RE: Need help with a Floor repair on a kodiak skamper by thor
Schlep1967 described what I would do. You can use a piece of 1/4 inch or thicker plywood to drive out the rotten sections. I would then lay in the new wall support and finish with a larger section of plywood.
RE: We knew it was coming...
I all truthfulness we need an adjustment in pricing. A small teardrop camper that sold for $8-9,000 is now selling for $22,000. Houses are now selling at more than double their previous price. Even if salaries had doubled those prices can not be sustained. Don't blame it on the price of oil. Capitalism making a buck by speculation.
RE: Dometic A/C Capacitors Smoking! Replacement part?
Go to capcon capacitors and pull up the list of oil filled capacitors and then look in the 370 volt list. About the 5th or 6th from the bottom on that list you will find the 60. It appears you can save a fair amount. No reason to buy more than one.
RE: Good RV Mattress for heavier people
We just purchased a foam mattress that is 7 inches thick. It has 5 inches of firm foam and 2 inches of memory foam. Cost was $659 and we haven't picked it up yet. Due to shape of the mattress the cost would have been prohibited to make one with springs and a pillow top.
RE: Do you pull your taillight housings monthly?
Neglect and then blame it on the manufacturer. Out of about 20 general motors cars and trucks over the years I have only had one truck from the mid to late 70s that rusted out under the doors. That may have been my fault as I used it to pull my boat to the coast.
