RE: Tear Drop

We had a Tab 320 and towed it with a 4RUNNER. Way too much TV.

RE: Maxxis M8008 still good?

Had both Maxis and Goodyear Endurance and both are good. Your preference.

RE: Are bicycles covered for roadside assistance?

I would think it would classed as a recreational vehicle.

RE: New small Airstream TT that will fit inside garage.

Our 16RB Airstream Bambi is 9ft 3in tall. One could remove the tires and put it on dollies and lower it a few inches but not likely enough to get it in most garages. After owning a motorhome, 5th wheel, teardrop, and 4 Airstreams we have found just what we need and want at this point in time. It is not uncommon for local citizens to stop by and ask questions and tell us how cute it is. When traveling we will be approached to answer questions and be told how cute it is. Anyone who purchases the car and Airstream in the article will have deep pockets.

RE: Honda 3000

If the Shasta is a retro model the AC is 5000 btu. The TC probably has a 13.5 btu AC. Lots of factors involved not the least of which is altitude and what ever else is being powered.

RE: Honda 3000

We have a 3000 and it is very capable. You don't describe the btu in each rig but if both are not trying to start at the same time I would say yes it will run both.

RE: How To Set Up An F-250 For Towing?

Your trailers connection should plug directly into one of your connectors on the truck. Your truck likely came with a brake controller if not buy one and install. You will need a weight distribution hitch with sway control to go with the ball.

RE: Price of camping

If it is River Road in New Braunfels it is more like $55

RE: I Bought Too Much Truck

I never got comfortable with the larger truck. Best ride to park and maneuver parking lots is a 2 door jeep wrangler. But they don't pull much. A half ton is much more friendly than what you bought but may not meet your needs. Your truck and trailer will take up a lot of real estate.

RE: Little Rock, AR to Jackson, MS

I thought 65 was 4 lanes mostly.

RE: Visible wants me to upgrade to new plan

My wife and I both moved to New service and it couldn't have been easier. When you elect to you will receive a new sim with fedex express delivery. The steps from there are very simple. We haven't noticed any change in service. Be aware party pay no longer applies. You will still be charged $25 per line. The 25 per line will apply until you choose to change to the $30 or $40 service or drop Visible completely. There is nothing but plus reasons to change and no negatives.

RE: Visible Cell Plans & Service

My wife and I each have our phones on visible and I have my watch on it also. Both phones on old plan at 25 each and watch at 5. Hotspot and streaming are great. Facetime is great.. Data is great we have never experienced any problem with phone service. Since we switched from Verizon about 3 years ago we have been satisfied.

Hot and humid as hell. Crime is rampant.

RE: Generator question

We had a 5th wheel with built in genny running on propane. It was very thirsty. It was convenient. After having both portable and built In I would go with a Honda 3200 mounted on the pin box. I would run it on gas. Easy starts in your AC units would help it out. Mounted is harder to steal and is readily available. You can easily run one AC and have power for other uses.

Lake Mead should show some increase in level.

Recent storms crossing California should help lake levels. It is too bad that more of what is available can't be captured.

RE: Freeport TX

People have been driving on those beachs since time began. The entrance/exit is usually plagued by soft rutted sand. I don't know the current camping allowances. You have Bryan, Quintana, Surfside, and Freeport beaches. Call one for current conditions. Brazoria County Beach advertises free camping and is wide and hard packed.

RE: Any help welcome...please

It appears they are asking about regular good sam and not the ers coverage. If so they are in the wrong section of this forum.

RE: Securing generator while running

Ours is on the tongue of the trailer in a tray and is held in place with a grollilla cable. If they really want it they can get it if we are away for a while. If we are nearby they are likely to get more than they bargained for.

RE: Chew on this.

The party is over for a while. Normal fluctuations in the market. Fuel costs have reached their new normal.
