come to Louisiana where $90 will get you a permanent registration for your RV. People like to blame politicians for the cost of living but in reality they are responsible for their own situation.

RE: Pensacola area... stuff to do?

Not to be missed: Wenger museum at Pensacola Naval station. It is a display of the US Naval Security Group. The other silent service. I cannot find any mention of that museum online, Admiral Wengler is mentioned, but no museum. I was interested since my father was in the Army Security Association and I think he taught at the Naval group school at one point. Could be because you are spelling Wenger incorrectly. The items in the museum were originally located at 3801 Nebraska Ave Washington DC which was headquarters of the security group and also a security station. It now is Homeland Security and what was (new name) the security group headquarters is at Fort Meade. Also see USNCVA.org. once there click on cryptologic command display and it will take you to a page that tells you about it.

RE: Switch to Direct TV

Direct will no longer sell/rent you a standard definition dome. You will need a HD dome or dish and receiver. You will find them much more expensive than Dish. Dish is $5 per month.

Not to be missed: Wenger museum at Pensacola Naval station. It is a display of the US Naval Security Group. The other silent service. Check it out and learn a little bit about what us "******" did for our country. At one time an advance pass had to be obtained to visit the museum.

RE: Predator 3500 vs 2 Champion 2500

Just this month bought 2 Westinghouse IGen2500 generator from Wally World at $502 each. Free shipping to home. Have used a Westinghouse igen2000xlt prior to these and it starts easy, runs quietly, and gets good fuel mileage. I've just started breaking in the new ones but they are quiet, start easy and are also good on gas also.

RE: Oregon to charge 25% more for out of state RV campers

We won't be visiting or camping in Oregon. I am sure they can get by without my business and tax dollars in their local economy. Too many other states who want my business.

RE: Mini Split AC

Possible not likely due to debris kicking up from roadway. Most have been mounted on tongue or back bumper.
